  1.

It sounds like right now, my only choices are HAL and Princess, so we'll probably stick with Princess, since that is where we have had our best experiences.

    .

Norwegian Cruise line also does the PC cruises - might be a nice combination between HAL and Princess.

The Caribbean Princess is sailing through the new locks next season for sure.

  2. Hi: We r also not sure about the Solistice Australia/New Zealand cruise. I know there r several cruise only itineraries. We just also discovered that Celebrity has a subagency under them called Enrichment Journeys. They do part Australia with hotels, tours, etc and then onto the Solistice for the New Zealand part. Have u heard of this? anyone? we might do this. Expensive, but sees alot in 23 days.

Doesn't seem anymore expensive than a tour to Australia. I like there is land and sea and nice to have the ship for meals on the NZ portion.

Has anyone done an Enrichment Journey here?

  3. I could see the ship from my balcony at the Jersey Shore at around 5:30. When I was watching it I thought it was my imagination that it wasn't moving.

It was in view for quite awhile.

    Hi Gaylemh -

How far is the "Jersey Shore" from the Bayonne port? We plan to stay in a hotel near the port. Just wondering about going down to the Jersey Shore before our Anthem cruise next fall even though the weather won't be awesome.

  4. Spending time relaxing on the balcony is part of our cruise experience that we really enjoy and especially since this PC cruise will be 15 days I'm sure we will enjoy our time outside. I agree that the cost is more but we are willing to pay the extra because we want the balcony. We shop early for 'deals' too.

  5. I'm sorry, but I don't remember the name, this was our first river cruise, but I do remember it wasn't far from where the ship docked. It was a very large store on the corner and they had a huge selection of clocks ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Mine was around $450 and I picked a medium sized clock that has a pendulum but is battery operated...another nice feature is the light sensor...once it gets dark in the kitchen, the cuckoo goes to bed! I remember my Dad swearing at the clock when it cuckooed at midnight and he had to get up at 6 a.m. :D

The store closed early the day we were there and I missed going! Should have stopped there first before doing some other running around. Easy to find the store though.

  6. I thought connection was pretty fast but you tend to lose connection when going under bridges or down in the locks. Same happened with the TV though too. I could easily send emails.

I couldn't upload pictures but they mentioned that would be a concern especially if too many tried to do it at once so I don't think they allowed it at all.

I could text iphone to iphone but not to another brand.

Considering where we were sometimes I thought internet wasn't too bad - better than out in the ocean somewhere!
