  1. As of today, if you book on board, it is $36 for a shampoo and blow dry, $60 for a mani, $85 for a pedi, and $165 for a 50 minute standard Bali massage. We pre-purchased a package months before sail, and it came out to about $55 per treatment - massages, body treatment, facial). Well worth it to book ahead! The spa is very nice.

  2. I’m in YC now. Food is good, but not all excellent. We are still enjoying everything very much! So far must haves: risotto (agree eroller), lasagna (had this in the buffet), prosciutto and salami with cheeses, gelato, crepes (don’t miss these by the far aft pool area), coffee at Venchi. Otherwise nothing has stood out as “can’t miss”. There are some nice sparkling cocktails at the Champagne Bar, and the frozen drinks are all good. Some things, like whipped cream and some desserts, are not as sweet as we are used to - but we are low carb in real life so we really like that!

  3. I’ll ask Arthur if he will be here in July. He is young, not what we expected! He is funny and full of energy. He steers you to what’s good on the menu. The food is good to very good, but not outstanding. It’s the service and atmosphere that really make dinner special.

At the end of the night, there are dried fruits and chocolates waiting for you in the lounge. We have been spending most of our days in the YC, enjoying the pool and service. We pop out during the day to explore and stop for gelato and crepes. The ship does not seem crowded anywhere, though drink service is slower. Everyone looks to be having a lot of fun!7965cb11ae9075814c23f80642749a80.jpg7b9f4edb8a08faea97d6938686287ac4.jpg

  5. We have an inside YC cabin, 16035. It is small, but really not too bad. There are now two chairs in the room. We could use more drawers and shelves, but we brought magnetic hooks and making good use of those on the walls. It’s nice and quiet and the bed is firm and very comfortable.

  6. When you board, you sit down with the dining manager and talk about times. You CAN eat whenever you like, but they suggest early (5:45 or 6) or later (8 ish) for the best experience.

Shows you must book on your own, but it is very easy using one of the big touchscreens that are everywhere.

Lots of people ate in the dining room for lunch, but we were very hungry and so chose the buffet!

  7. We prebooked the Golden Jasmine for couples. Booking it a few months ahead was a great deal - 2 massages, one scrub treatment and one facial for two people - for $550. Price jump to almost $1000 2 weeks ago, and I bet is even more once on board.

  8. I think these posts will be sporadic, but I’ll try to post at least once or twice a day. We were escorted on board with small group of other happy travelers. Our cabin was not ready, so we headed to the spa to book the times for our massage package. I recommend doing this first thing if you have a package.

We then went to the Top Sail lounge and arranged for an 8 pm table for 2 in Arthur’s section - can’t wait to meet him as everyone in these boards say he is so personable. We are eating at the YC pool grill. It is a small selection, but very nice. As others have said, salad is not the strong suit, but there is some, and also fruit. The beef tenderloin here is not overdone, and there are lamb chops and a nice looking pasta dish. Service so far has been excellent, and with smiles.

  9. Here we are! Champagne in hand in the YC terminal waiting room. All very smooth so far. We arrived at 11:45 and a butler took care of most paperwork. First impressions: nice staff, several kids playing - that’s fine with us - we will bring ours later this year!34759b6ad228914ef827a0e6d4b44d6a.jpg

  10. MSC, if you read these posts, you should know you have a really great customer service agent working your phones. Veronica was a huge help today, fixing a mistake and saving a lot of grief regarding some prepaid packages that were incorrectly booked. We have worked with others who were not very helpful, but Veronica was patient, professional, and made things right.

If you are able to request an agent, ask for her.

  11. Do you get to schedule the 4 treatments at different times or is it one appointment with 4 treatments?

    I think it’s 4 different appts! I’ll know in 2 weeks.
