  1. Good morning,

I can't recall if I have already asked this and if so I apologize for the repost but I am looking for recommendations from those of you experienced with the NYC terminal area for a pre-cruise hotel. We are a group of 10 currently booked for Bermuda on May 29, 2022 and we are flying in the day before in hopes of getting there early enough to see a few sites.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I'm failing you all right now... It's not even seven o'clock, and I think that I'm ready to crash... It's like I became ninety years old overnight...

At 20 pages and you just set sail, I would say that is far from a failure!!! After all that has happened u to this point I would say you deserve some down time. Plus you need to rest up so you can keep this going for the remainder of the cruise!! Awesome review so far, thanks for taking us along, AGAIN!

  3. Some may find this comical as the Celebrity website has a history of being a bit "wonky" at times. I received an email from Celebrity today to upgrade our drink package to either the Premium Package or, wait for it................, yes, you guessed it, the Drinks and More Package with a "Book Now" tab below each offer. For a split second I thought, maybe, just maybe, it was "back by popular demand" but unfortunately after clicking the Book Now button and checking the box next to each of our names, the same ERROR message appeared 😥. There you have it, again.

  4. As I posted a few days ago but for some reason my post was deleted, I have no idea why. I spoke with a Celebrity rep regarding this upgrade package and she told me it was being discontinued. She also told me that any packages that were purchased prior to the date the decision to discontinue was made( not sure what the exact date was though) would be honored. Hopefully this answer will not cause this one to be deleted. Hope it helps.

  5. Good morning Jamie, first off, thank you for taking us along with you and I must say it's been an enjoyable review so far. The most comical were your posts about the alcohol consumption, I totally get it, definitely easy to let it get the best of you as I have done many times. I have found, as others have posted, water is key and if you want the extra benefits, for future reference, I have found the Rebound patches work well as do the AfterDrink pills, they are all natural as far as I can tell.

We took our honeymoon trip on Summit in August and had a wonderful time, I would say the best cruise we've been on so far, it was only our 4th and 1st with Celebrity. The crew is awesome, can't say enough great things about them.

A few you may have met already are Beatriz and Agus in the Sunset bar, Joey that's in Oceanview in the morning and MDR evenings and his wife Bianca that works mornings in Cafe' Al Bacio. The 2 others are Rendy and Ari at the Martini Bar, those guys are the most talented and comical bartenders I have come across. Please tell them all Perry & Joanne from Maine say Hi ! We still stay in touch with Beatriz, she is wonderful. We are hoping to be back onboard soon.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and thanks again for taking us along!! 🙂

  6. I've been following along both here and your posts on the NCL thread and enjoy reading them. I'm pretty sure you're going to really enjoy Summit, if not for the ship, definitely for the crew, they are awesome. We sailed in August for our honeymoon and it was our first Celebrity cruise (Bliss and Encore previously) and it by far the best we've experienced. I'm sure the low guest count had a lot to do with the on board experience but overall the crew made the trip. I know you have also been on the mega ships so obviously this ship will be a lot different but hopefully in a good way as it was for us. I look forward to reading your posts as we are planning to be back on again in December.

As far as the Drinks and More package, we had it as well and everything in the mini fridge is included (snacks too) and replenished daily as needed. Have a great trip !!

  7. Hello from Maine, we've been following your thread and all I can say is I wish we were there with you, you know how to party and live life!! We were on Summit in August for our honeymoon and Beatriz, Derwin, and Agus kept us well lubricated, wonderful people. We stay in contact with Beatriz so I told her we were following your thread!! Enjoy what time you have left onboard and please tell Beatriz Joanne and Perry say Hi!!

  8. We just had the same thing happen to us for our December cruise. I booked first class round trip flights for the first time ever (one stop because we're flying out of Portland, ME). The departure flight stayed the same but the return flight changed to 10am and now it shows Economy class not first. FBC emailed today telling me that they are working on it and will contact me within 7 days to provide an update. Hopefully they come through since everything is paid in full already!! Good luck with your flights!

I have some serious trouble sleeping at night, so I have to pack five different things to help try to get to sleep... This, and ear plugs, since I have no idea what kind of noise might be going on outside my cabin in the wee hours of the night...

I know how you feel being a very light sleeper myself, even after a good afternoon and evening of my favorite libations!! It's apparent your go to drink is a margarita and I like them as well but at the end of the night, actually after dinner too, I like to have a couple white creme de menthe with club soda to settle my stomach. I know it sounds kinda weird but it works for me and has a calming effect. GIve it a try if you like mint flavors. Also wanted to tell you I just purchased the Rebound patches for my December Celebrity cruise, hadn't heard about them until seeing it in this post, thanks again!!

  10. I don't want to jinx the cruise so I'm only going to say, hooray for another Sid Live review!! FINALLY! Your report on Encore as well as your responses to my questions during our planning for Encore in Feb of 2020 were lifesavers. I'm really looking forward to your take on the Virgin experience as we are seriously considering giving it a try.

    Thanks for taking us along!!

  11. There are definitely some issues going on and I have been experiencing the same problem with the info tab. For example, we are booked for Dec 16th and paid in full, when I go in to check on flights it automatically brings up my wife's info page asking for it to be updated. Some of the information is pre-filled so I fill in the remaining blanks, hit "Save and continue" and it tells me Guest information cannot be changed and to call customer service. So I finally called Captain's Club, the rep updated all our information (3 days ago now) and just now the account still shows the same info and does the same thing. Very frustrating, fortunately there's still plenty of time to fix it.

Additional item, on the app, our Check in had been showing October 31st but just now it says Check in closed. It seems like it changes back and forth every few days, weird.

You have to pay for it. It's not complimentary. Only the first bottle is complimentary, and it may no longer be champagne. it may just be a bottle of wine now. I will tell you that the Celebrity champage is just like fizzy nail polish remover.

I appreciate the information, I actually would have been very surprised if one bottle a day for free would have been the case for this level of cabin but it was worth asking. Thanks

  13. This thread caught my eye as we were just upgraded to a Concierge cabin from a veranda by the Blue Chip Club (without asking) for the December 16 cruise we just booked. This will only be our second Celebrity cruise, first was our honeymoon cruise on August 14th on Summit out of St Maarten. I would certainly like to know if the bottle of sparkling wine could be a daily item if we request it versus just upon arrival as we do like our mimosas with breakfast!! Having it on our balcony would make it even more enjoyable!! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  14. Is anyone else experience problems with the website when trying to pay the balance due or for flights? My final payment is due today and it keeps directing to call Customer Service after I enter my payment info. With the flights section, once I choose the flights it asks to choose guests and as soon as I click to check the box it brings me to brings me to a personal info edit page but won't let me save any info, seems locked.

  15. This thread caught my eye as we were recently on our first Celebrity cruise and on the Summit and were wondering how the point system works. This cruise was a comped cruise based on offers sent in to a particular website (I don't think I'm allowed to say the name) from our land based casino play. We were hoping to be able to start getting offers from Celebrity based on our play because we loved our first experience with Celebrity so much. The Blue Chip Club pamphlet shows tier level points needed to advance but does anyone know if they use the same slot play points to base their offers on? We haven't been able to get much information on this so any background info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
