Oh yeah! When we cruise with just our younger three children, we always get a table for just 5 of us on ATD.
-
We had a spa room on the Dream and the thalassotherapy pool was our favorite!
-
Last time we had to go to the Spa on the Dream, to get ours. The slippers and other things were in the room though.
-
Have not been on the Destiny or out of New Orleans, but have been on the Dream multiple times;) Awesome ship, love the layout, shows, band, food, ect.. Been in cove balcony, regular balcony, and spa balcony and enjoyed all of them! Never had a complaint.

Age does not exist on vacation except for minors. Outside of vacation, you are only as old as the restrictions you place on yourself.
Love this and totally agree!!

Thanks.....saving for May;)
-
We had it this past September for the Dream in a Spa Balcony and it was ready ASAP we arrived. Luggage was not there quite yet though. So nice to drop off all our stuff;)
-
They do, though I would for sure bring your own;)
-
We have had two upsell calls since we began cruising.
-
Can't wait to see photos!!!
-
You were lucky;) I tried a couple of times and both times directed to the table.

Love it! Thanks for sharing!

Ours was the Freedom and can't wait to go back on her again in September;)

Too funny!!!

My kids love the little candy stores on the ships. The have lots of different candy bins that are all sold at the same price per pound and they also offer some larger candy novelties at a set price tag as well. My kids just mix and match a little candy at a time for a couple of dollars;)
How does it work ? I always bring cash for my sign and sail put id rather not travel with so much as I also pay for excursions ect with cash..this sounds great to me
This is one of the top reasons we do it as we had always done a cash account before, plus bring cash for all our ports, excursions, ect. With the Carnival gift cards I just purchase them ahead of time and saves from not having to carry so much cash at once. Not a big deal as some are making it. Works great for us;) -
We have found that it really depends on the crew that is working on that ship. Some are very strict while others tend to be a little less. We have been on one that our youngest was a couple of weeks from the next age group and they would not:( We have been on others that let our 2 youngest girls be together as well even know they are different age groups. Again, really depends on the ship/crew from our experience.

Got 2 gift cards for Christmas and used them on my Dream cruise last week..just took them down to guest services and my S & S card balance had a nice reduction! Gonna ask for them every Christmas and Birthday..lol
This is what we ask for! I also purchase them before our cruises and have them applied as soon as we board at guest services instead of carrying all that cash with me. I have heard that you can cash out the night before in the casino if there is anything left. We just have it applied to a new gift card to use for the next cruise, though we normally come pretty dang close to using all of it;)

We are going on the Glory the week after you! They are $11.50 per day/per guest. We always pre-pay our tips before we go. Makes it one less expense on the S&S bill;)
-
Great review so far, can't wait for the rest! Looking forward to going on the Glory in May;)

Do the gift cards have a service fee? I've only purchased ones for a specific store/restaurant. I thought that an AMEX gift card that you can use anywhere (on Carnival) had a charge associated with it. Something like paying $105 to get a $100 gc.
No, no service fees and you can either have them mailed to the house in the form of a gift card or just have them emailed to you. I just with they would make them re-loadable. I normally show up with a stack;)
-
We do it as well, but with the Carnival Gift Cards. That way it is not the "Use it or Lose it" (though I have heard of people cashing out in the casino the night before) and it all stays on the cards or goes right back on the cards for the next cruise;)
Everyone saves and plans for their vacation in different ways, no right or wrong way!!
-
The only thing we didn't like with the cruise cash was that it was "Use it or lose it". We purchase the Gift Cards, if their is money left at the end of the week they just place it on another gift card that we save for our next cruise;) I have heard that you can also cash out in the casino as well like the Cruise Cash. Just another option.
