  1. Loving your review so far! You are right about Crystal City being awesome. I have been to DC twice-one of which was during the shutdown, which was my first time there #fail-and we stayed at the Hyatt Regency and Embassy Suites in Crystal City both times. Great location and easy metro access. You were right about not getting a rental car-you don't need it there because the metro is awesome and can take you anywhere on the three day tourist pass!

Can't wait to see your cruise review! I want to do a bermuda cruise sometime :)

  2. between the St. Marteen, Grand Turk, St. Kitt, San Juan (from Orlando) or the Grand Turk, Amber Cove, San Juan and St. Thomas (from Orlando). the first is July 17th, the second July 24th. We are so torn, so I want some opinions from those who have been to these ports.

The first one hands down. St Marteen and St. Kitts are stunning. Way better than St. Thomas..love San Juan and Grand Turk....great itinerary.....But I would defintely do the first one because its such a better itinerary with better ports.

  3. I am looking at a 5 day On Fascination to Nassau and Half Moon Cay or a 5 day on Valor to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, and Freeport. The prices are very similar.

I have been to Nassau twice, and I think that stops there make a nice uncrowded "sea day" for us. I have never been to Half Moon Cay nor Freeport.

I have been on 2 prior cruises: a 5 day Nassau/ Key West cruise on Fascination and an 8 day eastern carribbean on Liberty. Our Liberty cruise was our all time favorite vacation.

We will be driving to port. Our drive to Jacksonville to board Fascination is 11 hours. Our drive to Port Canaveral to board Valor is 13 hours.

So, would visiting Freeport and sailing on the Valor instead of Fascination be worth an additional 4 hours of driving roundtrip?

Valor! its a bigger and nicer ship! was on her in Jan and loved her!

  4. I was on this sailing with you! You definitely can see some wear and tear on the ship, especially with the chairs in the main promenade. They looked really worn out. Also the carpeting looked bad in some places, especially in the staterooms.

But the staff was friendly and I had an overall fun cruise!

  5. Because of specific reasons, I won't know if I can cruise on a certain date in late January, until just days before it sails. Is there generally "last minuet" availability? Or do most cruises sell out weeks in advance? Isn't January the "slow month"? Thanks.

I think our Valor cruise this sunday is sold out
