We are on a b2b. On turnaround day, when can I get into thre self serve laundry room? Thanks.

On my B2B, I used the laundry the morning before the turn around, but the laundry rooms were not locked , so you can get in anytime. There is a sign that says 7am, but I noticed the machines were running before then, and people were doing their laundry. I did have to check several floors before I found empty machines.

  2. Does anyone know if the CB is now offering the unlimited internet? The cruise personalizer shows it on the November 11 sailing but it doesn’t show up as a purchase even though the payment went through.

It’s on my ten day cruise on Caribbean Princess in September. Called MedallionNet.

  3. I also wanted to double check prices and possible better flight schedules but was concerned I may accidentally cancel our existing flights. I was able to find the available flights by not logging in and then selecting "Plan a Cruise", then "Cruise Details" and then "Flight Quotes" on the black bar. This allows you to put in your flight options and get the quotes. This way there is no chance that you will accidentally cancel your existing flights.

Thank you!!! I was also afraid I'd accidentally cancel my flight! I did what you suggested, and was able to see my flight, and that it had gone up double now. A great tip!

  4. This happened to my friend, I was getting her emails, to my address. I called Royal Caribbean and they checked my personal profile, and had her name with my email address, because we once had linked our reservations,

They changed the contact info to my name, my email, and went to her profile and changed her email to hers. even before the new website changes, we couldn’t change it on our end, of course, now, we can’t change much on our profile ,

  5. You are going to find that the higher deposits are being required by many cruiselines.

The cruiselines are reacting to the cruise roulette that some cruisers are playing. A cruiser will book several cruises that leave around the same time. This means those cabins are being taken out of inventory.

As final payment approaches, the cruiser will then pick the cruise that offers the best deal and cancel the others.

As a result, the cruiseline will now have empty cabins that need to be sold.

To discourage the game playing, the deposits are now higher.

A lower deposit may be offered, but it will be non-refundable if the cruise is cancelled at any time after the booking is made.

That is exactly what the RCCL cruise planner told me when I asked why the deposits were so high, and non refundable. He said they did that to discourage multiple bookings for the same week, as it was becoming a huge problem.

  6. The tour leaves for the airport at 2pm when I did the tour, and it only left time for one tour bus, If you decided to do all three or four tours, you can retrieve you luggage from the storage trailer, and stay as long as you want, but you would have to find another place to store you luggage. Since the bus depot has the tour ticketing also, I suspect you can ask them to store your luggage for you, and take a taxi to the airport, heres the link so you can ask them. https://www.bigbustours.com/en/miami/miami-routes-and-tour-maps/

  7. Beckyboo, Ive done the HOHO tour, It was very well organized, all the luggage is stowed in a trailer when you arrive off the bus, and we had a choice of three tour busses, I chose the Art Deco tour, there was not enough time to hop off, but the closed loop was very informative and fun. There is a shopping mall nearby where you can use restrooms, and get some lunch. Very reasonable price

  8. Going on Oasis and hope we get a cold fridge. Don't understand why they wouldn't have working fridge except cutting costs which I am finding RCL likes to do. I wonder if I could find out? My mom will need a working fridge also.

My last cruise, fridge was not cold. Guest services stated all the cabin fridges have now become coolers, not refrigerators, this was on the independence of the seas,

  9. We always do b2b's or longer cruises. 7 days just doesn't seem long enough, especially considering that Day 1 goes by so quickly with embarkation, unpacking, etc. And if you board after noon it really seems short. A 7 day cruise really only offers 6 full days. For us doing b2b's is not and has never been about itineraries. Having visited every island in the Caribbean my feeling is "another island, same stuff". For us its all about enjoying the ship and all the relaxing, outstanding things offered on board. As far as expectations for a b2b sailing over something shorter, we have none. Have never received a price break or any special perks other than what we get for booking suites and our C&A level. And we always make sure we have the same cabin for both cruises, as opposed to changing cabins on turn around day. And, after all the cruises we have taken we still enjoy staying on the ship on turn around day while others are leaving! Love long cruises!

Agree, I also, do B2B cruises now, and usually combine a 7 day carribean with a transatlantic, enjoying the longer cruise, having the same room, and staying on the ship, there were 60 of us staying aboard on the last cruise. We were given champagne, and offered a lunch in one of the restaurants,

  10. Same rudeness extended to us on our independence of the seas cruise in April by the next cruise staff, we had an appointment, showed up, they said the "book" was missing, therefore no appointment, plenty of staff, a few drop in cruisers showed up, and were taken before us. We sat until someone would take us, about 10 minutes, but she was condescending about our inquiries re: missing appointment book, . And said" I wish I could wave a manic wand and make thing alright"

  11. I can't access either without incognito, I tried to tell RCCL many times when I called, they didn't respond other than to say it's working fine for them. It's frustrating to try to book a cruise without accessing the site. Interesting someone said it's to prevent price checking, but what does that mean?

  12. I booked a cruise today and paid the deposit. I got a confirmation number and this can be retried via the My Cruises page. However, it states that it is held until 29th July. The balance shows that I have paid the deposit. I have yet to receive a confirmation email. Do I need to be worried?

I rechecked availability and it looks like I managed to get the last of the availability in that category (Oceanview Gurantee Y) as this is now no longer showing.

My cruise still says held after a month. When I called, the rep said it shows held because it was a half price deposit, it was $50, and they said it needed to be at least $100. My other cruises were 1/2 price deposit and show purchased. I couldn't book their airfare because of that.

  13. as posted by Zina I spoke with Mom's cardiologist several hours ago. He said that the salt content of the food is a much greater concern than the, and these are her words,"alleged sodium- filled ship's water". Other factors such as heat, excessive alcohol, saltier air ( yup- you are breathing it and it gets in to your system) etc contribute to the swelling seen in cruise passengers. Also said that the ship water is perfectly safe for anyone . He did recommend that the immunosuppressed seek other forms of vacationing and that women of child bearing age avoid the Caribbean if they plan to become pregnant in the next 24 months. Zina.

he is at Johns-Hopkins, trust him implicitly.

Excellent post. so true. as evidenced by my swollen feet when cruising!
