Thanks for your relies. Think I will keep my bags and disembark with them myself.

Husband and I just completed an Equinox sail last week, Barcelona to Istanbul. Husband only drinks beer, no wine so we purchased the premium package in advance. he tried 54 different types of beer ( yep you read it!) He was thrilled with the selection ( mostly obtained from the Gastrobar). Our wine sommelier took care of his beer needs at dinner time.

Do passengers need to pass thru customs/immigration when they disembark from a Rome to Rome 9 day cruise (visiting only french and italian ports on itinerary). I'd like to know how much time I should expect the disembarkation process to be.
Thanks!

On Equinox now. We understand that next cruise from BRcelona on Sept 7th will leave 24 hours later . Heard there are 300+ Noro cases onboard. Future cruise credits being handed out to affected individuals.
I am so sorry to hear this. I'm sure those poor people who are ill will be glad to disembark.
Could you kindly update, I am due to board on Monday and am very uneasy.

Has anyone received an update from Suite Susie?

Could anyone currently on the Equnox kindly post an update on the virus situation?
Wishing you all smooth and safe sailings

I think someone posted that they were open at noon on sea days and 4pm on port days.
Thank you Christine:)

can anyone tell me their operating hours? Do you think they will be open for embarkation day (Barcelona) lunch?
Thanks

The beer fridge on Equinox I s in Gastrobar. Craft beers sold there. Where cellar masters used to be on EQ.
Thanks for that update :):)

Thanks for posting from your cruise.
Can you tell me if there is a surcharge for eating at Gastropub?
Happy Sailing!

Fear not! Equinox has the Gastropub which has a better and broader selection of beer than the other venues. It replaced Cellar Masters. An excellent collection of Belgian and UK offerings plus many other craft beers.
sounds awesome, and I am upgrading to premium alcohol package so DH can try every one of those beers? Is there a surcharge for food @ Gastropub?

thanks..which of those venues has a beer fridge? When we sailed on Reflection there was a bar with a huge fridge of beers that made his day.. (or year)! Anyone was allowed to access that bar, just a bit confused about the Equinox

I have booked a Sky Suite Cabin. Will this allow us to access Michael's Club? Hubby is a big beer fan, isn't this the venue for that?
Cheers!!

Appreciate any info regarding VOS
I am planning our 25th anniversary trip and was wondering if anyone can offer advice..
1. Would like to book owners suite, have rooms been refurbished?
2. Would we have access to any lounges with that room category?
3. Can we bring Champagne on board?
any other advantages of booking this suite? Cannot find any updated photos of it!
Kindest regards :)

For what it is worth, just back from the 5/11-5/18 Alaska trip on the Zuiderdam. We had a Neptune Suite (we have one prior HAL cruise so are one star) and my parents and sister (no prior HAL cruises so zero stars) had verandah rooms. We went to the MDR around 12:45 on embarkation day, asked politely if we could have lunch as a group, and were readily escorted to a table for lunch without any issue or comment as to star level or room type. The MDR was basically empty and lunch was a peaceful experience.
I will be staying in Neptune Suite (SC), I've never sailed HAL before. Am I permitted to dine in the MDR at lunch on embarkation day or is it reserved for repeat guests? I don't eat a big lunch , so perhaps the lounge would also have something to eat?
thanks

7 day Rome-Montecarlo

Thanks LaPaloma for the advice.
I am excited and nervous at once. Legend looks fantastic, I just hope it will live up to our expectations. We have resisted cruising for years in favour of land based travels. I think we have to adjust our expectations and understand that it will be a different experience. My MAIN worry is that when I travel I like to IMMERSE myself into the local culture (OK, somewhat immerse, nice hotels, certain buffers for sure), but generally speaking when I visit a country I like to soak it up and I'm afraid that with a cruise it won't be that way. Let's face it, everyone will be speaking english at dinner, I kind of like to hear families and couples speaking the local dialect. but the tradeoff is to be on the water, I've never done that before, so that will be very special. Pluses and minuses right?

on the subjecty of communications..I will be taking my first cruise on Seabourn next year. How does one stay in touch with back home when on a boat? We're sailing on the Legend.
thanks
Sky Suite Dining Perks
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
We're on a 9 day Silhouette Med cruise and booked in a Sky Suite . I made the reservation in Sept 2015 and paid the deposit. We loved Luminae on our last cruise but also enjoyed the specialty dining option. I understand the Specialty dining perks have been dropped for Sky Suites but I wasnt aware of this change when I booked:( Do you think they will extend this option to us?
Also, do we now have access to Michael's Club?
Many thanks!
