Travel agents have access to the reservations system.
Unfortunately, that is not correct. Travel agents only can see what a cruise line is offering and at this time, nothing until after 1/14/22. I think you are being given a line to keep you from cancelling. Numbers may end up being close but no way right now to get even any approximations.

My travel agent has already said my Anthem cruise for Jan. 9 is looking around 50% capacity now due to cancellations. Sounds good to me.
How does she know that? Royal is not releasing that I formation.

Once we get thru this next week of holiday sailings (new year eve cruises) the sailings should be back down to 50 or 60% capacity. At least I am hoping that for my Jan 9th sailing.
I do not see a shut down happening unless something severe happens.
Yes, there are islands turning ships away but there are others still allowing ships.
If they are able to continue rotating positive crew with the other 2 "ghost ships" that should help stop the spread among the crew and lower the number of cases onboard so ships can dock at various islands.
Hang in there we will all get thru this.
Love the positive attitude. We are hoping the best for our sailing next week.

We had to reschedule a cruise for last November due to non Covid medical reasons and because we made the change after 9/30, we lost double points.

Everything I heard and read is if you arrive early, you will stand and wait until your assigned time. Keep checking the available times that due to cancellations earlier times may open up.

We have been on all the Voyager class ships, deck 10 GS and very quiet. Grab it!

Why would you like an overnight there? It's a nice port during the daylight hours, granted, don't get me wrong. Aside from shops just off the pier within the terminal complex and a couple of outdoor bars I don't think the water taxi will be running into the night to go over to the few places that are barely surviving 10 minutes away.
A second day to enjoy the island would be better than an extra day at sea. Been there a number of times and know what we enjoy. Would be on the ship in the evening.

We did same back in late October and had the FCC in about 10 days. You should call and ask.

Did you cancel the drink and dinner packages before you canceled the cruise? If so, refunds are running around 2 weeks or less. If you just cancelled the cruise, you should call Royal. We did that the first time we cancelled a couple years ago and had to call to get our refunds. Now we cancel all purchases prior to cancelling the actual cruise itself.

As someone who wakes up too early(usually before 5), and a coffee snob- I must warn you, 75% of the time the super early morning coffee is not fresh, in my experience. I use cream, and that helps 🙂
I do agree. I always just hope to hit the right place at the right time. All of the many cruises we have done on Royal have all been on the Voyager or smaller classes so it was pretty easy to find the fresh coffee in the morning. On Allure it may be harder with all the venues.

Same, under 2 weeks.

We are on the sailing when you return. If we have to give up a port, wouldn't mind an overnighter in st Maarten.

We always print all confirmations just in case there are any glitches with viewing on our phones.

The time we took the test and the time shown on the results were the same.
Thanks.

We are looking at trying the ultimate dinning package for the first time. We know lunch is included on sea days, does this include embarkation day? Is it easy to make the reservations once we board the ship?
You should be able to make reservations online prior to boarding.

We did our test yesterday and the results showed the time we took the test. We live on the east coast. We used our cell phone.
What time did you take the test and what time is shown on your results? From previous posts appears it uses UTC time which is 5 hours ahead of us on the east coast.

The coffee in the suite lounge is good, it might be a little strong for some but a water take carry of that. I believe it is 24/7.
We usually book a Grand Suite but decided on a junior suite for this cruise. Am I correct that the junior suites do not have access to the suite lounge? I like my coffee stronger.

Absolutely! You can just do it yourself with no proctor. We had an extra one a number of months ago and my wife used it before she went to visit someone in the hospital just to be safe.

That will work perfectly. Holds phone tight and can face it from above so the proctor can see both you and the test at the same time. You also need to show your ID to the proctor so allows you to hold it up to the phone for their viewing.
-
We picked up an arm that clamps onto a table or desk on Amazon for around $15 so you can angle the phone almost as if you were doing a selfie. The proctor needs to see your face and your desktop at the same time. Be sure you get the type that grips the phone so you can angle it downwards.

Works the entire cruise as long as the ship can receive satellite communication.

Leaving Coco Cay now, captain just announced we're heading to St Thomas. I know that doesn't mean we'll actually dock there, but we're on our way.
Losing track of which poster is on which sailing. Are you on Allure? What is or was your itinerary?

95% is the requirement by CDC to not have had to do the test sailings before a ship was put back into service. Since Royal tends to families, they knew their percentage would fall far below that due to those 11 and under. The final percentage depends of course on how many unvaccinated kids are sailing and the holiday sailings I am sure have a considerable amount of kids compared to non-holiday/vacation periods throughout the year. I gather the exact percentages will never be disclosed.

eMed Covid tests - best time to take? laptop or phone?

This may not work since you need to have your camera facing downward from a higher level to catch both you and your test at the same time. I purchased an arm that connects to my desk and grips my phone.
