Have never sailed Edge class, was wondering if the AC in public areas was strong? I love that celebrity public venues aren’t ice boxes , never needed a sweater for dinner on any other celebrity ship and I normally freeze when I go out for dinner in Florida ! Ladies , can you wear a dress quite comfortably for dinner on Beyond ?

Thank you for the reply!

I’ve never sailed on any Edge Class ship and glancing at deck plans it appears they have no helipad (at least not the conventional ones I’m used to on their other ships) I’m curious how they would handle medical evacuations on edge class..do they coordinate a sea based evacuation or divert the ship to land?

It's a good starting point but there can be significant savings if one buys things mid-cruise. Some might be able to hold off on buying the internet and/or drink package until day 3 or day 4, same with internet and drink package upgrades, can add them mid-sailing and only pay the prorated amount.
Are you able to buy a package mid cruise? I understood it has to be purchased in advance or on day 1

Is it possible to purchase this package at any point during the cruise? I understand selections vary cruise to cruise so I would prefer to make this purchase after speaking with a sommelier or bartender .. also I’m not very knowledgeable re labels, I find the sommelier seems to offer good suggestions after a quick chat..

I just booked a cruise only fare on Summit for July Bermuda sailing

I phoned celebrity and they told me that what I actually purchased was a “net rate”..thru my airline's vacation website..I sail on July 31
I will probably use the retreat lounge and just purchase a wine package for dinners..I only drink water during the day

Good advice Jelayne, I was leaning towards what you adivsed, thanks for your input

Thanks Jelayne for your response.
Yes it’s too late to change my booking, in fact the site took the whole payment amount despite the appearance of a 100$ deposit. The trip is over 4 months away. I will never book with them again.
I’m so excited to be able to cruise again and just trying to find the most reasonable way of paying for these perks!

We are Elite members but haven't sailed since the Pandemic. I recently completed an online booking for a sky suite on Summit with a third party booking engine. I never do this as I prefer to speak to a helpful agent. The rate was very good but I've just learned it's a deeply discounted rate with no perks (no drink package, wifi or OBC). I had wrongly assumed that a Suite booking automatically came with those perks
To cruisers who've purchased wifi and drinks packages seperately , could you please advise if I should do this before the cruise or once on board? I understand we'll have access to the bar in the Retreat but we also like to enjoy a few drinks with our meals. Thank you in advance to all replies.

Thanks for your reply! you disembarked today? Was Milo helpful? I always rely on the Sommelier to help me chose something suitable, I always find them super helpful and they seem to know exactly what to serve me by Day 2!

Phxazz, hope you're enjoying your cruise! I board on Wednesday, also Sky Suite. can you please tell me who the M'D and Sommelier are in Luminae? Also do you know who the Michael's Club concierge is? Any info much appreciated!

I was on a charter saw ball caps and shorts and one fellow took off his shoes during dinner, last March on summit .
I've never seen anyone with a baseball cap. My husband leaves his in the cabin before we head to Luminae for lunch. For dinner he wears long pants and a long sleeve shirt, will often roll up the sleeves. I'm sorry you had to see someone's feet at dinner, shoes are mandatory, everyone knows this.

Summit 9/2/18 Thanks for the updated Senior Officers Chart. Do you know if these will change when the Summit starts her Caribbean cruises after the repo in October? Also, who is the current Maitre'd in Luminae? Any idea who will replace this person? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and enjoy.
On my August 12 sailing the M'd in Luminae was Yasin and the sommelier was Fabiean

They are a bath/shower combination. I haven't measured, but the tub is noticeably deeper than a "standard" landbased bathtub. At first, when I read the comments on CC of people complaining about getting in/out, I thought they were overreacting, then one morning I gave a bit more thought to the difference in entering/exiting and realized that any mobility challenge would likely be a bit exacerbated...and in a wet marble room on the ocean, one can easily imagine that being pretty unpleasant.
Ours too was a tub/shower combo. We are nimble and relatively young but I agree with your comments above.

How were the shows?
What was the best part of having a suite?

the shows were ok, the lead female singer was great though..
The main reason we book a suite is for Luminae

our butler offered us in- room canapes delivered late afternoon. We only took them once and found them disappointing. They seem to divert guests to Michael's Club for afternoon tea (sandwhiches) but we never went. We were on Deck 6 mid aft starboard.

It's been almost two years since we were on the Summit in a Sky Suite. Have the staterooms been upgraded any? Ours was starting to look run down when we were onboard. We were midship, near the elevators. The floor in our stateroom felt like it had a crack in it. Carpet was buckling. Wondering if it was just a bad location. Other than the SS, we had a great time and the ship seemed in good order.
apparently Summit will go to dry dock this feb for a complete makeover. Our Sky Suite and the ship were clean but showing signs of age. We look forward to seeing the refurb next summer

Do you happen to have the current roster of Senior Officers? Captain, Engineer, Hotel Direction, etc? Thanks!
The ship's captain was Harris (an abbreviation of a longer Greek name) . I didn't take note of the other senior staff

yes Anastasia was in Micheal's Club

Luminae was great, we love it there! Yasin was the Maitre d' and Fabien was the Sommelier. The only specialty we went ate at was Sushi on 5 and for that we just had appetizers before our dinner at Luminae

9:30 actually sounds a little late? What time were you on the sidewalk outside (not just off the ship)? I guess 9:40 since you said the whole thing took 10 minutes?
Last year we ordered our car service for 9:30 at Cape Liberty, we were out before 9 and had to wait for them, and we were not in a suite that trip.
Just to clairfy..we chose to be late off the ship this year, we had a late afternoon flight so waited in Michael's Club and left there at 9:30 and in our uber lift at 9:40

I understand Luminae is closed for lunch on port days..does this also apply to Coco Cay ?
