  1. The model pictured is the Belkin and it does twist. Worked fine on the Conquest

There were two models, the earlier one's USB jacks weren't powerful enough to charge an iPad, the later one does.

You are God. I did not know that. I pressed the white button on the back and put some pressure on the prongs and it turned ...sweet...Thanks all

  2. Carnival's policy reimbursed us for the on board medical expenses, but only after I had ran them through my Dad's health insurance. I just included the denial letter from Medicare and insurance company and they sent me a check. We had to put the fees on our credit card, before disembarking, even with the Carnival's policy:confused:

We have insurance through Allianz for our next trip and medical expenses are paid up to $50,000 as the primary policy.

My parents don't have any insurance....so does that make the secondary insurance our primary insurance?

  3. Me(43) wife(38) and daughter(9) travel a lot. We have never bought insurance for any of our travels. However an incident 3 months back has changed my thoughts. We planned our vacation to China from Nov 20 - Dec 1, 2013. On Nov 12 my 9 year old daughter had severe pain on right abdominal side. Without getting into details, she had appendicitis emergency operation within 24 hours. She was discharged from hospital on Nov 14. Since the operation was laproscopic, doctor said he has to check her again on Nov 18 to make sure she is fine for travel to China. Everything was okay with her and we travelled to China for 12 days. One of the most amazing trips we have ever taken.

We are booked on April 6 cruise to W Caribbean with my 76 year old dad and 65 yr old mother. I am now looking for insurance which would cover a large part of medical if it arises. I see Travelguard Lite is about $130 for all 5 of us which seems pretty good and includes decent coverage. Any opinions on that?

  4. Myself got the offer. Me and family have been on Carnival only twice...both times we got the cheapest 3 day Mexican cruise out of LA. Past cruises were in like 2009 and 2011. We never walked into the casino ever in any cruise. We have never had a single alcohol drink or for that matter bought anything which will cost us out of pocket.

  5. The whole process is BS. So Carnival denied my claim cos the advertised lower price offered one hour less than what Carnival advertises. So my plan is to take the denied claim printout with me to the ship and if Carnival's tour is not exactly 7 hours, I am going to demand a refund or BRG right there at the guest relations counter. Doesn't that sound right? I mean if Carnival says their excursion is 7 its got to be 7 hours else I have the right to demand a refund ..I am just playing by their rules.

  6. Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

Thank you for submitting a Shore Excursions Best Price Guarantee claim. We regret to inform you that your claim was not accepted because the tour submitted was not similar to the tour on our program.

Specifically, our tour is longer in length than this tour by one full hour.

  7. My husband and I both received letters today from Carnivals players club for free interior cabins and a nominal fee for upgrades. There were 6 cruises offered anywhere from 3 to 9 days in the next 4 months. Unfortunately, we had such a not so good time on the Pride in November we are going to pass. Seems they are giving out deals lately.

In what medium did he get the 1st and 2nd offer?

    1) By email

    2) By snail mail

    3) By logging into his account.

  9. Woo - Hoo ! We got a letter today too. It was using my husbands' VIFP number. We cruised last May. Our kids always have their own cabin next door but didn't get a letter.

We just booked an 8 day out of Galveston on the Magic June 29. Will be in Cozumel for the 4th of July ! We upgraded to a balcony and our total with taxes, the upgrade, and gratuities is $451.

We picked Galveston because it's a 14 hour drive and we won't have to buy usual airfare.

    Awesome.

Congrats...Did you get the mail today?
