  1. We did the B2B Canada, Greenland, Iceland on the Celebrity Summit in August of 2022. The ship left from Cape Liberty but returned to Boston. We absolutely loved every moment of the 24 days even though we spent 7 of the days quarantined with Covid on the second leg. We had an oceanview cabin at the very front of the ship on deck 6 which gave us beautiful views especially when we went through the Prins Christian Sund. We had visited the Canadian ports on prior cruises but enjoyed them none the less. The excursions were quite pricey but sold out very quickly. However, there were other slightly cheaper options as fellow cruisers set up private excursions and gave CC roll call folks opportunities to join them. So, I suggest that you join the roll call and stay active up to your cruise. We did a puffin and whale watching excursion I believe at St. John's. We just walked around Qaqortoq. We did another sea life excursion in Akureyri. I forget what we had planned for Isafjordur but we missed it because of rough seas and we were sick on the return to this port. We had an excursion planned for Reykjavik but Celebrity fumbled the ball on how they went about processing those doing the back to back. They took so long that we had to cancel our excursion. A couple of tips. Dress in layers Take a mosquito net that goes over your hat to cover your face and neck in case the bugs are out in full force. Have fun
  2. I too pack a universal remote along with multiple angled HDMI adapters to cover the varying HDMI locations on the TV.
  3. In your favorite browser, do a search for "anti theft beach bag". The "LocTote" looks pretty impressive! (Not affiliated with any of the products). We will be visiting Horseshoe Bay beach in June. Have a great trip.
  4. We drive from Pittsburgh PA and stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Elizabeth. We have found them to be the best value of those hotels on International blvd. They have a Park & Cruise package that includes transportation to the port. The rate covers up to 8 nights of parking with each additional nights at $10. The longest we ever parked there was for 12 nights. The hotel parking is gated. Our experience with the shuttles have always been timely at both the hotel and port. The only slight negative is that the shuttle reservations to the port are first come first served. So you cannot book your shuttle time until you arrive at the hotel.
  5. We just booked the Island Princess for an 18 Day Canada & Greenland cruise. I have watched several vlogs but I have not been able to determine if there is a place that is open at night (like from 10pm to 1am) to get snacks or do you have to order room service?
  6. Thanks everyone for your help! I have booked the 18 Day Canada & Greenland cruise for July 2025. I will now hang out on this Princess board and learn as much as I can. I have 3 more cruises before this one but I am really excited about trying a new cruise line!
  7. @partybarbieThe forward ocean view with the sofa is what I was looking to book. My DW and I would otherwise go crazy if we only had the bed and the desk chair to sit on for 18 days 😀. Again, this is my first time booking a Princess cruise. I typically purchase my cruise insurance from a third party. Am I required to get insurance from Princess?
  8. Thanks @reedprincess I was just confused as to why the site did not present me with the opportunity to purchase one of the packages as it did for all other stateroom types.
  9. I am planning my first cruise with Princess and I need a little help with understanding the amenities associated with a mini suite. I have been doing a few fake bookings on their site to understand how Princess works before reaching out to my TA. If I book an inside room, a standard oceanview, or a balcony, I get the option to upgrade to a package (Princess Plus or Princess Premier). However, when I book an OceanView Mini Suite (no balcony), there is no option for either package and the booking summary shows "Princess Standard" applied. Does this mean that an internet and a drink package of some sort are included or does it mean that there is no package available for this option and I have to purchase each item separately? BTW, I'm really looking forward to this 18 day Canada & Greenland cruise out of New York. Thanks in advance.
  10. We had our first cruise with MSC on the Meraviglia in April of this year. We are not dining room folks, so all our meals were in the buffet. We were quite pleased with our meals particularly since we had read so many discouraging reports about their food. We did 3 Royal Caribbean cruises(Anthem 1, Oasis 2) also this year and were much more disappointed in the Windjammer than the MSC buffet. We are looking forward to our April 2024 cruise aboard the Meraviglia. Always keep in mind that critiquing food is very subjective.
  11. Wow! I was holding off on submitting my shareholder OBC request for my January cruise as I thought it was too far out. I'm going to submit mine now. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Steeler Nation At Sea, Look at this current listing and post #18 shows all the menus for a 7 night cruise. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2892595-dining-menus-in-main-restaurant/?do=getNewComment
