C.D.C. Change in COVID-19 Testing Requirement
The U.S. CDC has revised their pre-cruise COVID-19 testing requirement for all cruises departing U.S. ports from September 13th, 2021.
Vaccinated guests must present a negative PCR or antigen test result taken no more than 2 days prior to sailing in order to board. (Previously, it was 3 days.) Check out our new, easy, and convenient at-home test below.
Unvaccinated children ages 2 to 11 must present a negative PCR test result taken no more than 3 days prior to sailing in order to board. (Antigen tests are no longer accepted.) There continues to be no testing
required for guests under age 2.
Your test result must be issued by an accredited test provider and show a laboratory negative result that can be printed out or shown on your phone. Test cost continues to be the guest's responsibility. Learn about accepted tests at RoyalCaribbean.com/Test.
Starting Wednesday, September 8th, fully vaccinated guests can order at-home test kits, shipped right to your door (anywhere in the U.S.) in two business days or less. Complete your pre-cruise test at home, with live video supervision by a Certified Guide. Get your results in 15 minutes.
Visit RoyalCaribbean.com/HomeTestKit.
The remainder of our health and safety protocols remain unchanged.
Visit RoyalCaribbean.com/Health for all of our health
protocols & additional details.
If you have questions about these protocols or have any concerns about sailing as a result of them, please contact us at 954-628-9290 or 1 (800) 256-6649. We’re here to answer your questions or work with you on additional options as we get you ready for your vacation.LEARN MORE I wonder how much they will cost?

Any word on if a COVID-19 test be required on September Oasis cruises departing from Cape Liberty? I do know that you have to have proof of vaccination.
I think it will be required for a while.

Got an email on 8/23 directly from RCI reservations that we no longer held our Cat 2D on the Oasis on the 9/12 sailing from Bayonne. Called my TA and was told through RCI that our cabin was no longer ours due to CDC spacing of cabins. We would be notified in a week as to where we were going to be located. We'll contemplate our next move as it gets closer.
Would love to know what you get once you find out.

Sounds like it was a like for like cabin so probably the same category
We don't go till the end of January on the Oasis so that will give time to see what is happening with others. Let me know if you end up getting moved and to what type of room.

Someone on our cruise on Allure on 9/12 said they got moved. We are in CP with our travel companions nextdoor so hopefully we dont get bumped!
Do you know what category they got moved to? Was it oceanview balcony or a higher category? We have Central Park Balcony for our next cruise.
-
Does anyone know if on the Oasis & Allure if they are moving people who have Central Park or Boardwalk Balcony rooms? I hear some people have had rooms switched.

It really depends on preference or Royal IT on which is better for check-in. Currently reservations have to be made on app when you board or at guest services.
Once I board and go on the app will I go to the calendar section to make reservations?
-
In what part of the Royal App will reservations become available? I am new to using the app. Also is it better to do check-in online or in the app?
-
Back in early July I was able to get $400 taken off my Oasis cruise. We have a Central Park Balcony. Was super excited to get the price reduced. Not sure we will be lucky enough to get much more off but $400 is great, and we got to keep our onboard credit.

The ID NOW one is the one Walgreens give and yes it's accepted. It's on that extensive list posted here somewhere
Walgreens does the ID Now (rapid diagnostic) & BinaxNOW (antigen)

From my understanding, any test that comes from a licensed testing facility such as CVS or Walgreens will be accepted EXCEPT the one that checks for COVID antibodies from previous COVID infection
So it looks like Walgreens rapid diagnostic test is rapid molecular test.

Prior to the pandemic I always arrived at a cruise port at 9:30 AM and ver boarded later than 11:30 AM despite my designated arrival time.
Those days are over for the near future.

Yes if you are talking about the one you do at the drive thru
They have a rapid antigen test and also a rapid diagnostic. Was curious if the diagnostic was acceptable? I don't really know the difference.

And...we also got a 3 pm slot for a November Allure sailing. My question is what happens if we show up at noon or 11 am?
They are being super strict now and not letting people check in till their time. If you show up at 11 you will be waiting outside till 3. Better to just show up close to your time.

Does Royal allow the rapid diagnostic test that Walgreens has?

It works on the Firefox app on my phone but not Chrome. Not sure what is going on.

Can anyone recommend a day stay hotel in the Miami area for after our cruise?

Concur with above, but I doubt Sanctuary bookings will be moving to pre-cruise time period.
If you want that on a Caribbean sector voyage, you better have the earliest boarding group or fuhgeddaboudit.
So your saying it sells out fast?

At this point, anything can change when cruising re-starts!
But I believe it has been $40.00 pp per day, or $30.00 per day for the week/cruise.
And, just in case there is any confusion, it is not like a 'pass', but you actually do pick our and reserve your loungers.
Can you book it before the cruise or can it only be booked on the cruise?
-
I saw someplace that they served Mexican food at the outrigger bar? Do they still do that on the Regal?
-
I see that you can get Sanctuary passes for $20 for half day & $40 for full day. Does anyone know the cost for a week long pass?

I had originally called and didn't get a working solution so I sent an email to: A360ad7@carnival.com and they started working on it right away. Share your complete name, booking number, device the app is on, the operating system used and the version of that.
They wrote back within a day and solved my issue with a couple of days.
The app is not linking my booking number. Saying information does not match our records or at times saying no booking number found. Also not letting me put in my address on the app. Would I use the email address A360ad7@carnival.com that you used for help? How quickly did they resolve your issue?

Did you try to log in with ID & Password? Use the same ones as your Personalizer.
Go and log in to Personalizer first and don’t log out. Try app again.Nope still nothing. I created an account for the app but it will not take my booking number. System is saying no booking number found when I put it in to try and link it.
-
MedallionClass App will not take my booking number. Says information does not match our records. Can any help? I am going crazy. Anyone else have this issue?
Rccl now requires a covid19 test within 2 days of sailing!
