  1. The atrium coffee bar use to sell hot tea using Pyramid tea bags at $2.00 per bag. I suppose you could request them to pour it over ice. As pointed out, you can get ice tea at any restaurant or the buffet for free. O'Shehans is open 24/7.

Anyone has O'Shehans menu? Whats for breakfast or late dinner?

  2. Most shops are closed so it will mostly be restaurants and tourist sites that are open.

There will be some rallies called grundlovstale (constitution speak???) but they are mostly held in parks so they won't disrupt traffic.

I am planning to do Tivoli Garden and Netto Baden canal tour on June 5th. Are the restaurants and cafe shops usually opened this day? Also would you recommend some not expensive eateries around Wakeup Copenhagen Carsten?

  3. The tram is not a very good option for Vasa since you need to walk halfway to Vasa to get to the tram.

From Stockholm City station, bus 69 towards Blockhusudden or 76 towards Frihamnen/Ropsten. For both get off at Djurgårdsbron.

Commuter train Nynäshamn - Stockholm runs every 30 minutes on weekends as well. departure times are XY:19 and XY:49

looks like I got the same information from visit Stockholm page. If we do Vasa first, what would you suggest next? Gamla, City Hall with Malaren view and back to Stockholm City train station route perhaps?
  4. Interesting...just went to My NCL, clicked on Explore and Plan, and then chose Stockholm (under the Filter By section). It shows NO excursions. I can click on every other port and excursions show up.

I wonder if that means they are loading up the excursions that are usually available from Nynashamn.

probably changing praising, I noticed that as well. Used to be 77 in total and now 65!

  5. The ticket sale at the airport is closed so you need to use the ticket machines instead.

A single ticket ticket costs 89 kroner but you can buy a Øresund familie ticket that is valid for 2 adults and 3 children (under 16) and that costs you 144 kroner, so it will save you 34 kroner.

Its possible to buy both as return tickets, just double the price.

Just remember to bring your passport as there is stil a "temporary" border control in operation, you just get off the train in Hyllie and reboard the train againafter you have showed your passport.

    thank you very much!

  6. Hi, you do not need separate tickets. The trams, like the trains and buses, are part of the local transport system.

These tickets are also valid on the cross river ferry from Warnemünde to Höhe Dune but not on the boat between Warnemünde and Rostock which is a privately operated river cruise.

    Happy cruising :)

Hello Anni! What the best way for a group of 8 get from Warnemunde to Rostok? You mentioned a group train tickets in one of your reply. Thank you in advance!

  7. It get excellent reviews on TripAdvisor so I think you have made a good choice.

Only downside is that its located next to the construction of the pedestrian/bicycle bridge Lille Langebro.

The foundation work is done and that its probably the noisiest part of the construction.

The bridge deck or what they are called in english is lifted in place during the spring and early summer but that should a job without any big noise.

I anything it will be a spectacular sigth to see :D

Thank you so much for your reply! I was wandering about transportation, saw the bus stop nearby, but could not figure out its rout and number(it was in Danish).Looking forward to some pleasant walking to Nyhavn, Christiania, Amalienborg and Tivoli!
  8. Lille Langebro as it is called is scheduled to open this fall and the fundation work is done now.

Now they wait for the bridge deck to be shipped from Holland.

All tourist sites and restaurants is open on June 5th its only shops that are closed.

My favourites are Glyptoteket, the zoo and of course Tivoli.

But what do you want to see, art museums or castles?

I was thinking to do Tivoli on the 5th, NY Glyptotek is closed that day. Also want to see castles, take a walking tour and food tour as well. I booked CPH Living for now. Your opinion about this hotel?

  9. Merry Christmas and a happy new year here from Køge south of Copenhagen (if we don't get in touch before.)

My new plans for this thread is of course to open a new 2018 thread with new and updated info on taxi, train/bus prices ( if there are any) and timetables and docking information.

I will make a new photo guide yo bus and trains to and from Ocean and upload the new pictures to Flickr.

The reason that my pictures doesn't show anymore is that Photobucket now charges 399$ each year to let me post my pictures on sites like this.

How is a new Langebro bridge contraction going? I was thinking to book CPH Living but wondering about the noise. Also, June 5 is Danish Constitution day and it is one of the two full days in Copenhagen we have. Whats open that day? Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!
