Vitality SOOOOO glad to hear you did decide to stay with the cruise. Did you still book thru CruCon just at the military rate vs. the group rate ?

Yes, I still booked through CruCon just with the military rate. Thought I was going to have to cancel because she was saying she couldn't see the rate I was seeing. I said "I'm looking right at it"...lol. Anyway, it wasn't Kathryn not sure if she was out today or what but either way, I'm booked. I haven't been able to pull the reservation up on Carnival but my room is no longer showing available so I feel confidant it was booked properly.

I was told that I had to file my Future Cruise Certificate directly with Carnival. Does that sound right?

I'll email you about the hotel. I think I will come in the night before since it is February and there is a risk of snow.

Finally made full deposit on the cruise! I chose the military rate because it was so much cheaper for the 1A and I get $50 OBC. Because I went with the military rate I won't get any of the group benefits but hope I can still hang with the group. I'm traveling solo and would love to experience a group cruise.

I'm going on the Glory next month so I really enjoyed this thread. I'm so excited.

I haven't been active in this thread because of focusing on other things. I'm now starting to focus on this trip so I wanted to pop in and say hi. I've scanned over a few pages already and it seems everyone is already great friends so I hope it's not too late for me to join in the fun.

So far, I've only put the initial deposit down but I'm going to make full deposit shortly. I've really been trying to decide if I was going to keep this cruise or go for one that's shorter but I've decided to keep this cruise. I like the itinerary and I'm excited to do a group cruise but also nervous.

Just to reintroduce myself, my name is Shareese and I live in Va. I'll be cruising solo and I'll be celebrating a birthday while on the ship.

Just booked today. Right now I'm traveling solo but I think my mother might decide to join me. I'll just be on the first leg.

I'll be celebrating my birthday while on board.

Very interested in booking this cruise for both legs. The only hang up is the $50 penalty for cancelling. February 2014 is so far away, I'm not sure I want to risk losing the $100 total if I have to cancel.

Thinking of doing this group cruise but it seems as everyone has already traveled together extensively and I'm just wondering is there a "place" for someone who has never done a CC group cruise? I love the idea of traveling in a group and the reduced deposit but definitely don't want to feel like a "third wheel".

I thought that any price drop had to be a publicized rate available to all. If that's the case, the price drop for interline wouldn't qualify. I could be wrong though...just saying.
