  1. sorry, your getting some bad advice. Shuttle Express.com opeates the airporter and most certainly stops at the Westin. You can get a towncar that is based at SEATAC airport and run by the port. No reservations needed and its a flat $45 for up to 4 to Westin hotel. It's called Stila and you can use the phone in baggage claim and call Ground Transportation and they pick you up at the door closest to you in Baggage claim. Link light rail will put you about one block from Westin hotel. Only you can decide what is easiest for you?

  2. Me and my family are looking at booking at the Fairfield Inn by the Seattle airport. It's very reasonably priced, but was wondering if anyone had any information about this hotel. Is it nice or should it totally be avoided?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

there are multiple Fairfiled's at Seatac so its helpful to say which one

  3. We are arriving at SeaTac via Princess Shuttle from Vancouver. We do not plan on flying out until two days later and have booked a hotel (Homewood Suites-Cnv Ctr-Pike Place). Not sure where the Princess shuttle will drop us off but interested inflat price taxi. Does anyone know if this is doable? Train out of question as I have no desire to handle luggage on train.

    TIA

    Chris

if its taking you to the airport then a $45 towncar would take you right to the hotel. If you can deal with luggage the light rail would take you to Westlake Station and you may have a 4 or 5 block fairly level walk to your hotel.

  4. an uber driver soliciting fares is the same as the town car guys doing it. Of course its illegal. How were you supposed to pay? You'd also have no insurance if the guys crashes as Uber is not going to pay. Uber drivers don't have to have a lot of insurance as Uber would normally cover any liability. The risk is all on the passengers.

Super Shuttle does not operate in Seattle. Perhaps your thinking of shuttleexpress.com?

  5. OK flat rate towncar $45 to DT Seattle - just arrive and call ground transportation?! extra for luggage? tip expected? thanks!

no charge for luggage. They charge a few dollars more if more than 4 passengers. Rate does not include gratuity. You can call or cross the skybridge and you'll see the counter for Stila limos. Calling is easy as then they come to the door closest to you in baggage claim/.

  6. if you have 5 or 6 your really need to use the STILA towncars as they have limos that can hold 6. The problem is always the luggage as people tend to overpack. The shuttles are waiting at the taxi que. Even a minivan would only hold 4 and if you could find a bigger van then there would be no room for luggage. The flat rate towncars are the best option for multiple people. You can find them in the same area or call Ground Transportation from Baggage claim

  7. Hi,

The Port of Seattle has a new cab company at seatac airport. Some cabs are metered and others are flat rate so for the present you need to ask for a flat rate one. To Downtown Seattle which would include Pier 66 the flat rate is $39 To Pier 91 its $45. A flat rate towncar for up to 4 is $45 to downtown and $60 to Pier 91. You do not need to reserve as these towncars and limos are always in the parking garage at Seatac. Just call ground transportation and the car will be sent to you in baggage claim. Taxis you need to walk over the skybridge to the taxi line in the parking garage. I'm hoping this can get 'pinned' as the question comes up a lot

  8. Have you looked at area aroun Southcenter Mall? The area would be Tukwila. Just east of seatac but in an area with lots of walkable restaraunts and shopping. Its also on the light rail line or transit into downtown. Look at

    seattlesouthside.com

as they will show lots of hotels. Please ask before booking here or on tripadvisor before booking as some show hotels are far from the airport. Also look at hotwire.com anywhere in the pike place zone. Anything within Seattle is an easy cab or uber to downtown or to the port. There is a new Hampton Inn at Northgate or a new Staybridge Suites on Aurora ave n. Because they are new perhaps their rates will be more reasonable. Hotel 5 is nice. Its a remodeled Ramada Inn. Old fashioned but redecorated in very contempory design. Close to everything.

  9. you will save substantial money by renting downtown and not at Seatac. You save some tax and fees. Especially the rental car facility charge. On a longer rental the fees add up. Look at

    Kayak.com

or similar and put in Seattle vs Seatac to see a comparison. I also like Costco to compare or hotwire. There are almost all the rental firms located in the Macy's garage on 3rd and Pine right downtown.
