  1. I highly recommend Dyea Dave tours, have gone with him eight times. They are done at a great pace, and informed commentary. There is an opportunity to also go with this company taking the train one way. A very nice combo. You have some time in Carcross, for a quick walk around, lunch at the excellent- Chilkoot Bakery. :)

    Appreciate the feedback .

  2. We have been to skagway 4 times. I have 2 favorite exursions both outside of the cruise lines. 2 weeks ago we did Dyea Dave to Emerald lake in the Yukon. It was beautiful and I would highly recommend. We also did a hike and float http://skagwayfloat.com/tours/chilkoot-trail-hike-and-float/. I would also highly recommmend that trip for a great day in Alaska!

Thinkng of doing this same tour in June would appreciate what you liked about the trip and if there were any downsides to booking a private tour .

where you ever in jeopardy of missing the ship .?

Timeliness of pick up , condition of the vehicle and the knowledge of the tour guide any information would be appreciated thank you .

  3. Has anyone use this excursion company in Skagway looking at the Emerald Lake tour mainly looking at private tours because we want a smaller group versus the large groups on the buses with the crew ships .

Of course the main concern is the reliability and experiences people have experienced with this tour company any information would be appreciated thank you and advance .

  4. Does anyone have experience with either of these parking lot at the port of San Francisco .

Looking at the map they seem pretty close to each other not sure if one is better than the other and which might be closer or easier to get to Pier 27 princess cruise lines .

Looking at some previous post on the subject no shuttle service but that was quite some time ago anyone with recent experience know if they know provide shuttle service .

  5. I have stayed next door. It is a good walk to the elevators. Good exercise but if you have any mobility issues, it could be a challenge.

Can you comment on the noise if any under the cafe?

  6. Your balcony will be a bit larger. The only real problem is you are under the Ocean View Cafe. You could have noise from above day and night.

Never thought about the possible noise issue

Hopefully someone who has stayed in this cabin will comment on the noise possibility

  7. Cabin 2144

    Pro's Con's

Main concern is how far to elevators . Love that deck just not to sure about being that far back. We have never had sea sick issues so that is not our concern

    Anyone familiar with this cabin?

  8. Considering Saling on the ship have a few questions. Hope someone can help

considering staying on deck 14 aft.

Looks like cafe caribe above stateroom how busy is that cafe? When does it close ?

Am I correct the Outrigger is a bar?

    Looking @ a balcony.

    Thanks

  9. Hi all,

Last year my girlfriend and I, along with another couple went on a 4 day Baja cruise on Carnival. We paid for the FTTF (Faster To The Fun) package and breezed our way thru the lines getting on board the cruise ship.

This year we are going on Ruby Princess for the 7 day Mexican Riviera. Any tips on how to breeze thru just like we did on Carnival? We have all the paperwork filled out and ready to go.

Also, any advice or tips on this cruise? We already have the Yelapa & Mahajuitas Beach shore excursion in Puerto Vallarta booked as well as the Mazatlan City tour. We want to horseback ride on the beach in Cabo San Lucas.

Does he Ruby have Alferdo Pizza?
