Studio cabins with balconies.
I have been dying to try to cruise alone. I won't pay the dbl occupancy rate but I must have a balcony. If they offered a studio with balcony I would be the first in line!

We didn't even use the balcony when we had it, other than to show some friends who had an inside cabin what it was like. We stood outside long enough to take a picture; wind blowing our hair in our faces and freezing from the wind. We hated it, I don't see the appeal and am unlikely to ever book one again. I guess if you want to bring something special for it, I would suggest a coat, and a hair tie.

Was it only cold & windy on your balcony? Did you use any of the outside decks on your cruise? I've never heard anyone complain about a balcony room.....

I booked a king room.

How did you get that low of a price? Did you book direct or through a website?

Here is video of 11312 not sure that helps[emoji5]
And it would seem 11314 would have bed near the closet instead of the door, not sure if anyone else can confirm that though!

That video that you posted was for the Breakaway not the Escape.
Scared me for a minute. I have 11312 booked for the Escape and I knew, or thought, it was a much bigger balcony.

I literally, like an hour ago, booked a cruise for May 25th on the anthem of the seas and my ONLY dinner choice was Dynamic.

Where is Ruth in the mix?
That is what I was thinking. Is Ruth no longer on the breakaway? I did see pictures of her on the GA a while back but was told she was just training someone on the GA...

You made the right decision. You are going to love it. Don't forget to have the butler set you up with a breakfast out on your balcony one morning. Or a nice dinner. You can order from any of the restaurants. :D

Thank you
One other question.....
We didn't buy our Dining Plan yet becasue the free promotion came out after we paid in full :(
If we book the Illusion now, they will charge me.
**When and if I buy the Dining plan, will they reimburse me as the Illusion on the first night is free?????????
Yes, the charge will be credited back to your onboard account once on board.

The floor seats are closer to the stage area and you will have a good view of the overhead area. I was in the Haven last October and our concierge, Ruth, escorted us down a service elevator that exited right at the Illusionarium. Once there, they did assign us tables, but Haven guests entered first. So, if you opted for the banquet seats, you would probably be assigned at the front of that area instead of the back. Also, the magicians chose volunteers from both areas.

Were you on the Getaway? Ruth was our concierge on the Breakaway in April. Wasn't fond of hr at first but then realized she was very nice once you broke down her walls. I'm actually hoping she will be on the Getaway when I sail n October.

There is nothing that beats that aft balcony. The size is awesome and the views are amazing. Plus, a lot less windy. I have stayed in 11308 (Haven aft) on the breakaway and will be staying in the same room on the Getaway. Love the set up of that room. The walk to the haven area really isn't bad at all and besides, if you are like me, and eat your way through the cruise, the walk does you some good! :D:p
Enjoy your cruise!

I was on the breakaway in a Haven aft and I feel we had the worst butler ever. I think we annoyed him every time we talked to him. I really liked our night butler. He would bring our morning coffee and danishes. and he always made us feel like he enjoyed doing it!
So ask you, did you have a crappy butler? If so, did his name start with a J?

I wasn't able to purchase it on my last trip because it was a spring break cruise and they are sold then but I wish I was able to. I would have loved to try some drinks but wasn't going to pay for them all and find out I don't like them. At least with the package, if you don't like it you just get another one. I think the package is worth it. :D

Nochi hands down! Loved it. The people were so nice. And the service was wonderful. My drink never reached empty. CARLOS rocked!

:-) you're right. Sorry... Hurry, slowly back.

Have a great trip and hurry home. I'll be on her next!

I wish NCL would update everyone as to what is going on. I hope it is fixed very soon and no other issues arise.
13 more days!

I always zip tie mine. This way they can get it without a problem and I can tell that they were in it. I'm more concerned of the zipper unzipping and my clothes falling out than I am of them getting in it.

Hey, I'm a walking judgment-free zone! LOL. They didn't have VS at all. MOSTLY Marlboro. A few others, but it's really all about the Marlboros.

Thank you for your response. And I wasn't meaning you flaming me but everyone else on board. Lol. :p
Thanks again. I guess I better come prepared in 3 weeks!

Well seems I no longer have them. Not sure if I deleted them by accident or what. I do have them printed out so if you can wait till tomorrow, I will bring them to work and scan them back in. They may have some notes on them though... :D
-
I can email them to you if you post your email address.

Please don't turn this question into an anti smoking thread please...
But if you are in the duty free shop, can you find out if they sell Virginia Slim gold box? I'm on the breakaway at the end of the month and would rather purchase them on board for $40ish than buy them here for $90.00.
-
I just did a mock booking for a 2 bedroom penthouse for 6 people and it cane to $6999.00 for the 1st and 2nd person for a total of $15000.00 and the remaining 4 people were free. This is for the 12 day on the breakaway.
They are just charging you for all people in the cabin but dividing the entire cost between the first 2 people. seems like a scam to me.

No, the only charges on GSC are for beverages, just like on board! Think of it as an outdoor buffet just like on the ship. :D
Well that is what I thought but then why do they say you get a $50 food and beverage credit? I guess its really just a beverage credit :D
