We had room 6499 this past May and LOVED it! Our favorite room so far! We did not feel any movement, no noise issues at all, loved the large balcony with the extra lounger, awesome view to wake up to every morning with the bed facing the water, and really like the chair & ottoman since we never use the couch when just the two of us cruise.

The popcorn tastes like a paper bag.

We have had both rooms on the Dream and both were great! Really depends on how much you will use the Spa during your cruise and the price difference in just adding it to a cove balcony room.

As much as I would have liked the gratuities to be included in the UBP promo, it's still a pretty good deal.

 

I look at it this way—if I'm an event where there's an open bar, I'm going to still tip the bartender a buck or two when I get a drink. It's the same deal, just the open bar lasts for a week. :D

Just booked our first NCL for fall next year on the Escape and looking forward to trying it! As long as we are on vacation, it is a good time!

I just booked our first NCL today for the Escape! Excited to try something new and the UBP was for sure an extra perk;) Even with paying the gratuities, still a GREAT deal!

Is there any cost for the "messaging onboard" only package?

Yes, that is through the Hub App itself and is $5.00 for the entire cruise length. Once onboard you will be able to purchase it directly through the app.

We have left much more than that in the safe and not only felt safe, but never had had a problem.

We only use cash (& gift cards) for our cruises and just like above, always felt safe with no problems.

When you go into your cruise manager on the Carnival site it should be on that page of your cruise where it has links for Shore, Excursions, Fun Shops, ect. on the bottom it now says Premium Dining Reservations has links to both of them to make your reservations.

Has anyone been able to receive emails or anything else besides social apps at slower speed or was the rest of it blocked?

Everything else is blocked if you just purchase the social package. Even if you try to press a link from Facebook it will pop up and ask you if you want to upgrade your package to view.

We asked our main server on the last cruise the most he has ever served anyone and he said 14!! I stick to my 2 each cruise;)

All of our children just love to cruise on Carnival. They prefer the larger ships, as there is more for them to do;)

Had it on the Breeze this past May and it was very good, great prices also;)

We are not picky eaters but as others explained. we also felt it was hit or miss. We just picked the nights (1-2 night) that nothing really looked that great and went to the Steakhouse or Italian Restaurants;)

We have stayed in one on the Dream and yes they do have a sofa;)

Doesn't look like it's a Cloud 9 spa balcony cabin.

Make sure you check with who you booked with as I believe it is just a regular balcony, not the Spa balcony. We stayed in #11235 on the Dream in a Spa balcony and really enjoyed it! Great location and enjoyed all the amenities of the spa.

We did not actually do it on the ship, but had it set up for when we arrived in port at San Juan. Such a great experience and soo beautiful. Would do it again in a second!

Cover-up would be no problem, I also have a few that look like a sundress! I am always amazed at what I see people wearing (or lack of) around a port;)
