Our 25th Carnival cruise is coming up on the Magic this Saturday. It has taken 27 years to get to this milestone cruise. Most were taken when we lived in South Carolina and Kentucky. Now we live 15 miles from Port Canaveral, so many more cruises lie ahead for us. We have 25% of our cruise fare placed into our OBC for this cruise this weekend.

St Maarten by miles and miles.
Agree! Our favorite port of all time.

I will agree regarding your positive assessment of the Grand Marnier Souffle, but I think that the value and quality of the steakhouse was substantially better 10+ years ago and has been going downhill since. Certainly can find better ways to drop 96 bucks for two, but having choices are a good thing.
It sure is

As usual, food is very subjective and personally, not worth the 48 they are now charging. For one meal at the steakhouse for two people, you could go to Jiji's three times each for only a few extra dollars. Now that is value.
To each their own. We personally don't like JiJi's at all. We'll stick to what we like, and that's the steakhouse.

When you are able to check-in at 12AM, go straight to "Arrival Time" first and select your time. Then go back and continue filling out passenger information.

Sure hope Carnival brings Quest back. So, so funny.

We booked the November 16, 2024 Vista sailing online last Friday. This will be our 50th anniversary cruise.

The Steakhouse is ABSOLUTELY worth the money! We always dine there at least once during our cruises. Best meal at sea.

We have our 25th Carnival cruise coming up in December and still love sailing with them. As time goes on, I'm sure the other cruise lines will have cutbacks as well. After becoming Diamond members (31 more days), we plan to try Royal, Norwegian and MSC that sail out of Port Canaveral (13 miles from our home).

It's been several cruises since we started staying onboard the ships, mainly due to the fact we've done just about all of the excursions that Carnival offers. And that includes our upcoming 8-day Magic cruise.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-day cruise aboard the Carnival Liberty. The cruise itself was awesome but our ocean view cabin (2289) was not. It is located directly below the exit door next to Diamond/Platinum Guest Services desk. The wooden ramp at the door is loose and is very loud. All night long! Kids and smokers in and out at all hours. Avoid if possible.

Thx for your review. We sail on her October 10th.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess that I need to remind my PVP of our upcoming 25th Carnival cruise

Do you get any perks for taking your 25th cruise with Carnival? Years ago, you got 25% off your cruise. I realize that times have changed but just wondered.

We do the steakhouse on every Carnival cruise, if available. The food, service and atmosphere can't be beat! Highly recommend it.

Just drove past Port Canaveral and saw a really strange sight. The Carnival Freedom is back in port. At least most of it. The whale tail is missing! I guess they didn't have a spare one lying around. At least the ship is back in service.

Just ask your cabin steward to bring you a gallon. It's $3.00 and they will deliver it to your cabin. I've done this for the past 18 cruises.

Well excuse me all of you! I was told by my travel agent that the tapanyaki was one of the restaurants that would be free. That's what I was told and was what I expected when I boarded the ship. No need to make me look like a fool when I made the posting. Sounds like the TA needs to get her information right before passing it on to her clients! Have a great day, y'all. No more berating, please.

We were also on this cruise and absolutely loved it! This ship is huge, so plan on walking several miles during your cruise. We had a balcony cabin (12306) and it was smaller than we expected. The glass doors added to the shower was a welcomed sight.
We tried to eat at a different restaurant each day, beginning with Shaq's Big Chicken. Reminded me of Chik-Fil-A. Very good. Guy's Burgers were fantastic as usual. The Pig & Anchor was, by far, our favorite lunch of all. We paid extra to eat in the Bonsai Tapayaki for lunch. I didn't like it at all, but my wife did. We ate in the steakhouse and it was delicious, but crowded. Elbow-to-elbow at the tables.
The main thing that concerned us was the non-enforcement of the mask wearing and social distancing. We were expected to get tested 2 days prior to sailing, leaving us to believe that Carnival was serious about protecting its guests. Well, you seen guests wearing their masks on their chins or not wearing them at all. Any time you asked someone to please wear their masks, you were told where to go or got the middle finger. And as for social distancing...it was no where to be seen on the entire ship! So be prepared if you think for one second that these rules will be enforced.
Overall, we had a great cruise. But this ship is way too big for us and we will stick to the mid-sized ships from now on. Cruise #27 is already booked for next year.

We just booked the Mariner of the Seas and was wondering where I can find the current menus for the dining room? It's been 20 years since sailing with RCL
