  1. The Allure will not be stopping in Nassau as we will do a Western itinerary...i may be in the minority, but, Nassau is my least favorite port.On our last two visits we stayed aboard the ship.

On our prior visits, we were constantly harrased to buy things, had someone demand money, and almost robbed on tbe number 10 bus.

Our driver knew what was going to happen to us, stopped and threw the guy off who was stalking us.

  2. That is troubling...we booked the Seaside for February, but, the booking process left me very uneasy..lots of "i'm not sure, or that information is not available yet"

If they wan't to have a positive vibe in the USA..they need to step the experience for customers, they may be low priced at this point, but, it may be worthwhile to go with and established cruise line that has a handle on customer service

  3. Cruise fares, gratuties, excursions, incidentals, air fare, airport parking, transfers, add up to a very expensive vacation, especially when traveling with a family

I know that many cruises are sold out and the bean counters are ordering new ships with additional capacity, but, for the average Joe Sixpack like myself, the total costs are becoming prohibitive.

I'm also considering the value proposition of what we receive in exchange for our money...cutbacks and reductions in service, same tired old ports, lead up to a diminishing experience.

Now, I have cruised many times, I intend to cruise again, but, for many folks the cruise vacation is becoming out of reach.

    Just my opinion

  4. I hear ya....when you add in the cruise fares, incidentals, gratuities, excursions, transfers, airport parking and expensive flights...cruising is becoming unaffordable.....expecially, when traveling with a family..

I know many cruises are sold out and the bean counters are planning for additional capacity, but, from my perspective we have to consider alternative vacations

Spending several thousand dollars to stop in Nassau for six hours doesn't make sense
