Call Capt Marvins. They will accommodate private tours. They have large boats and have great staff. I have used them many times. Go see the stingrays!

fleetwide the ships are currently playing finding dory. Enjoy :)

Natalie is great. One of my personal favorites on the DCL CD staff.

I have always had flight times of around 11am. I have even once had a 1015am flight though it was booked by Disney so if I missed it...its their fault lol. I would say 11am would be the very earliest I would personally book a flight...and that is assuming you are off the ship as soon as the ship has cleared.
-
DCL Bus really is the way to go unless you have other plans before boarding the ship. Just makes the trip so much easier and less stressful. Plus they have TVs on the bus to keep the little ones entertained on the approx 45 min drive to and from the ship

snorkeling here is in my opinion "so so" at best. May be ok for a first timer but it sounds like you have snorkeled or will be snorkeling at other places that may have something better to offer. I am sure you will enjoy your vacation regardless :D

I had never seen her web site...to date I have never seen if she has a web site or not. She was offered through a personal recommendation from someone I know. I called her, she gave me a price...booked it, done deal.

Anyone recently taken a taxi to blue hole from falmouth and know the cost each way or R/t? I heard it costs 10 bucks PP to get into the blue hole? Not looking for a private tour guide for the day as I only have about 4-4.5 hours before I need to be back on the ship. Any info is appreciated.
-
disagree Blue...if you have 30-40 mins...its not worth it. My .2 cents. thats gonna get you to the top and right back down with no time to see any bird show, no time to grab a drink or see a band if there even is one. I have been to PP many times and less than half the time has there been a band up there so I think thats hit or miss depending on the day/time of the visit. But I say its not worth it unless you have 1.5-2 hours from the time you arrive at the base of PP to the time you need to be back on the ship.

I have used both Bernard and Joyce on trips to this island and both were great.
These people not posting pricing on their website steers me away though...why not just post up how much it costs without having to fill in the form. For that reason alone I think I am going to aim in another direction. If I wasnt going to this island with my sister (who has never been) I wouldnt even get off the ship...been there enough and have seen it all (I think lol)

I do not see any pricing on this companies web site for this excursion. Anyone know the adult cost for non RCCL guests?

taxi to ice bar. taxis are all piled up just waiting for people in the cruise port village. paradise point tram is less than 10 mins walk from the cruise ship so no need to taxi there or you can have the taxi drop u there on your return trip. Dont need to book either in advance.
-
Not worth the cost if you only have 30-40 mins. The tram is about a 10 min walk from the cruise ship....pretty close. Typical wait time is about 15 mins to go up and about the same to go back down. You will want time to walk around when up on top of paradise point and to take photos from up there. Plus at a cost of about 20 bucks a person....it would be a pure waste at that cost just to go up and come right back down. PLUS if the ship onboard time is 5pm...you dont want to be "that person" that shows up late and risks being left in St Thomas

"Taste Jamaica" has free wifi and cheap cold drinks.

Cinnamon Bay is my favorite spot on the islands of St John and St Thomas. I say go there :D
-
this place is a super relaxing place. no pressure to book tours like when you get off the ship at other islands. since it is owned by the cruise line the only tours offered at those from Carnival.
-
It is without a doubt pronounced KEY

yup plenty on google. old town is very easy to navigate as well. next to impossible to get lost down there and the forts you cant miss.
-
since you cant actually take ATVs into the rainforest I would opt to do the walking tour of el yunque. I have done the hiking tour and it was a real neat experience.

If you just want to do Maho then your best bet is to grab a cab at the pier. If you would like to spread your day out then Bernards tours is a great way to spend your day. I have gone both routes. I am about to head back for a 3rd visit and this time I will do as I did last time and just grab a taxi to maho for a drink or 2, plane watch and then head back to the ship.
-
If you want to squeeze all that in...get in on a tour. You will save money doing it that route. We did Orient Beach (got bored rather quickly as I didnt care to see 80 year old nude people walking around) so we went to Maho and hung out there for about 2 hours...had a drink and watched the jets come in. Went to the boardwalk and did a little shopping before heading back to the ship.
-
traffic gets VERY bad in the afternoon BUT when I was there it was also the best time to see the bigger planes coming in. Before lunch time we only seen smaller planes...later in the afternoon just prior to us getting in the taxi to head back we seen some much larger jets coming in.
