Has anyone used the infirmary to monitor their BP? Any cost? Recall their hours are very limited, so guessing it's not really a practical option. Hate to pack a cuff for just a couple readings.

Stay at 4 Seasons (HAL booking), and wondering how the morning shuttle to the ship is handled. Specifically what time do we have to get bags down, and is there timely breakfast options locally?
TIA

We all love the bread pudding, but what else is your go-to, must have item... breakfast, lunch, entrees or deserts.

If you mix colors in the bag, do they (HAL) launder them as one batch? Any risk of whites coming back pink?

Just off Vista FH inside 2452. As this was a guarantee book, we feared being seniors in FH would be a problem. It was not. Kid around, yes, but beyond typical hallway noise, the cabin-cabin noise was zero. I think they improved soundproofing, at least in these room.
The FH lounge was great. We could get coffee 24/7 and the easy access to the breakfast buffet & afternoon snacks saved us the turmoil of going up to Lido. Hostess and helpers were well equipped to handle the kids (and demanding parents).
Observation that impressed me greatly was a young mother with a fussy newborn using the semi private area of the lounge to nurse and calm her baby. Hubby may have not realized how lucky he was, sleeping peacefully in the cabin.

We're doing Keto and this cruise will be a test of our commitment. Have a idea that buffet will be our Go To place, but Anniversary dinner will be in steakhouse.

Wonder how you thought the AC temperature was in the evening. My wife often thinks it's freezing in the showrooms and various lounges. Hot, cold or just right?
BTW, loved your reports! We board next Sunday, so your input was very informative.

We were also onboard with Bill and wish I didn't have to totally agree with all the serious issues that we all experienced. I think the huge disappointment for many of us was that this IS NOT typical of a HAL cruise!
On the plus side, the Crows Nest is still the relaxing lounge we all love. The expanded library/Explorer Cafe was very pleasant and the book selection was vast. In fact all the lounge/public areas were fresh and inviting.
One last negative observation... dirty windows! I never saw the windows sprinklers come on, and for sure no outside washing. And yes, Crows Nest window frames still leak.
Dissapointing, yes. Done with HAL, never.

FYI, might want to bone up on Spanish, as we've had difficulty identifying what the products actually were. Some are in English, but many are not.

There is an entrance to the port off Eller St. Used mainly for commercial traffic, I think.
Wondering if we can use it to avoid boat show traffic on 17th street.
Anyone ever used that entrance?

We're planning on using the port parking and had a couple newbie questions.
1) do we need any documents to get through security at port entrance?
2) should I drop off DW with luggage or just hand off bags to porters?
3) for HAL, which building should I park in, and is it an easy walk to pier access?
4) on return if we can carry/roll our bags, is doing that preferable to getting car and driving around?
Thanks for the assistance.

... I am prone to seasickness on small boats so I'm wondering if anyone has anything to add regarding the ferry to St. John. Is it in large open water where it can be rough?
It can be rough crossing over. Lots of splashing and wave thumping the hull, but not rock-n-rolling that made anyone sick. Going over in the morning was rougher than the afternoon return trip. Just take a pill, or whatever works for you, and be prepared to enjoy a wonderful time on St. John.

@Kamloops50 - thanks for feedback, makes it much less viable than I had thought.

For our post cruise, I was thinking perhaps renting in Vancouver, then driving down to SEATAC, sightseeing in route, might work out for us.
Question being, is that legal and economical?

Looking for a full spa, with couples massage. Not looking for beach/tent. Any suggestions? We have done ship board treatments, but the up-sell environment has made them anything but relaxing.

I would recommend the 'sideways' inside cabins on the Riviera deck. their layout makes them seem larger. EM
We're booked in R507 (one of the sideways cabins) on the Crown for Easter cruise. We're aware that there is a pool above - so we'll see if that's an issue. Other ppl have said the hallway noise of the sideways entry was more noticeable.. "your mileage my vary".

The OP mentioned seeing ship personnel walking over to the Resort.
Is this possible/advisable?

Just to get this right in my "right" brain;
Did y'all book via the JamaicaForaDay web site,
or directly with SunsetResortJamaica ?
Thanks for clarification

On the June 6th sailing the ship on the first night had great sale on Johnny Walker Black Label, but it was for 4 bottles, that was 2 over the limit for Texas residents.
I found the best price in Grand Cayman @ the Torgura Rum Cake Shop. I bought 2 bottles for $9 each of Mount Gay rum. Other shops in Grand Cayman were selling it for $10.50 each
Suspect I'll shop in GC, thanks for the suggestions. Have read you have to allow shore side shop a couple hours to package and forward the liquor to the ship. Figure to shop early, then bus to 7-Mile beach for sun, then close out day at M'ville. :)

Is the limit of 1 liter/adult enforced when returning into Galveston?
Is it cheaper to buy from the Duty Free ship board store, or a DF shop in Grand Cayman?

Would a recent Conquest guest please let us know what the major productions shows are. A copy of the Fun Times entertainment section would be a god send.

Bought a small wrest cuff monitor. Readings are compareable to bigger upper arm machine. Good to go!
