  1.

You'll have happy hours most days, where you can buy one drink at regular price and get the second one for $1. Most beer runs around $4.95 - 5.95. If you take advantage of happy hour pricing, that will get your per beer cost down to $3.00 - 3.50. People have reported that you can get a bucket (5) of beer for $21.00 and get a second bucket for $1 during happy hour. That drops your per beer cost to under $2.25. I can't confirm this in person, but I've met some of the people who have seen it. They're honest, upright citizens, so I take them at their word. :)

Just remember to order your "Road Sodas" unopened, and you'll have a pretty good source of reasonably priced room beer. And, as always, be nice to your servers.

As far as the beers go, I have been able to buy a bucket of beer at regular price then each other beer in the second bucket for $1.00 a piece - not the bucket for $1.00 but that is my experience.

  2. I just booked the Dec 4 cruise. Considering the low Canadian dollar, the price was very reasonable. It will be the newest ship I have ever been on. I haven't had bad cruise in 20 years so I'm sure this one will be great also.

We booked too because of the great prices. Can't wait to get on her!!!

  3. I am sure this has been asked before but I can not find any information. In Bar Harbor during Low Tide, a natural land bridge is formed and you can walk over to Bar Island on the Bar Island Trail. Low tide the day we will be there is at 11:58 a.m. My question is 'When will the land bridge first become available to walk on?". I am sure it will be a couple of hours before actual low tide but I am not certain. The more important question is the next High Tide is at 6:00 p.m. so when will the land bridge disappear?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

  4. Yes they still are available, but the price doubled a few years ago.

Hopefully someone, can give the contact link for you. I've forgotten it. :)

    Hey Budget Queen,

I guess I will be up at 4:00 a.m. on Jan 2, 2016 trying to get the Brooks Fall Camp for the middle of July to see the Bears.. :) I am sure you have done that!!

  5. I am sure there are other threads about this but I can't find them. Does Carnival still have the Open Bar Parties/Meet and Greets (Use to be 1 or 2 hours)? If so, can someone point me in the right direction to get information such as cost per person, how many are required, etc.?

    Thanks

    Tom
