  1. This is what I remember doing. I created a SilverSea account. Then I signed into Celebrity App. Went to my page that has my name and Club Points. Tapped on Club Points. Then Loyalty Match and linked my SilverSea account. I hope this helps. There was a thread about loyalty points and Royal, Celebrity, and Sliversea.

  2. The following is from the Q & A from Laura Hodges Bethge.

"We are continuously working on our menu variety whether that is rotating the menu items based on guest feedback or giving our chefs onboard the creative freedom to experiment and make the dishes we offer their own. Whenever you find yourself craving something on one of our MDR menus, but want to stay in the comfort of Luminae, we can have the food prepared and brought to you directly in Luminae. If you’re on an Edge Series ship this includes anything from Tuscan, Cosmopolitan, Cyprus, or Normandie. We will take this feedback back to the team too. We appreciate the feedback and are constantly looking for ways to elevate the experience on board for our guests."

  3. Personally I try an avoid booking Edge Class ships. We have only been on Edge and Apex once each. Apex was last June. We had a nice time, but just dont like Luminae's limited menu.

Our friends from the UK picked the Apex. We were both in sky suites.

After 2 cruises on the Edge Class ships in suites. I have decided that Edge Class ships might best be enjoyed if not booked in a suite. But, very few real balconies on E Class ships. Or book a RS or above to see if I might enjoy the Edge Class ships better. All upper suites are forward. I like being centre to aft.

Writing this reminds me of why I like the M and S Class ships.

  4. We were on a cruise that was to stop in Cabo San Lucas. We missed stopping in CSL, but had a seaday instead. We stayed a 100 miles away from the storm. It was a nice sunny seaday.

  5. We were just on Solstice in a RS this month. I did receive an email from shoreside concierge. I emailed back what vodka bottles I wanted and what times and nights I wanted to dine in the specialty restaurants. I also said what size of pajamas and monogram I wanted. I received confirmation email and that the reservations will not show up on the app until we board the ship. I received a phone call about 1 week before just to confirm my requests.

This was our 1st cruise that we were in a upper suite.

There was only one thing that I was confused about. I asked the Retreat Concierge about lunch in a specialty dining restaurant on a seaday. I was told that lunch in the specialty restaurant was not included. Celebrity website said it is. Well we know Celebrity's website is not always right. I checked out the lunch menu in Murano. We liked the Luminae menu better. So I did not push my question about lunch being included. We did have lunch one day at Sushi on 5 and there was no charge. I did tell the Retreat Concierge that I was not asking about the Alaskan Crab Shack Lunch which would be a charge.

  6. We have cruised Alaska many times. My 1st choice would be Summit out of Seward. Add a few days to stay in Seward. There are some great tours out of Seward to see wildlife. The Summit was revolutionize. We did this cruise in 2022 on Millie. We were just on Solstice out of Vancouver BC this month.

We dont do the Alaska cruise out of Seattle. Out of Seattle you go on the west side of Vancouver Island. What I call a true inside passage goes between Vancouver Island and mainland Canada.

Things to see in Seattle are Pike Street Market, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Wings over Washington, and the Space Needle. Vancouver has Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Granville Market (nicer than Pike Street Market), Hop on Hop off bus.

I have 2 favorite stops in Alaska. Icy Strait Point features the world's largest ZipRider, with six 5,330' ziplines dropping 1330'. Ketchikan for the Totem Heritage Center, Creek Street, Married Man's Trail and the Salmon Ladder are also not to be missed when exploring.

If you decide on Edge out of Seattle do go to Butchart Gardens even at night. My 2 draw backs of the Edge is the Retreat Lounge does not have a really bar. Food options are limited in Luminae as Luminae is not close to the MDR.

  7. It seems like the casino opens about 10am-? on sea days. As to port days, I want to say 2 hours after the ship leaves port. I think opening times are based on miles from land.

We were just on Solstice to Alaska. The casino seem to be open after 1st seating in the MDR dinner finishes.

  8. While avocado toast is not on the menu in Luminae. I have seen guacamole at lunch time in the Oceanview cafe.

This is what I would do. Once on board the ship. I would have lunch in Luminae. Normally open from 12 to 1:30. While in Luminae talk to the maître d. Ask about having avocado toast for breakfast each day. Luminae will make off menu items with a 24 hour notice. I dont see avocado toast being a problem to have for breakfast.

  9. We have over 50 cruises and about 38 with Celebrity. Our cruise on X last year the Oceanview was getting better. The Prime Rib was good in the MDR. The beef in Luminae was bad. Our June cruise Oceanview was very good. Still the beef in Luminae and the specially Restaurants were bad. We are on Solstice right now and the Oceanview is very good. The beef in Luminae and Murano were very good.

We are doing LPC tonight on Solstice. We got to be there in 15 mins. Not sure the cost as it is included with our suite.

Overall the meal was very good. The short ribs and the desert were really good.
