Bellaggio Cruisers

We learned our lesson, traveling to Copenhagen from EWR several years ago…. For a 24 day cruise. Luggage lost! Had meds with us. We went to a department store and purchased all the essentials. Arrived at ship…no luggage. Husbands luggage showed up next day. Mine never did. The ship provided us free laundry. Sent clothes to be done every other day. At dinner, I wore my black travel pants with my husbands dressshirt as a cover up. No one ever commented about our attire. Most knew what happened. We managed and learned to travel light on planes. Carry ons and backpacks only. Fortunately, we we live in florida. So when we cruise now, no flying. But, we have learned to pack less. sheila

We stayed in Southampton pre cruise several years ago…had a delightful time. We took a taxi for the day and he showed up us the area including Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge. Ate in some great pubs in the area. One was called Red Lion. Great atmosphere. sheila

We were discussing this tonight…Celebrity offers the Royal suite which is comparable in size to the Regent penthouse suites. Celebrity pricing is much lower. Regent includes everything and it’s shore excursions. So..the comparison will be food and service. At our age, we no longer care where we go …but look for a luxurious environment, great food and wonderful service. I will let you know! sheila

Equinox..

Wow… how can I thank each one of you? You have restored my faith in sailing with Celebrity. We have planned our dining reservations so each night is covered. I did read that we should plan for lunch ( lobster roll) and Dinner the first night in Luminae. We really want to sample all that Celebrity Equinox offers. So…..I will wait and be patient. However, I did send my note to the gal mentioned in one of your responses. Please keep sending me all the information I should know. Really looking forward to sailing again! sheila

We have not sailed with Celebrity in more than a decade. We decided to try Celebrity again and have a sailing booked for September 2022. We decided to really splurge and reserved a Royal Suite. I was told that there is a special phone number to reach out to the Retreat for information and my dining reservations. Specialty restaurants are included for Royal Suite guests. I have phoned that telephone number…877-RETREAT everyday this week. Guess what… after holding each time for hours, I wind up with a Celebrity reservations person. They apparently do not know what I am asking about. Last person told me to book Specialty dining online. She said it is not included. I have reached my limit with this. Totally frustrated. Any suggestions??? sheila.

We are on the same cruise, same category, the following sailing. Interesting advice. Haven’t been on Celebrity in many years. We normally cruise on Regent. Let’s see how it compares….. sheila

We have reserved the Royal Suite #1239 on Equinox. Haven’t sailed on Celebrity in more than 10 years. I would love to hear comments on this. Thanks Sheila

I use a mobility scooter on our cruises. It’s great to get around the ship and I can use it in most ports around the world. We follow advice of the tour desk. I, too, stay on the bus sometimes when my husband takes the tour. Always enjoy it!

So… what’s happening with the two Amazon cruises, scheduled for March and April? Anyone know of changes to the itineries? Thanks Sheila
