Do you have any favorites? Any that specifically have lunch/snacks included? (Was caught off guard paying $60 for 3 person hamburger lunch in St.M on an excursion)
-
Thanks for all the very helpful replies, I am not as familiar with this line as it has been a while! Thanks again!
-
No help here but you have my sympathy, that would be a hard situation. Hopefully, it will work out in the end. 2nd thought...I would go to roll call & see if ANYONE is cancelling for their ship week & see if they could do a 3 way call to Carnival.

If no reservations are made ahead of time, how long of a wait should a person expect for two people? (Dream)
-
Do they have a tv channel that shows a live view “outside”. In the past on other cruise line if we booked an interior, we would use it as a window. I just wondered if Dream has this as well.
-
I know on the Freedom class the bow/helicopter pad is accessible to all guest but I do not remember that being the case on Oasis class. Can anyone confirm or deny it for me?
-
Do they have them? How much and when?
-
It works out the same either way.....the FNDR was half price at $20 pp
Yes, I do realize that but my husband really enjoyed Chops on Oasis. I would prefer just doing one night since the BOGO is the first two nights of a 5 night cruise. Now if they allowed me to choose what night I would like to specialty dine, I would have no hesitation.
-
We just purchased yesterday for our four night Explorer cruise in September......
Purchase the First Night Done Right? Or the BOGO?
-
We used FNDR on Oasis and wondered if it was offered on Brilliance of the Seas as well. Right now (200+ days still) there is just a BOGO 2 night package. Since it is a 5 night, do they offer it? Anyone with prior experience?
-
Yes, they use the time check in system and when I cruised out they were strict with the times. Anyone early had to go to a line at the side of the building and wait. If you were late you just went in with whatever group was entering at the time.
Thanks for the heads up 12:30 it is then.

Anyone have experience with New Orleans? Earliest Check In is 12:30, do they actually use the time check in system? If so, do they have an early/late line?
-
To be able to answer that for sure I'd need to know how much you're paying without the park n cruise package. I'm betting they don't offer a shuttle to and from the port. If that's the case you'd have to figure in a uber or lyft.
In general I believe the best option is to find your own hotel deal...and park at Fulton Garage. I haven't parked at the port but I hear it's $20/day. I don't know if that's before or after taxes/fees. Fulton is $14/day after taxes/fees for covered...or $12/day after taxes/fees for rooftop parking. They have an excellent shuttle service to and from the port...and the porter meets you at the shuttle. It's all i've used in my five New Orleans cruises. You can book it at www.neworleansparking.com
I just did a mock for the day needed and across the board it was unavailable. Does this mean they are 100% booked? Or should I try closer to my cruise. (July 1st) Or just not available for online reservations? Could I show up and pay the day of the cruise?
-
A rule of thumb.... when purchasing those clear tag holders always buy the wider ones, that way ALL cruise line sizes will fit in them.
I went on & bought some more, now I am covered for any cruise line! :')

I have plastic sleeves that I have used for Royal Carb. Cruises. What are the size & shape of Carnivals luggage tags. I wonder if my others will work or if I need another type.
-
Parking at the port is $15/day and very convenient.
Most common suggestion on this board are hotels in the Rocky Point area - several to choose from and most offer cruise parking packages including shuttles to/from the port. I would also look in the Westshore area near the TPA airport.
www.stay123.com and www.parksleepfly.com are two sources to check.
Good luck! :)
Thank you very much! I will check them out!

My husband always has on the cruise commercial of different cruise port itineraries. I would prefer quiet but his list of “want to do” cruises keeps growing, so I do not really mind. ;)

I have not sailed out of Tampa in over 20 years. What are the top hotels with park & cruise hotels? Or is this port better just to park at Terminal?
-
No way would I pay that amount. There are just not enough self serve locations and as mentioned the ones they have usually have maintenance issues. One promenade machine on Oasis was out of service for most of the cruise. It was a hard pill to swallow at the cheaper price, moving to $11 I will not even have to consider it.

If anyone has decorated their cabin door for a graduate, can you please post pictures to give some ideas? Also, what is the standard door size?
I had a poster made online. If you look at my signature 2017 cruise video I show a photo of him standing by it. His cabin was close to hall entry and he had many hellos & congrats through out the week. I believe he enjoyed the little extra attention. I almost forgot our 1st cruise photo, I had him wear his class of T-shirt/mortar board and mom/dad/sister held sign (proud momma/proud dad....considered shocked sister but I think she went with proud too!)

I am only seeing it through Carnival, are no third party (cheaper) options anymore?
-
I really liked this excursion. The Twister boat is fun, the beach is beautiful and the drinks and food are great. There is no snorkeling though. I did not see any fish in the water.
Did you book through Carnnival or another operator?
-
I’ve never seen that on any Carnival ship; only Royal Caribbean.

Thanks been a while, so I could not remember.

We did it (2016, Liberty of the Seas) and it was wonderful! My only issue was I did not hear about getting tender tickets and was freaking out about meeting up with them that morning. I was at the tender ticket line early. Ended up being a non issue but I throughly enjoyed the tour just not being caught off guard by the change in using tendering tickets. We had a photographer that came along & took photos. We ended up pitching in with others on our tour (13 of us total, less than ship excursion) and buying digital photo package. He sent us a link & we printed/had rights to all our photos he took.
