Moving In
(photos of 8717 Boardwalk Balcony)
OMG I am in this cabin tomorrow! Finished packing and trying to relax so I of course came on cruise critic and now get to see a sneak peek of my cabin. :D

A little blah here, too, but I had a delightful lunch with a fellow Ft. Myers friend who's also a volunteer with the Red Cross...so, I made my own sunshine! :) Actually, this is fine...it's better than the snow & cold back home...are you inland? I'm over by the Caloosahachie....I'm hoping for some rain this weekend, actually!
Yes inland and it my weekend to work so I will be inside for 12 hrs each day so it doesn't matter. I love rainy weekends at home, its like an excuse to be lazy. But you have criticing ;) to do so no laziness for you.

I am in Ft. Myers - on the Gulf side of the state. Besides writing, my plans are to rest and relax a bit...enjoy the sunshine...play some Pickleball (it's a big thing here...and if you don't know what it is, don't feel alone - I didn't have a CLUE!)...and work on my house a bit. And dream of my Top Chef cruising coming soon - of which there will most DEFINITELY be a review - especially of the food!
I am in Ft Myers too, loving your review and wish we could have some sunshine for you! Today was kind of blah where I was anyway.

Wow congratulations Tracy. We need more women LEO, they bring a special point of view to the job. I am sure you will be awesome and you have the most important thing already in support at home.

I just read from the beginning to here and what a great review. No matter how long it takes I hope you finish. We can't miss the proposal and wedding!
When someone asked about the mustache I was smiling because the agency I work at here in Florida we have a lot of "shaved" heads. Then a couple of posts down I saw my first picture of you and your handsome dome. I truly lol'd. :D

Hi all
My name is Joanne and while I have not read this whole thread
I read the beginning and the end, LOL. I was hoping I could join in with you all.
A little about me ... I am 43 yoa 5 ft 4 and 235 lbs. I don't excercise at all and tend to eat WAY too much fast food and binge on potato chips and other snack chips. I work nights as a dispatcher from 6pm to 6 am and one week I work m,t,f,s,s and the next just wed and thurs,so that makes things a little more challenging too.
I have started doing water aerobics a couple of times a week and I am going to try to either do that or walk on the treadmill (we have a gym at work) most days. I haven't had any soda in over a week and only one iced coffee today. I did get a chicken sandwich from chic fil a today but that is the first fast food in about 10 days and no french fries. So that was pretty good.
I have set a goal to lose 30 lbs by Jan and then it will be another 5 months until my cruise. Work always has a weight loss challenge starting in January so I will set a new goal then. Each person puts in $20 and you can do it as a team or individual and top prize last year was $300.

Glad you posted this thread. I'm also looking for ideas for a tshirt to surprise my DS-10 with our cruise 9/30/10 on the Inspiration. I will have him open a gift the night before the cruise in Tampa, which will be a t-shirt & I was thinking of something along the lines of...I got Surprised with a Cruise...or something. I can't really decide on the wording....
But, again, lovin' this thread!

How about a reverse on the old ... My mother went to mexico and all I got was the lousy Tshirt? Maybe like
My mother got me this Tshirt and a cruise to Mexico too. With the dates and the ship???

I would not have booked had I known about this. One of my favorite parts of cruising is the dinner experience getting to know fellow cruisers. However the restaurants and menus look interesting and I will make the best of it.
