Mariner along with the other voyager class and the freedom class ships has about 10 small grey horns that sound like sport air horns scattered around the ship on the upper decks. They only sound when the emergency alarms sound. There is a switch on the bridge that allows for these horns to be turned off or the main ships horn to be sounded aswell. Not all ships with them use them . The pa tones bells and buzzers thru out the ship will sound regardless if the horns are on or not

Brain Leavitt Has now taken over on Brilliance

Royal night menu is only offer on 7 nights or longer. Also means no baked Alaska. On the six night cruise, I’m on mariner on one at the moment. Menus in order are
Welcome Aboard
A taste of France
A taste of the Carribean
A taste of the USA
A taste of Italy
Welcome to Bon Voyage

I noticed on CruiseMapper that Brilliance is still in English bay. How will that effect the itineraries? Heard alpha called as she was pulling away

I was recently on Radiance and saw City of Dreams. It’s a good show. In fact, they are performing all 3 of the production shows every cruise now you will also get to see piano. Man and tango Buenos Aires

Just got off Radiance with my best friend and we were able to have 3 baked Alaska’s. That is our favorite dessert. Sometimes I saw other people order to appetizers.
-
In Canada, the rule for cruise ships is that they can only have one bar open on each deck for example, Schooner Bar on the radiance could be open but the ones in the Safari club, casino, champagne bar,and the pub would have to remain closed. The remaining bars would open shortly after departure.

The form is sent and has to be done 3 days in advance of sailing

Hopefully Captain Marek will put on his usual rendition of Bon Jovi it’s my life and we are the world on the last night of the cruise. I heard him last year and boarding Radiance in 6 days with a friend

If it is a surprise drill for the crew they will cal Oscar Oscar Oscar port/ starboard side and then add this is a drill for crew only. I have experienced a drill where the emergency signal went off without a announcement that it was a drill and saw lots of passengers grabbing life jackets and heading to muster stations
-
They are crew stairs. In a emergency passengers can use them to get to thier muster station
-
The best way to check in and account for all passengers is to preform an actual muster of the ship. Holland America had a passenger throw a life ring in the water once and that’s what they did. They sounded the 7 short 1 long signal and had everyone go to thier muster station where attendance was taken..

The only difference i found between the cl and dl comes with the new drink card system. The concierge lounge, has the classic happy hour unlimited drinks while the diamond lounge uses the current vouchers. I have been using the diamond lounge as I found no difference between the 2 and sometimes if there’s a lot of diamonds on board a ship, for example a transatlantic or transpacific they would have the happy hour in a bigger venue , on the voyager or freedom class, they would use the star lounge on deck five or the entire Viking crown lounge. Some ships now put the diamond lounge on deck 5 instead of 14

On Radiance there would be at least one fire door in which a passenger has pressed the manual door release button to close the door. Even though that works to block noise it is problematic aswell. Elderly Passengers or passengers with disabilities may have hard times opening the doors as fire doors are very heavy and close really fast.

It was announced after the safety briefing today that Royal will be visiting Skagway after all as space became available. Royal will be parking at Railroad dock aft and using the tender service .

CVM Medical has a testing clinic at the airport right beside the US check-in desks. Look to the right of the counters towards the end past the entrance to the hotel when you enter the terminal . You can get the results in 15 minutesYou can get the results in 15 minutes. this is the testing info sheet that Royal Caribbean Will deliver to your state room with website for them and Other testing providers in the Vancouver area

The video and emergency signal on the app will count when you view it well the countdown timer on the safety page is displayed you can even do those two steps at home or in your hotel and visit the master station first thing upon Boarding and then you’re done. My next screws I may wash the video on the skytrain Heading to the Terminal

I thought the luggage cages were usually kept onboard? Then it seems that they might need some forklifts? But I agree with you, I don't think it will be a smooth process, plus they have to re-assign all of the passengers to new cabins.
They can assign them to the same cabin on the new ship as the Conquest is one of the sister ships to the freedom

The onboard activities will be available. When the ship is in its second port of call they may have a crew drill. Some crew will have to attend to it and if you are out on deck the alarms are the loudest I heard ( like 10 sports airhorns going off all at once). Best part of port days, however, is that there might not be a much of a line for activities like the slides.
