If you are getting off for a tour, that happens just as fast as anyone disembarking. Instead of the crew making sure you are the last ones off, you can get off really early- the computer will note you got off. You won't be able to get back on until everyone is off- but that's not an issue since you will be on a tour.
In theory, you should get your new card along with a note that you don't have to check in- just board- the night before. For sure, ask guest services for details, but they should be very capable of having people get off the ship for whatever reason and get back on before the last check in time.
Thank you. The tour we are looking to do is not a Royal tour since they do not offer any at the TAD port we will be at so not sure that changes anything. Being a very experienced cruiser but a newbie to B2B cruises, I am hesitant to vary from the normal turnaround process.

Question for the experienced B2B cruisers on Royal. We will be doing a B2B in Europe later this year and are trying to schedule a tour on turn around day. Can anyone estimate an average time you are able to complete the turn around process and then get off the ship? I am sure it varies by cruise and port but hoping there is a decent estimate. TIA.

Call Royal and/or your TA if applicable. You must fly out the same day if you book the shuttle to the airport (OR give them fake flight info that makes it look that way.)
There is also one to Venice City Center (the Tronchetto bus stop from which you can get to the train station). That's the one I booked for after the cruise. (Actually for before as well)Thank you. We are looking for city center so that will work perfectly.

We just booked the shuttle back to Venice after our cruise. I don't know when the shuttle leaves but your flight has to be scheduled to leave after noon.
How did you book the shuttle from Ravenna to Venice? Does it have to go to the airport or do they make stop(s) in Venice?

Looking at Celebrity Summit from our balcony at the end of the pier right now. She is about ready to sail away. Not sure what the occupancy is on this sailing but saw very few passengers get off and go into town. Saw a couple groups heading for excursions.

Hoping someone who was on the January 8 sailing is still reading this thread and can answer a question for me: Which ports did you actually get to stop and disembark at during the cruise?
I thought one of you posted St. Maarten and Nassau (which we know was not on the original itinerary at all). Someone said that there were also 3 stops at Coco Cay, just for crew quarantine exchanges.
My brother has a friend who took his family on the Allure supposedly last week and said they only stopped at one port. I am guessing that maybe my brother misunderstood which sailing the friend was actually on.
Hoping one of you can fill us in.
We stopped at St. Maarten and Nassau. St. Thomas and St. Kitts would not allow docking due to Covid. St. Maarten was an originally scheduled port although we went there a day early. Nassau replaced the DR a couple months ago.
We were supposed to visit Coco Cay in place of St. Thomas but high winds and surf did not allow us to get off the ship. There were 3 stops total there to exchange crew.

Agreed! Sometimes I get side tracked and forget to do updates. Port intensive cruises are much more difficult to do reports for since you're out and about. On this soakingo, with only 2 ports for 8 days, and Nassau only getting off for an hour, I had plenty of time by the pool which is a good time to do updates.
And with all that said, you did a great job and I know everyone that followed appreciated it. I enjoyed following and added what little additional that I could.

You may want to adjust your expectation of every sailing having a live from thread - that is far from routine on CC.
Wouldn't say far from routine. Although I don't make the time to do one myself, I have added information to threads from most of the many cruises we have been on. Takes a lot of effort from those orchestrating the thread.

On the main RCI section of CC, there's a drop down menu with most of the ships listed - pick Allure from there and it'll list all Allure related threads.
That's what I had done previously and surprisingly, nothing shows up for 1/16.

Anyone currently on this sailing able to provide how all is going so far? We were on Allure last week and friends of ours stayed on for a B2B.

Does anyone know if there’s a similar thread for the current 6 Day cruise and Allure OTS.
I could not find one….
I was trying to find the same. Friends of ours stayed on for a B2B and hoping to see how that cruise is going compared to ours last week.

Great report! Just to add things that I don't think were mentioned:
Cleaning going on all the time. As you sat down at any table the "available" sign was immediately turned to the "unavailable" side until you left then the table and chairs were washed and disinfected. Playing 3-card poker, the dealer pumped hand sanitizer on your hands before you could touch the cards. When you gave them your seapass, they wiped it down as well. Had breakfast and one lunch in the MDR, never mixed tables and there were never two tables occupied next to each other. Felt totally safe the whole time.
If we had to wait 40 seconds for an elevator, that was unusual. Think that happened once.
Disembarking was the easiest ever. You get a time to leave. Put your bags out then in the morning go get breakfast them head back to your stateroom until your number is called. We got off the ship a half hour before our time was scheduled. Very smooth, never had to slow down all the way to the car.
Johnny Rockets has the best bacon.
Giovanni's has the best filet. It is juicy and not as dried out as in Chops.
Drink package to buy on board on day 1 was $84 but second one was 50% off so about what we paid pre-cruise.
I was a little disappointed that the casino does not let a husband and wife combine points for future cruises. But I got over it. Both of us got Prime with 2500 points.
We had a great time and Roual Caribbean is top notch. I don't think they could have done a better job!
Have to agree with most everything except in our area of the MDR, prior to us being assigned a table, they attempted to squeeze us in to one of 3 tables for 2 that week maybe 15" apart. All 3 we're occupied every night but plenty of available spaced tables throughout the MDR. When they tried to squeeze us in on the first and second nights, I said no and they say us at a somewhat distanced table and we had that same table every night after.

Thank you @colesc15 and others for such good information all week.. You solidified our “go” decision for Allure in 6 days!
Just be careful and be flexible and you will have a great time!

Record time this morning. Off the ship and was checking in at airport at 7:45 and that was even after doing a random check before leaving the ship for customs.

Well to make you feel warmer, the temperature in PA is going to be 13 degrees tonight. ☀️ 🏝
Hope it’s a beautiful day for you!
Been following since we are from PA too. Hoping to get home before the snow storm starts and have the Eagles game set to record.

Low 70's and sunny as best I can tell.
And light to calm winds which to us this week is the most important part.

So once you get onboard you look at the available shows on different nights then check if it's open for reservations?
Once on board, go into the app and hit refresh then you can go into the daily planner and make reservations.

Outside of the first day in regards to St Thomas, covid hasn't been mentioned once and it's been refreshing since back home every news story is about it. We both completely understand the risk involved with covid and will never downplay it, but we take our precautions and avoid situations you know could get you into a quarantine or catch it and we've up to this point had a phenomenal cruise
I think most of us on board are more concerned about hearing tomorrow's weather in Nassau than the Covid count.

For whatever reason, this has been the most difficult to open balcony door we've ever had. I swear people 4 decks below should be able to hear me when I open it lol.
Our room Steward is going to report it to maintenance but I am sure nothing will be done this cruise.

Appears that Odyssey has given up and sailing away. They must feel there is no hope for Coco Cay today.

We're on Port side and I was able to open ours this morning. We've had issues with ours all week and just have to pull like hell sometimes because it feels locked but it eventually opened each time.
Just had our room steward come in and just as you said, he gave it a strong yank and it opened. Was fine until this morning.

There’s a small manual lock mechanism on the sliding door frame that will/can lock your slider. It’s a push type lever.
Checked that a few times. Feels like it is hitting something just like as if that lock was in place.
B2B question on getting off boat after first sailing?

Thanks again. My thoughts exactly. We arrive at 6am and was planning on scheduling for 9am but they said since it is a private tour, they are flexible since they also realize nothing is etched in stone until on the ship.
