It had a parachute made from a plastic bag if i recall correctly. I seem to recall his egg survived, but for some reason they thought it had cracked but it hadnt. I dont remember the details from that long ago, but there was some controversy at the egg drop that day.

My husband just asked if i had anymore responses to my post and i realized i hadn't checked all week! Glad to see my post brought back some fond memories for a lot of you and nice to hear the egg drop was held recently on Sky Princess. We are taking our daughter on her long awaited, covid postponed first cruise and we think she will love it. My husband has been seeking redemption for his loss in the competition more than a decade ago! 🤣

Does princess still do the egg drop competition? We will be on sky princess

Just used it a few weeks ago for a couple nights at a hotel and I didn’t notice any noise coming from it. Even when he was full on asleep.
