  1. We stayed, combined with a Star Flyer Cruise, at the Elektra for 3 nights. The hotel is great! You can walk to all sites. We loved it. The food was also great! Up on the roof!!! Great views!!!

  2. Thank you for your answer!!! I am logged on to CC, but I keep getting in a ring of log-in and log out and can't get much further. I took the link from the notification email.

I would have answered earlier. I will read your answer again and again and again and hope to enjoy my stay.

    will get back to you.

Oh, bad news for such a small port! Too many ships at one time!!! I agree.....UGH!!!

  3. Hi!!! Just trying to get this right. Please be patient . Thanks in advance!

    1) There "may" be a trolley along the pier to the end of the pier , where there should be a kiosk (free).

    2) At this kiosk you can board a shuttle to Mahahual for $3 pp .

    3) This shuttle does not return to the Pier-end .

    4) Passengers have to take a Taxi back for $3 pp.

    a) are these taxis that collect people on the way?

    b) can you just flag one down?

    Thanks again!

  4. OK, that is sad to hear. Does anyone have tips for eating Lobster near Lunenburg? Or in Lunenburg?? Fresh, boiled, just good-tasting!!!

    Thank you!!!

Oh! Just found a link to restaurants in Lunenburg here on CC. thanks anyway

  5. Hi!! There are just some poeple who don't want to drive or can not. Is there a way to get to Louisbourg from Sydney without driving or without doing the ship tour thing??? We usually take a bus or taxi or something like that. But I am finding no information about this. Thank you in advance!

  6. Yes I agree with you, the snorkeling there is fine. But Petit Bateaux (BBQ) is much better - on the other side!!! There is a path which leads to the other side. No Chairs or so, but snorkeling....SNORKELING!!! Amazing. We had great luck and had calm water and very, very clear water. And a lot of Iguanas!!!

  7. The quilts are all the same size on all ships of the star clippers. About 6 ft long and 3,5 to 4 ft wide. Each person has his own quilt. What do you mean with keeping them together? Remember, the owners of Star Clippers are Europeans. This is how the Europeans (most) sleep. Germans, Italiens, Spaniards, French. The one-bed quilt is more typical of America.

  8. Hi! We were on the RC in Dec going from Barbados over to Venezuela, ABC's and back. We were only about 115 Paxe. It was great. No Problems with tables, etc. The crew was wonderful AND our Cruise Director was terrific. We didn't have much fun with Mariusz. And unfortunately we couldn't understand him well. Our Hotel Director was also good. Due to the fact, that we were so few people on board, I guess everything went almost perfect. The food was sooooo good!!! We are used to the captains being outgoing, but Mariusz wasn't very open. I guess he missed his family. The guys and girls doing the drinks were top.

We really enjoyed ourselves. It was our 3rd time on the RC and the 6th cruise with Star Clippers.

    Captain - Mariusz

    Hotel Directress - Anita Rollin

    Cruise Director - Gabor Torma

  9. Hi! Can anyone give some up-to-date information on Wi-Fi on Board the Star Clipper ships? Cost? Speed? Availability???

    Thanks in advance!

Any information on free Wi-Fi in the south caribbean?

    Again, thanks!!

  10. We always take a cat4 cabin on the Royal Clipper and the Star Clipper and the Star Flyer. Of course it is our choice and we know why we do it. A sail on the wonderful Clippers is not the same as cruise on a cruise ship. You feel the ocean. You hear the ocean. The boat is alive!!!
