Hi RR I,m well hope you are too Speciality dining not being available yet isn,t a big issue for us as its something we haven,t done but not saying we wont in the future its more the excursions for our America cruise in July we are interested in especially New York.Checking periodically so we can get in quickly as think they,ll be popular.Having said that,looking at cabin availability it might not be an issue Look foward to your breaking news 😉…We are away next week but land based Ps Would you not be as well selling your house as your never in it?🤣😉

Hi Daftie, Its difficult to answer that as it depends how much you want to visit the place.Its somewhere we had always wanted to visit and as I said previously we,ve been fortunate to have done it twice but thats when TUI/Marella docked in Venice. So much to see and do and a great experience If we hadn,t done it previously and were faced with a 4hr round trip from trieste for a few hours would we do it?I really dont know No help I know 😆

On our last cruise we were informed our cards would in our cabin,they weren,t.We had to head to the bar/lounge/Live Room to watch the video/film which was on a loop,then we were shown where our muster station on deck,then head to a desk to collect cabin card.After all that was very thirsty so had a drink before heading to cabin 😆

It certainly was Tizzy-Jo and not just the packing.Among other things we also had to organise and book covid tests as that was still a requirement for the cruise at that time First time we had done a booking at such short notice and would do it again

Exactly this Saying that we bagged a bargain last October but only because it was virtually a last minute booking with flights from Scotland which is highly unusual for a late booking We booked it on the Wednesday and flew out on the Friday

Have done this itinerary a number of times,October last year the most recent,its one of our favourites..Having done Venice twice before at the times when you sailed into Venice .With it being Trieste(industrial berthed) for Venice we gave it a miss due to travelling distance from Trieste to Venice We are very much do your own thing type cruisers so didn,t do any organised excursions as the stops are easy done on your own Tip-Make sure your up on deck for Kotor sail in,wonderful Enjoy your cruise

On this cruise in July and no excursions available but the sushi speciality dining is available for booking now

We,ll be on Voyager in October and excursions are available to book now but speciality dining is not available 🤔

Hi P Went down to TA and all sorted.Premium seats we had initially booked and paid for which had mysteriously disappeared have been reinstated Same aircraft,same seating plan just a change of flight time,so not just myself but TA cannot understand why seats were wiped for a change of flight times and no reason giving by TUI surprisingly 😉 Have printed confirmation of our seats and they are now showing as allocated online on our booking Happier Chappy 😆 Its high time TUI invested in their IT/online department

Hi P Could well be but its the only TUI flight out that day and appears to be the same type of aircraft layout If I do a dummy booking to land based holiday to florida on same flights all seats are open for booking including the ones we have already booked but have now mysteriously disappeared from our booking.Paid hundreds of £,s for PE and will not be a happy chappy if our seats are not reinstated Heading down to TA shortly as would be as well speaking to my living room wall if I call them

Thanks for the heads up.Just checked our booking and flights have changed also and no allocated seats either way.Cant seem to re select our seats in PE online so will need to call tomorrow.Why cant TUI just transfer the allocated seats when they change the flight time?Why is that so difficult for them Phone call to TA tomorrow morning to see whats going on

Fair enough reasoning Terry We could probably fly to Palma and be on the ship in the time it would take us to get to Southampton 😉 For us to drive to Southampton would be 8hrs + if you included stops so flying option is much preferrable with Airport only 30 mins away.No inclination to cruise on bigger ships either(for now) Subjective as we said

Subjective but suppose it depends what your looking for from your cruise Cheaper does not mean better but neither does more expensive? Terry,was your cruises on other cruise lines better than your experiences with Marella?

Yes Molly,download when on board.Its good when and if works,it seems to be temperamental.On our last cruise we along with many other passengers had issues downloading it where others had no problem.We had to do without as nobody had the answer to those having difficulties

Just checked my Marella Cruise Control for the booking of excursions and speciality restaurants for our America cruise in July “Get ahead and plan your perfect cruise experience by choosing from:” 0 excursions, available to pre-book before 21st July 2 speciality restaurants, available to pre-book before 17th July Is that Marella forward planning ?😅 we cruise on the 23rd 🤔

As Brummijam says but as they are just printed off version we purchased cruise luggage tags otherwise it debatable if they,d still be on your luggage by the time it reaches Palma On previous cruises we have seen a number of fellow passengers just attaching their luggage labels after retrieving their suitcase and pre coach transfer

Yeah its a Marella first in the USA and strangely could be the last,well for a year or so as the USA not on the schedule for 2024 ESTA is a defo for entering the USA.We are on the Sunshine States and NY cruise in July and completed ours pre xmas,paid for and all approved.Just for the record ESTA is good for 2 years

I find elastic waist trousers are a must further into the cruise 😉

Unless its changed paul and we have done numerous Med cruises from Palma with our last one in July and we,ve always had to collect our luggage at airport and take to transfer coach.After that next time you see your luggage should be outside your cabin if you have pre booked your cabin.However If you haven,t pre booked your cabin it used to be you were given your cabin label at the port and you then had to attach them to your luggage before the were delivered.This may have changed Hope that makes sense
