  1. I will add this.  I am from Tampa (on the west coast) and the journey after you pick up your car will most likely take you to interstate 4.  It will take you through the Orlando area.  Traffic is very heavy there and you may want to leave very early or find a different route.  All it takes is an accident and you can be sitting for hours.  .

  2. I just downloaded my e-docs.  The last item on the list of prohibited items was fans.  It included eclectic, usb and battery operated.  There is a good chance of these being confiscated by security of inspection.  My husband wanted to bring one.

I had a decent Monte Cristo in the MDR for lunch on Breakaway.    I think they have two different MDR lunch menus and this was on the 2nd menu on first sea day.

I can answer your question about the Observation Lounge on the Joy.  It does not have that large bar in the middle.  It is small and you can only order from it.  There are not any chairs around it.  We were on the Joy last April and the year before on the Encore.  Love the Encore Observation Lounge better, but both were fun.

Since NCL doesn't charge for bringing your own wine on board (and no corkage fee if you have UBP), we'll bring a bottle of Veuve Clicquot from the store that cost us $50 and we're happy (hiccup!) 🥴campers.

We do the same.  We took the bottle to LeBistro and they put it on ice and served it to us.  Will be doing the same in April.  The bottle I bought from Publix had a bright yellow insulated wine carrier.

Well somehow it doesn't surprise me that NCL gave me incorrect information.  She definitely told me room service fee would be waived twice.  But since I haven't seen or heard about that from anyone, I will not hold my breath on that.

I was told the same thing and also read it in the description when I booked our cabin last May 2022.  I will be emailing the VP of customer service today and ask them.  I usually get the correct answers from them.  She does not directly answer me, but her staff is very good at it.  If I hear anything I will l

The drink package also now includes 6 liters of water cartons delivered to your room on embarkation day.

Only if you booked your cruise between 09/15/22 and 12/15/22.  I have an email from Katty Bird's office yesterday.  I was confused and tried to research.  Finally, I asked the vp of guest services.  I know the announcement was very confusing.

Thanks.   As of now, it is not there for me for our March sailing. But it is for my nephew for the same sailing which confuses me.

Hi again.  Did your nephew book at the same time as you?  I seems that the announcement about the water came at the same time they raised the price of the gratituties on the drink package.

  8. The SP suites are just a 2 bedroom inside Club Suite.  They have almost the same perks as a Club Balcony Suite.  You will receive the same stuff as you will with your latitude rewards.  Probably a very nice cabin for a family.  2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  But it does not have Haven access and it does not have a butler and does not have a special restaurant for breakfast or lunch.

On Getaway and was told that the latitude vouchers now work as a dining package(for 2)

Same rules as the dining package no $35 limit and can be used in any restaurant.

It was not publisised got the info from one of the restaurant hosts, said we could use voucher or one of our dinners.

    Said it started last cruise.

Not sure if fleetwide worth asking.

Are you saying that they told you that you could use them in any speciality restaurant on the Getaway? That would be awesome.

Yes, this was the best advise we both received.  Kathy Byrd and her staff were very helpful and finally gave us our answers.  Not the ones we were hoping for, but nevertheless, answers.

I remember your cruise is coming up soon, have an wonderful sailing!

Yep. Tomorrow.  We are sure ready.  We only live about 30 minutes to the port.  Its been great working with you.  On to the Haven

And I'm just trying to find out... based on the recent situation described by those who booked genuine "non-Haven" suites (NOT the renamed mini-suites/club suites) on the Joy... whether the "breakfast/lunch in a specialty dining venue" has been removed as non-Haven suite perk fleet wide... or just on the Joy.

Has anyone who sailed in recent weeks on ships other than the Joy in a "real" non-Haven suite (like a 2 bedroom or penthouse suite) let us know what they experienced?

Please contact the pre-concierge office via email and ask them.  I am sure they have answered numerous times.  It was verified by Katy Byrd office (I think that is her name).  They were very speedy with us.

what goodies were you offered originally, and what category cabin did you book. i dont like to post an opinion unless i'm absolutely sure of my answer (although more than a few times i've been wrong... my bad) but i checked on the joy (although ive never had the pleasure of sailing on her, and in the descriptions of both "suites" and haven suites, it does not mention either butler service or concierge.

if this is truly the case, i wouldnt ever consider booking on the joy,as having a 24 on call butler is one of the reasons i try and book a haven, or a suite if there is no haven complex.  most of the ncl ships i have looked at, specifically include butler/concierge service in the cabin description.

consequently, if i thought i was paying for something i wasnt going to get, i would think twice about booking.  i know i'd be massively p**sed if i booked a suite and didnt get the butler or the opportunity to eat breakfast and/or lunch in the designated restaurants .

if i'm looking to book a club mini suite, my expectations are of course lowered. i just expect a nice, clean cabin with a balcony that is slightly larger than a regular balcony cabin.

i dont mean to sound like a diva or some jerk with a overblown sense of entitlement, i just take a lot of time and do some research as to what exactly i'm getting

As did vacation44 and I did.  Under the description on the booking site it listed everything a haven suite gets except haven access.  It listed everything a "suite" on the smaller ships get.  It was there when I booked it in July for a January sailing and it was still there until December.  Multiple phone calls I made to agents verified it.  When I finally called the pre-concierge to request items I was told the website was wrong and they thanked me for notifying them of their error.  For that they gave me a mattress pad for my sister.  I think you keep getting these suites mixed up with club balcony suites.  They are not that category.  They are listed as SC and SP

  13. You get 2 "free" deliveries of room service from the regular room service menu.  Almost the same amenities as a club balcony.  The concierge is not the same as the haven one but may help with reservations.  I decided it was just a deluxe club balcony.  We paid a lot for the cabin (2 bedroom inside).  The price kept getting lower, we upgraded to a HH for just $850.00 total.  It was almost the same price as the starting bid.  I am still angry about a lot of this.  It took a lot of talk, emails and a long letter to corporate to get a straight answer.  We did receive a $200.00 OBC after emailing the VP of guest services.  I think the email address is listed above.

  14. No.  They have the same (almost) as a club balcony suite.  No butler, no special restaurant for breakfast and lunch, etc.  They have upgraded bedding, priority embark/debark.  The concierge is not the same as the Haven.  They help you with dinner and show seating, maybe.  They are bigger than club balcony.  I would call them deluxe club balcony suites.  All of the other perks for suites on the smaller suites were not included after the they went back to service in November.

As you probably know, this big change, it is covered in the T&A's for all cruises. They do not need to give us anything, the fact that they did, is a bonus.

But think about it.  What if you booked with Free at Sea and then they came back after you booked and said "I'm sorry, we changed all that 2 months ago after your booked and now it is no longer".  Would you be happy with a $200.00 OBC.  I would agree with you, however, they should have checked their website before the restart. It was not hard to find.  It was listed under DETAIL and LAYOUT on the booking site.  It is alright though.  We upgraded to a HH for less than the lowest upgrade bid.

    "troubles"?

Not sure what you are asking.  If it was "trouble" getting an answer, then heck yeah.  It took 2 months to get it.  No one at corporate knew what the website said.  Pre-concierge said no one noticed it until I emailed a screen shot to them.  Everything it listed before they changed it was the same as suites in the smaller ships, except you did not get haven access.  It even listed breakfast/lunch in a speciality restaurant. It was a mission, and I did not give up. They said they gave me a small amount of OBC for pointing it out to them.  I think it was just to get rid of me.
