  1. When I booked my cruise I included gratuity for 2

final payment is due at this time I have payed for the entire cruise plus gratuity for one.
My question is this if I don’t pay for the 2nd gratuity by the final payment due date will my cruise be cancelled?

  2. My wife and I have cruised both and for us it is Firenze by a head.

Being gamblers having a stand alone non smoking casino is a major plus.

We were never disappointed with the food, on the Panorama we were disappointed once or twice. The Java Cafe on the Firenze being on Lido deck we found very inconvenient. On the Panorama it is on deck 3. We love the cove balcony which both have. We found the Firenze decor slightly more to our taste and the crew on the Firenze were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Example, we had any time dinning, on the first night we were given a table with direct window view, I asked if we could have that same table for next evening, the Host reserved it for each night of the cruise.

Never had a bad cruise just some were better than others.

  3. My recent carnival experience, in the end of a 5 day sailing I had 12k in w2g’s and 7K in points. Not once was I greeted by a casino host much less offered an in sailing comp. At end of cruise received an ocean view room on specific sailings with only charge tax and port fees. Personally not impressed. Of course as a casino winner I am anxious to sail Carnival again but will not do so without a decent comp over, for me that would include free balcony and some free play.

  4. Yes just off the miracle

arrived at the port and the parking lot was coned off, no opportunity to park, a very friendly gate keeper informed us that there were 2 cruise ships out and that the lot was full. We were given directions to the convention center. I dropped off our bags and proceeded to the convention center, less then 10 minutes. I had to pay 6 days ($120) to enter the lot. Parked and a shuttle was waiting to take us to the ship, total time less than 25 minutes. This was at 11 in the morning.  Returning had a bit of a wrinkle. There were busses waiting for us and we stored our luggage in the bus however the driver took us to the wrong location!!! Probably 15 minutes waisted, really no big deal but at the end of the cruise we just wanted to get home. Anyway when we arrived at the proper location my wife waited with the luggage on the sidewalk while I got the car(roof parking) from there it was a to b.   Hope this helps

  5. I just returned from the 5 day Miracle sailing and there was a significant cross section of Americana. From bikers to bankers, men and women of all stripes. I rarely have an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of these individuals. Having bellied up to the craps table and betting on the right side of the dice I with several others who were covered in paint we hooped and hollered as the dice held for quite a lengthy period, everyone made money! I am as white as can be so there was an obvious contrast. Later on, on the Lido deck I was desperately looking for a table for my wife and I when one of my fellow shooters invited me to join him and his wife. For the next hour we had the best time sharing realities. OK but also On the same cruise during trivia we sat with a family who had a senior analyst at UBS, again great conversation and perspective. Well done to Carnival they must be doing something right.

  6. Kanyon 71 I LOVE everything about cruising except for the last day at sea. For some reason , which I have never been able to understand I am melancholy. It is the oddest thing, I wake up and after breakfast and a second cup of joe I am sad and just wish I was home. Weird I know but there it is.

  7. Apparently there may be a new breed of cruiser. Back in the day there were frequent posts “doc dance”. This was when one received their documents in the mail. Then when the internet became the form of communication the doc dance celebration transformed into “single digits” in the countdown to cruise day. Now I see none of the above, I am sure people are just as excited but are somehow expressing it differently.

  8. I have taken this itinerary many times, including several times over the summer months. Yes the last day it does cool down but the seas have never been so rough that it has bothered me and I have been known to get sea sick. I have heard about the seas getting rough but I personally have not experienced those conditions. I am booked on the 12 Aug Panorama cruise.
