  1. Each Princess ship has two letters in their URL and the Caribbean’s is CB. The Coral’s is CO, the Crown’s is KP, and the Sea’s is CP. The Caribbean is the longest ship’s name and probably why many use the two letter designation for her but not other ships.

As GUT2407 stated, you have a login and password that can be used to log on with any device, but only one device at a time.

  2. ...I realize that I'm groping a bit here but never having been on the Caribbean Princess (why is it called CB?) I'm trying to get my arms around all of this before committing.

  3. Google Chrome indicates the roll calls I frequent are not fully secure. The question is do they need to be secure? My thinking is no...
Don’t know why a roll call would need to be secure. Anyone can go to the Cruise Critic website and look at information on any roll call. There is no privacy on roll calls and you should be careful what personal information you post on them.

  4. We ate at SHARE on the Ruby last November and every course was very good to excellent. I had the charcuterie, lemon poached prawns, pork ravioli, butter poached lobster tail, strip loin steak, and the outrageously delicious dark chocolate cremeux. With the price now the same as the Crown Grill I give the nod hands down to SHARE, unless you are only a meat and potatoes person.

  5. I'm considering this cruise and have been on one a few years back.

    With regards to formal night.

Officially no but you might find a lot of people will dress up anyway on the middle night.

That was what we found on the other one.

Lots of long dresses and tuxes anyway. We Brits do like to dress up it seems.

If we do book i'll be packing a nice long dress and hubbies tux just in case.

On short cruises is the U.S. there is typically a “dress to impress” night.

  6. They could cancel cruises and maybe replace it with another ship, don't you think?.

The Royal is schedule to visit Le havre, in the official port website, just what i found.

Hey I´m just trying to help, be positive, take part in the forum and give what i have found, why being so rude with your answer?.

Every time i try to participate on this forum i really regret it.

I wasn’t trying to be rude. My comment was I didn’t know why there was a conflict between the Princess website and the Le Havre port schedule.

I’m not certain how it works, but having the Golden Princess show on the Sydney cruise port schedule after May of 2020 might be a way to hold those dates for P&O after the transfer.

  7. I don´t think the Royal would be in Alaska for the 2020 season, she is schedule to visit Le havre on June 26, 2020 and July 2, 2020.

Maybe the Majestic, following the steps of NCL Joy?, and coming to Alaska

Also the Golden is marked to visit Sydney, Australia until at least April 2021, so maybe they won't transfer it to P&O Australia.

The Princess website shows the Royal ending a cruise in Vancouver on May 16, 2020. Don’t know why the conflict?

  8. Go to the Princess website and search for coastal cruises in April/May 2020. You should see all the ships that are moving up the Pacific coast and that will tell you which ships are going to be in Alaska for the summer.
And that shows Grand, Coral, Island, Emerald, Ruby, and Royal. With the Grand having a repositioning cruise to Vancouver perhaps the 10 day RT’s from San Francisco are gone.

  9. I thought a deluxe balcony referred to the Caribe deck balconies' date=' which are significantly larger than the standard balcony. I'm talking about the size of the balcony, not the size of the cabin.[/quote']Some of the Caribe deck balcony cabins mid forward, mid, and mid aft are Premium balconies (Cat B1 or B2) but there are also standard balconies on Caribe deck forward and aft (Cat BD and BE). Premium is determined by location but has nothing to do with cabin or balcony size. The Caribe deck balcony cabins on the Grand and Coral class ships are NOT deluxe balcony cabins.

  10. Hi Gang, We are cruising Diamond princess April !9th 2019, I don't see a International Cafe on-board. I enjoy my morning brew, I thought every ship had one. But still we are still going.
You can definitely get fresh brewed and specialty coffees at the Lobby Bar on Plaza deck 5 and probably at Crooners on Promenade deck 7.

  11. I was on the Regal in the beginning of the year. I purchased the Enclave. The loungers we're supposed to be heated. I was quite disappointed with the temperature of the water and the lack of heat from the loungers.
It has certainly changed from her inaugural cruises in 2014. At that time the loungers and waterbeds were heated and the hydrotherapy water temp was nice and warm. It was a wonderful place to relax after a full day of touring in Mediterranean posts. I wouldn’t pay the $20+/day full cruise price for what you described.

  12. ...Other options are the Lobby Bar on Plaza deck 5 on the Diamond, La Patisserie on Plaza deck 5 on the Island, the Club Bar on deck 5 and Panorama Buffet Bar on deck 9 on Pacific, and probably Explorers Bar on Plaza deck 5 on the Sea.
I can’t speak for the Sea but on the other ships in the morning there are the half sized pastries like those served in Sabatini’s at the full suite breakfast and later in the day the sandwiches, cookies and pastries served for afternoon tea.

  13. The Diamond, Island, Pacific, and Sea Princess do not have an International Cafe.

The Sea has the Amuleto Italian Cafe on Lido deck 14 where you can get specialty coffees.

Other options are the Lobby Bar on Plaza deck 5 on the Diamond, La Patisserie on Plaza deck 5 on the Island, the Club Bar on deck 5 and Panorama Buffet Bar on deck 9 on Pacific, and probably Explorers Bar on Plaza deck 5 on the Sea.

  14. ...For the soda package, it says it includes juice and hot chocolate. Are those things no longer free on the lido deck or are they referring to fancier juice and hot chocolate than what comes in the machines/packets?

The juice question has been answered. There used to be packets of powdered hot chocolate next to the tea bags in the Horizon Court but they disappeared somewhere around 6-8 years ago or more. I haven’t tried ordering hot chocolate for breakfast in the HC since then. Hot chocolate is on the breakfast menu in the dining room.
