  1. Hi.

I will be on the Allure in August and will be booking Chops once onboard since this is one of the items our TA gave us after we booked (we are a family of 19). However, my family would like to do another specialty. My dd and her boyfriend will already be doing 150 CP so I'm looking to book something different. We usually do Hibachi on NCL ships, but the specialty restaurants are included in my fare. Hibachi on Allure is $45. Does it usually get good reviews? We will be a group of 12 going.

    Thank you.

we did hibachi with 7 of us and it was a great time. lots of interaction and it was nice seeing everyone getting involved. for us if everyone is having fun then the price is not important. i would not do it again if it was just my wife and i. for a bigger party i certainly would.

it appears you are looking to book chops while on board for 19. i think you might have a hard time booking that on the ship. i would call and have that reserved. i don't see anyway that they can accommodate 19 if you wait. i could be wrong. have a great cruise. we are back on Allure in June.

  2. I still dream about that room. A lot of walking, esp with a toddler, but the fact we could sit out at watch the water shows and enjoy the peace and quiet was amazing!

i am dreaming about it now.

what a treat that was. just so you know. we have stayed in 9660 and 10660 a couple times. those decks are also great. i mentioned i would take 8660 because it is not connecting. that is a big plus for my wife and I. good luck with the choice. whatever it is enjoy.

  3. tough call for me but I would take 11308.

reason being it looks like now you have a good location but you also have cabins on either side that can take up to 4 people (i could be wrong but it looks that way to me). i always stay away from that situation when traveling with just my wife.

11308 i believe has 2 person cabins on either side. I always like that better. of course that's just my opinion.

  4. Hi

We will be sailing on Allure if the Seas.

I am torn between an Owners Suite or Crown Loft Suite.

Which would you choose and why? Pros and Cons of either one?

I booked the Owner’s Suite but am debating switching.

I know both are great choices.

    Thank you

Almost all of our cruises (14) have been in a GS (last 4 cruises have been on Allure). Our last Allure cruise the upgrade fairy put us in the OS. Super excited we got the bump up to the OS. We always wanted to try the OS but always thought the price was steep.

We have never sailed in the CL but wanted to give you our opinion on the OS.

    PROS

    1) location is awesome

    2) cabin size is very big (especially for 2)

    3) balcony is very large with nice furniture.

    4) we thought the layout was great too.

CONS (just our opinions but might be important to you)

    1) shower was tiny in the OS (well we thought so). We could not believe how big the cabin was and how small the shower was. My wife really didn't like it.

just our opinion. we would take the GS over the OS every time strictly because of the tub/shower combo in the GS. We would not take another upgrade to the OS. We would take an upgrade to any of the CL to try them out.

Have a great cruise. (again just our opinion but we wanted to put it out for you to read. if you can deal with a smaller shower you will love the OS). it is a great cabin.

  5. Hi,

We just got off Harmony last week. What a blast that was.

    1) Wrinkles. The only way I know of is to get whatever you need pressed on board. The only issue is of course they charge for it.

    2) Towels. You can check out towels and take them off with you at the ports. Just keep in mind they will charge $25 per towels if not returned by cruise end.

    3) Cruise crowd. All different ages on every cruise we have taken and that was our 17th.

    4) Specialty booking. We always book before we go. I am sure you would be able to get a reservation on board if you like. The only thing that you might not get is the actual time that you are looking for.

    Enjoy you cruise.

  6. I would double check with the steward, but I don't see why you couldn't put the laundry in the bag the first night so it would be ready for the turn down service by the steward. The caveat would be, at least what I think, is that you will be paying a higher price for the service as it would then become "same day service."

The steward may even suggest that it be picked up early the next morning instead of that night. I don't see any way around paying the higher price as laundry usually goes in the morning and is returned the next day or even a day later.

    Thanks...

  7. If I book a spa treatment on line prior to my cruise and pay the full price will I get an OBC for the difference?

    Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

My wife always pre-books her spa services before we board.

Our last trip on Allure a few months ago they credited our account because we are diamond members.

We had to do a little pushing but they did.

The time before they wouldn't budge. So it all depends but certainly ask for it.
