  1. We will be a group of 12 taking a private 7-8 hour tour. We are in port from 7am-5pm. What are the must sees? We want to do a quick stop at an outside market, snorkel at sapphire and go to mountain top. We really want to make this an island to remember for our sons, their wives, etc. Any ideas?

  2. We are going to San Juan, Grand Turk, St Thomas, St Maarten in a few weeks. We have been married 27 years and would like to upgrade my wedding ring. Trying to decide to just buy one at home or try looking on one of the islands? I have bought small jewelry purchases on the islands but haven't even looked at a big purchase like this.

SOS...Recommendations? How do you know you can trust them?

  3. it is very possible. But i would recommend the rain forest, and old san juan over the factory.

Thanks. How long does the rain forest take. Is it possible to do the forts and rain forest? How much is taxi for rain forest or tour and can you just get one at pier?

  4. Email From the Casino after we asked about comps for our next one:

1,500 points for free drinks on the same cruise you accumulate the points.

We comp off of points. To accumulate one point on regular slots you need $2.50 of coin-in, on video poker it is $5.00 of coin-in to received 1 points. We require a minimum of 2,500 points to be eligible for any cash comps.

We spend a lot of money in the casino - I usually get the free drink card towards the end of the cruise but this last cruise both my hubby and I kept track on exactly how much we spent (we play both tables and slots). We hardly get anything as a comp on our next cruise (a basket in our room) no cash comp, and definitely not a free cruise. We take 2-4 cruises a year and from now on won't be spending so much time in the casino there. We can have just as much fun else where and save a lot of money.

    Hope this helps.

  5. We bought the e-certificates for our last cruise and to pay off our next one. They work great on board. We just went to the kiosk machine and applied them to our account. We used our account for drinks, spa, casino, gratuities and no problems at all. Always love saving 10%! :)

  6. We will have 10+ adults and would like to negotiate a private tour for the day at the pier. We would like to stop at a couple of beaches (sapphire for sure), sightsee the island, stop at a couple markets, etc. Could we do this at the pier for a group our size and how much do you think it would be per person?

  7. You are going to need at least 2 taxis to Red Hook. Ferry is $7/person/each way. Taxi to Trunk Bay (probably about $6/each). The fee for Trunk Bay is $4/person. Cinnamon Bay is free, taxi to is $7/each. Depending on ships in port, TB could be crowded. Why not consider Cinnamon?

Thanks, how much is the taxi to Red Hook? Trying to let everyone in our group know total price for taxes, ferry's and beach admission so we can decide if we are going to do this. It sounds beautiful! :)

  8. You could look into renting a taxi large enough for all of you. Regarding seeing colorful fish. What other islands are you going to? If one is St. Thomas then save your snorkeling for there or St. John's would be my advice.

Yes, we are going to St Thomas. Which beach would you recommend for good snorkeling? Still trying to decide and figure out how much it will cost out group to go to St John there.
