Based on the feedback on here, we have booked with JnJ for our 1st March 2024 day in Grenada whilst on our Britannia cruise.
Looking forward to this and maybe someone else on here will be on the same tour.
What is his contact info and what info did you get from him? We sail in April.

The only surviving part of Winchester Castle is the Great Hall, unworthy of more than 20 to 30 minutes. You perhaps meant Winchester Cathedral, which was built in the 10th Century and is magnificent, or Windsor Castle which was built in the 11th Century by William the Conqueror and is still a royal residence.
You really wouldn't have time to visit both - Windsor Castle is close to Heathrow and doesn't open 'til 10.00 am, both are worthy of at least two hours, travel time including both is over 2 hours, and you'll need to register at the cruise terminal by about 3.00pm.
A well-respected coach travel operator offers door-to-door cruise tour-transfers from Heathrow hotels to Southampton cruise terminals. Driver loads your luggage, it stays securely on the coach until it's unloaded at the cruise terminal. It supports most cruise ships. .
For tour-transfers from Heathrow they offer a choice of Windsor Castle or Stonehenge (note spelling).
For tour-transfers from Southampton to Heathrow and central London they offer a wider selection of all-day tour-transfers, but because of the need to register at the cruise terminal tour-transfers to port are timed to arrive at about 1.30 - 2.00pm

You are totally right, I was thinking Windsor, but wrote Winchester. My mistake, I usually proofread before posting.I appreciate the correction and your advice. Thank you.

I’m thinking of booking a hotel near Heathrow for one night and then take a shuttle to Southampton the next day for cruise. I would like to tour Winchester Castle and Stonehedge on the way to the port. Does anyone have recommendations?

It’s nice quiet shabby chic place, away from Babylon and T’erds of Grand Anse, with great views, tasty food and local gin shots, where one’s custom is valued.
If this is what one wishes, then it’s a go to place. However, some like the Babylon masses of Grand Anse and all that goes with it, therefore GA is their go to place.
Sounds like my place to be.

Plywood is on BBC Beach, first section of Morne Rouge Beach
Oh, gotcha! Is this the place to be?

Beach = La Plywood NOT Grand Anse
Plenty of shops/stalls selling alcohol, brickabat, souvenirs, spices etc., within the port covered area to satisfy the most discerning of shopper. Also there is an official taxi Despatcher Desk/Kiosk where rates are published, for Tours and the ride to Plywood. Your outward driver will be pleased have one book them for the return. Plywood did have bed rental, think it was $10 for two.
La Plywood menu prices a ECD. As a rough calculation into USD divide by two then deduct 25%
Did they change the name of the beach, or is this sarcasm? I’m looking for a beach for the day and don’t want to ask for wrong beach area.

Looking for a company in St. Thomas that offers parasailing. Any recommendations?

Ok - just booked with Danica transportation. I’ll report back after cruise and give a review.

Are there any recommendations of hotels in Orlando with airport and cruise port shuttles?

Do you have contact info for Royston?

We just got off the Sky on an 11 day cruise that went to many of the same ports. There were only a couple of tours listed when we booked, but many more were added as the departure date neared.
Would you mind sharing what you did you do at each port to give us some ideas. Thank you.

This is good to hear as I have been looking daily.

I’m just wondering if we would get better rates booking while on a NCL cruise for future sailings instead of when not.
What are your thoughts?

Not that I'm aware of.
Are you asking about a cruise that makes a port call in San Juan? For port calls NCL docks in Old San Juan 99.999% of the time.
Pan American Pier is normally only used as an embarkation/disembarkation port so there would be no need for shuttles to OSJ.
Ok. It said Pan American on my docs, but yes it is a port call, so I am hoping we aren’t that .001%. 🤣.

Does NCL provide free shuttles into Old San Juan from Pan American Pier?

We just booked with RV Tours for our cruise in November. I spoke to the owner Rene and he fully explained the tours and even customized it for what we wanted to do. Roughly the same price as the other tours.
Do you mind sharing what your customized tour consisted of? We will be there on our anniversary and I’d love a private extension tour since we have never been.

Just booked an anniversary cruise on the Sky for June 2023. We know it’s an older ship but are fine with that as we plan on relaxing.
I am holding a stateroom for June 8 sailing and plan to book on Tuesday. We too will be celebrating a big anniversary. I just wanted a small ship and an itinerary with access to beach time.

Am I right for ArrIveCan that we need a Covid test 72 hours before boarding ship to Canada or is it still 48 (vaccinated and boosted)?
It was 48 when we cruised in May, but above instructions look like 72.

We are boarding in Seattle also, same stop in Victoria. Called NCL, told we did not need any Arrive Can documentation. I did not feel comfortable with the persons knowledge, so am reaching out to any posters who have actually boarded an Alaska Cruise in Seattle, did you have to show a Arrive Can receipts or whatever it is called to board the Ship??
We did at the end of May.
-
I definitely want to see all the above mentioned since we have never been to NY before - does NCL Joy have a forward open deck under the Bridge open to all passengers? If so on what deck?

I don't believe there is any more free testing. Doing a telehealth is probably the best option.
Is there a place we could use our insurance nearby?
-
Does anyone know where we can get a free Covid test prior to cruising?
We are staying on W 44th Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue. -
I’ve always worn backpacks on shore excursions or just exploring cities, but in May I carried a Travelon anti theft crossbody bag and found it weighing me down and causing shoulder discomfort. Does anyone have suggestions for a lightweight bag (big enough for water bottle, rolled jacket and phone, travel umbrella and small wallet).
