Update on Iona departure it is now Monday 1st January 2024. Fireworks in southampton by the looks of it. Itinerary is now totally revised with Vigo.now the last port

Thank you for the definitive reply. Do you know if this will impinge on a port visit e.g. Vigo. As this is a 12 hour delay and if weather is rough than an increase in knottage is probably unlikely. Many thanks

We are due to join Iona on Saturday 30th December, but have noticed on Southampton VTS that it's departure time is now 06.00 on Sunday 31st December is this a typo or a real delay.

I see that starting in January 2024 Lisbon is to start charging a tourist tax on each Cruise ship passenger at €2 each. Does anyone know if P&O are going to charge the passengers or absorb it in the fare?

Talking of plumbing issue's our cabin toilet has failed to work apparently due to a suction valve failure my wife is not impressed

Not very happy with Princess, just a couple of days after final payment date, the following was received today "We regret to advise you that due to an unavoidable change to the drydock schedule for Emerald Princess, the length of your Canary Islands voyage has been shortened to 10 days and will now depart from Southampton (London) two days later than published on Friday, October 28, 2022. As a result, we will also no longer be able to visit Lanzarote (Arrecife), Canary Islands or Lisbon, Portugal. Additional port dates and times have also been amended. Your cruise fare will be recalculated based on 10 days, and your promotions will be protected. You will receive your new booking information and updated itinerary by August 19, 2022. As a gesture of goodwill, guests who remain on this voyage will receive $100 USD per person onboard credit (credit applies to first two guests on the booking only). Taxes, fees and port expenses will also be adjusted based on the updated itinerary" Why did they wait until final payment and then issue this, a bit of a cynical ploy hoping passengers will not cancel after paying in full?
