December 31st, 2023 Sea Day Somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle...

I had no rooting interest in the game. It was just something fun to do!

After dinner, we headed down to the Theater for Linda Belt's Adult Comedy Show Afterwards, we headed up to the Sports Bar to watch Lions vs Cowboys. Mudslide! Susan got Chips and Artichoke Dip I got a burger. It was a good game and we headed to bed after it was over!

Cream of potato soup Tomato Salad Country-style Pate Grilled New York Strip Steak Grilled Mahi-Mahi Dessert Menu Coconut & Mango Cake (I had to go to the video clip we filmed to double check) Apple & Pear Crisp (Susan and I shared this one) I also got a double chocolate roulade

So stragglers kept making their way back to the ship. But we caught wind that one of the bigger shore excursions with almost 100 people was running late. Getaway is sailing off. Brian and the Shore Ex Manager were trying to find out where the shore Excursion was. The group above them had a family member taken off by ambulance when we arrived, and they were getting things situated to leave a family member in Puerto Plata to assist that member of the family who didn't make it back to the ship. Finally, the Shore excursion group made it back. We pulled up the gangway an hour after we were supposed to sail. Susan got Adult Starbucks! They threw a shot of baileys into the Frappuccino before blending it! Go Premium Plus beverage package! We are off the dock! Goodbye Puerto Plata! Next stop Baltimore!

We got back into our room and found our laundry bag was back! We headed out to Deck 6 to say goodbye to Trace & Maria Look we found @tgloersen! Maria came out as well! Getaway pulling out of Puerto Plata! Next stop New York City! Getaway making its turn!

Norwegian Getaway was trying to get their people on as fast as they could. They were almost at the sail time and had a huge line still. Much shorter line! Susan is dancing to the music!

Finally we reached the Duty Free store which is the end of the area We grabbed a cart to ride back to the ship as our legs were toast after the walk.

We arrived back at Taino bay. We of course had to walk through the entire Port area to get back to the ship. lazy river

Then we went to see the Parrots and Macaws We had a fun time at Ocean World. We would recommend it to others who are considering it! Time to board the bus back!

After lunch, we went to the bird enclosure Susan got some bird feed from the lady and held her hand out and got several birds. Then it was my turn! I have them eating out of both of my hands!

I have sailed the Sun 4 times. We have had mostly positive experiences every time we have sailed her. People need to have the realization that she does not have all the bells and whistles of the newer ships. I honestly like that. I like the more intimate crew to passenger interaction. I like how you rarely feel crowded on the Sun. I would suggest giving her a shot.

The waters were really calm that day in Tortola. Thank you!

The dolphin show was incredible! Finally it was time for lunch! -- Note: I will be at a Conference the next couple of days. I will finish up Ocean World and the rest of the day when I get back from the Conference.

We then went to watch the main dolphin show.

We watched the Shark feeding People pay to pet the sharks. No thank you!

We were on a shortened day visit to Ocean World, but we were still excited to visit.

Susan went to the production show. I can't remember what i did that evening. I may have crashed early. Tomorrow is our final Port Day.
