I think that is the previous Westerdam now sailing for Thomson Cruises.
It didn't occur to me it was another Westerdam. I think you are correct.

Have you seen the announcement Westerdam is headed for the scrap yard?

VeriFly is not required.

I believe the songs they play are dictated by Hal. It’s not the bands choice. At least that’s the way it used to be.
Each performing band is given a list of 100 approved songs they may play from.

We just returned from a European cruise which we had booked our flights through FE . We were the last to find out that British Airlines had canceled our connecting flight and we had been rebooked to fly home first to Dubai , on Emirates , with a 6 hour layover, then to California, for a total of 23 hours flight time. We only found this out when we were onboard, and checked with guest relations on our flight home. Almost had a heart attack! We refused this flight and guest relations were able to rebook on Air France, with 2 stop overs, as opposed to our original 1 stop over. At no point were we able to personally speak to FE or have any control over our flight plans. Until HAL gets control of FE, I would discourage anyone from using it.

We are on the Oosterdam Rt from Venice in August and disembark on Sept 4th and fly home on the morning of September 5th. The flights are business class booked with Flight Ease. We plan on doing the proctored tests on the morning of Sept 4th before we get off the ship so that we can fly home to the US the next day. If anyone of us are positive and have to quarantine in Venice for 5 or more days. will HAL FE take responsibility to rebook us home and will we have to pay for any additional charges? I am trying to set up a contingency plan just in case. I also hope that by September we will no longer need a negative test to fly home. There are 4 in our group and we are all vaccinated and boosted to meet the Up to Date vaccination requirements of Italy. I am looking for any responses from current or very recent cruise passengers who had this happen to them.
Thank you,
We have been wondering the same thing. Hope you receive an answer.

Our connecting flight to our flight home has been canceled and I'm optimistically depending on HAL to rebook it on another airline, otherwise, we have no flight home. We will never again use FE, it has been nothing but headaches from the start.

And to add this is why I clicked the "request early ticketing" option on the FlightEase website. My flight is 6 weeks out, but my ticket was issued within 24 hours of purchase by taking advantage of that option.
Unfortunately this is not always the case with HAL, we requested early ticketing, paid in full, and HAL still did not get us ticketed. Not until weeks later.

If you can bring up your res on UA's app/website, look around and see if you can click on a receipt option. If so, that will likely display a ticket number if your res has been paid to UA by HAL and your ticket issued.
And to add, you are not ticketed when you pay, only when HAL pays, which they have not been doing until a few weeks from flight.

Yep, us too. BA has canceled one third of their flights, including our connecting flights. We were not notified of this and just found out when we were booking ground transportation and were told there is no such flight. And of course, it is impossible to speak to FlightEase.

45 minutes is not doable, for you or your luggage.

I don't know how to convince you, so I'm not going to try anymore but to once again say, if you don't have a ticket number, you are not ticketed.

If on American Airlines it will be noted, with date, on their website.
You have to have a ticket number.

The original poster is on American. I know American is almost instantaneously uploaded and accessible for changes
What do you mean you know this? This has been my problem, why do you think I posted?

I haven’t been able to get on since last week for my September cruise.
Don't feel too bad, you have company, no one else has been able to either.

Sorry that did not work. I use Safari.. you may try to clear you browsing history.. restart and try it again. Uncheck the boxes by your names. May even try to uncheck them.. then restart.. sorry it’s not working.. I went through that for MONTHS as well. Frustrating
Yes, MONTHS. This is not just a recent problem.

We finally got ticketed by calling the Corporate Office at 206-336-6000. Thank you to all of you who tried to help with suggestions. Believe me, we had tried everything before I even posted. We're not sure we would want to use FE for an international flight again, at least not on American.

This issue is ongoing from several other threads. The majority of us have not had any issues using Flight Ease!
Try calling them.

This is very concerning. We are likely booking one of the Europe cruises for June and were planning on using Flight Ease to buy our flights so we can get reimbursed if HAL cancels the cruise for some reason. Hearing all of the issues here is making me reconsider this decision. Please keep us updated as to what happens with your tickets!
I would wait on booking thru FE until they resolve all their problems. But I will tell you this has been going on for months. We have used them in the past several times and never had a problem.

I am confused. I have been trying to help you as best I can. It was my understanding that you did not have assigned seats in other posts. Now you are saying you DO have assigned seats but are simply trying to change them. Which one is it?
HAL has not paid American for our flight, so it remains unticketed, therefore we can not choose seats. The only help we need now is from HAL.

Flight Ease online only comes up as error message. Hope this is a warning to others about using HALs FE.

Unfortunately, no help here. Just piling on. I am currently on hold with flight ease (I think, unless I got transferred over to HAL). It's been 2 hours 15 minutes at this point. Our flights are next month, and when I try to see our flight itinerary online, it gives me a red error message. The airline website says we are not ticket yet, and to contact my travel agent. I did pay for the flights shortly before final payment date. Sigh.
Wow! Welcome to the club! Something is obviously going on over there. The longest we've made it on hold is 2 1/2 hours before hanging up Good luck!

I had a similar issue with my paid for tickets. The regular HAL line was useless and gave incorrect information. I tried the 1-800-628-4771 to get to flight ease, but got forwarded over to the regular HAL , but i got someone who put me back to flight ease.
The call was over 2 hours. The flight ease said it was AA. I think HAL just did not ticket in time. Mt itinerary got cancelled. Flight Ease got things corrected sort of, but I lost seat assignments, etc.
Be persistent. I did not know about the button on flight ease page. Half the time HAL website is not functional due to load.
Glad to know it's not just us who have had this problem. After days of trying, simply nobody ever answers the Flight Ease number. In trying to get someone to help us we discovered HAL has 7 different phone numbers for customer help and not a single one knows how to help or even know what they're talking about. I believe all agents are working from home and this may be part of the problem.
What's one thing HAL does that other lines do not (what not to miss)

I made the same BB Kings complaint on our last post cruise questionnaire.
