  1. Thanks for the info on the Casablanca shuttle.
  2. frantic36, did Seabourn provide a shuttle into town in Casablanca? I've heard that a lot of taxis can not enter the port area.
  3. Thanks for the comments. Hopefully others contribute to the thread too with comments on Italian and Aztec meals.
  4. We just booked a Princess Grill suite and with the current promotion, we have one free night at the King's Court. I know that it has various theme nights (La Pizza, Aztec, Bamboo, Coriander) but haven't found many reviews of each night (none for Aztec and La Pizza). Are these nights worth exchanging them for the Princess Group restaurant? Any reviews of the various theme nights are appreciated. Thanks.
  5. The $20/day difference (per person) between the Plus and Premier categories does give you this Princess Prizes (which I agree isn't worth that much). Premier however also gives you and upgrade to the $20 glass wines, 2 Specialty dinners a piece, and increases your wi-fi device limit. Small value added items are: reserves seats for production shows, free photos, and a medallion accessory. I wouldn't mind trying the better wines, so might get the Premier on the next cruise.
  6. It’s official. No formal nights on Venture starting Jan 4 cruises.
  7. I just heard that Seabourn will come out with an announcement next week that formal clothes will not be required on their Expedition Cruises. We may have to repack again to our original luggage plans, but I still hope this is true.
  8. Our cruise documents did not have the 2 formal nights notification, but I contacted the travel agent (who also will be on the cruise as part of a small group) and she confirmed "Sport Coat and above" even on the Antarctic trip. I will stuff in a coat in the luggage. To crunchii, I'm sure one nice dress will be fine.
  9. Yes, I meant an expedition cruise (Antarctica). Normally I don't mind dressing for formal nights, but this cruise requires so much cold weather clothes (base layers, mid layers, gloves, thick socks, etc.) that trying to pack a sport coat or better is problematic. Hoping to get by with just a pair of slacks, a dress shirt and sweater (maybe a tie) at most at dinner.
  10. We are packing for our Jan 4 cruise to the Antarctic on the Venture. I assume that the "tux, coats" rule for Seabourn does not apply on an exhibition cruise, true? If there are formal nights I haven't been able to find it documented. I haven't found anything official that exhibition ships are more casual either. Thanks in advance for any info.
  11. We are on the 12 day cruise (plus night in BA) starting Jan 3 and have not been informed we need a Covid test.
  12. For suite guests were any of the restaurants open for embarkation lunch?
  13. Oops, another question. We went to order our free parkas and are on the edge of a size. The website has you measuring your chest. When we put on the jacket, we will probably have a base layer, and a mid-layer. Does the jacket account for this? How roomy was the parka?
  14. One other quick question. Someone above listed the things we have to bring and it included hats. The Seabourn Expedition Packing list says that a Beanie is included with the parka. Did you guys get one. How is it. Do you recommend any other head or neck apparel for warmth?
  15. Marazul, In speed reading through this thread, I did see a wine list with prices. So can I assume that wine/drinks are free but there is premium stuff that you have to pay for? We're usually happy with the included drinks on ships, so I assume will have to find something in the ship store. It would be great to know if we can get our various cold layers there and not fly them in.
  16. I apologize if this has been covered, but I'm making a decision soon concerning an upcoming Antarctic Venture cruise and could use some quick information. We have $500 onboard credit, however this is an all inclusive cruise. We will not be doing a submarine or Kayak which are the only exc/ursions that cost. What sort of clothing does the Ventura have in their shop. Can we get extra wool socks, mid level freeze or other items required for cold weather at a fair price? Any other suggestions for use of the credit?
  17. We have $500 credit on an Antarctic cruise that is (as I understand it) all inclusive. We aren't interested in doing the submarine. How do people use this credit on an all includes cruise? I was hoping I could charge my pre-cruise clothes to it (a Seabourn link), but not optimistic on that. Looking forward to thoughts.
  18. Another question for anyone who has done this tour. How long are you at Medano? The tour includes a meal at the "Club". Is there time to get a massage while you're there?
