  1. Fudge - thank you for taking us along. Luv your daily posts! Enjoy!
  2. FLgemini - totally agree!!!!!!
  3. tv24 Absolutely agree - both Molton Brown and Seabourn - after our first Seabourn cruise - there was no going back to the mainstream lines 😂
  4. This post makes me smile... after our first Seabourn cruise we became instant fans of Molton Brown bath products....it is one of the little splurges we continue to this day 😂. It helps having a Molton Brown outlet near us and we always watch for their on-line sales. My wife just shakes her head at me and says "we are spending how much for a bar of soap" 🤣 and shower gel ?!?!? its the little things in life that make all the difference.
  5. Wondering if this "sale/sail" was meant for the "real" Black Friday and that it was supposed to be released/available on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and they just got all the dates and release mixed up?
  6. skybluewaters received the email as well...curious what the offer(s) will be..... assume reduced deposits and maybe category upgrades? have to get on a sailing for next year...its been tooo long!
  7. Thank you both ! Will post when I can next week - always like to pay it forward for those boarding in the upcoming weeks / months!
  8. TY Mr Luxury - appreciate your feedback (and I recall you posting very positively during your sailing). I agree - always take comments and postings w/ a grain of salt but one never knows in the current environment if issues suddenly arise on a sailing for a reason. 3 more days of work till our first true vacation in almost 3 years !
  9. We are boarding on Sunday and several postings on Seabourn Sailors grp on FB are not very positive in terms of staffing. Strange because I have not seen any negative postings about the Encore...at all on CC. Would luv to hear from anyone currently on board. Bob from NY
  10. Thanks sfvoyage Totally agree with your comments from what I have viewed and read so far. Thinking for certain itineraries an expedition line is the way to go to be able to really get out there and make the most of the ports. While we luv the upscale experience on Seabourn (and are so looking forward to be getting away and back on board to simply relax and see new parts of the world)...if we have the opportunity we may try a sailing on Hurtigruten.
  11. Fellow Seaborn guests... I know the lines are VERY different..but may have the opportunity to sail on Hurtigruten next year Would love your perspective, observations and candid experience. Having sailed on Seabourn right before the pandemic and looking forward to boarding again in 15 days!!!!!.. from day one on our first sailing my wife and I looked at each other and both said there is no going back to a mainstream line....and that was after our first sailing on Seabourn! TY! Bob
  12. thanks Bruce...keep the positive vibes and photo's coming. 24 days......till we board.
  13. TY Bruce and Mr Luxury...one less thing to worry about (at this point...but always subject to change I know !) Bob
  14. Flamin Jane thank you for the link - looks like we will not need to test for our upcoming sailing out of Italy visiting the Adriatic (including ports in Greece). Was thinking because we were stopping in 4 Greek ports and ending in Athens we would need to test prior to boarding but as of now does not appear so
  15. Bruce4fun Thank you for posting. Boarding in 25 days so thrilled to see someone posting who is currently on-board Encore. QQ about testing - are you visiting ports in Greece on this sailing and if so what were the testing requirements if any? From Seabourn app - testing required if you are embarking in a port in Greece but what if you are stopping in ports in Greece? Seems self explanatory I know...but just want to be sure 😉 Keep the reports coming when you can - most importantly enjoy your cruise ! thank so much Bob
  16. Retired and CanAm....the health consciousness for breakfast and dinner IS to balance out the martini's and wine 😂🤣
  17. Thank you Asquare and Johng Boarding for a med cruise in 43 days..so hoping the weather is pleasant enough to be able to sit outside (patio) in the morning and for some E&O dinners in the evening... our second Seabourn sailing and we can't wait to be back on board
  18. Even on vacation I/we try to stick to somewhat of a routine - exercise wise and eating / drinking I have seen some dailies posted that reflect a morning stretch class - are they a daily standard offering each morning throughout the fleet? and a somewhat (hopefully not) odd question - have to assume smoothies of some sort of another but is kombucha available on board ? thinking at the "healthy" morning options they rolled out recently? I know it's an unusual offering/request and would be surprised if they did offer/have on board but thought I would ask. thanks!
  19. was just going to ask about an Oct 9th sailing out of Venice (visiting 4 Greek ports) but will wait.....so much can and I am sure will change between now then then !
  20. shark b8 Will reiterate again - a big thank you for taking us all along these past few weeks. Please continue posting as you can - would luv to see the next installment of you adventure! and thoroughly agree .... that is the saddest photo of all 😔
  21. Just saw this as well on Cruise Industry News - wondering how quickly Carnival Corp brands will follow wow - I'm surprised...but at this point I guess we shouldn't be. All I know is I'll be more comfortable boarding in October if I have my 5th shot now.....of course there is still no guarantee that it will prevent infection...but anything I can do to prevent from getting it again...dodged it until May of this year
  22. Shark b8 After following you along....I so want to return to Alaska on a sailing. We were fortunate to do two Alaska sailings quite a few years ago on HAL before we discovered Seabourn. Now that we have discovered Seabourn ...the thought of Alaska + Seabourn is really enticing to us. thank you again (and I won't mention the weather 🤣!) Bob
  23. Isklaar - thank you - sounds like a plan for us 😆 Menus though limited look really interesting - and luv the fact they indicate dietary restrictions. Really hope the weather is favorable for us to enjoy a few nights there as an option. On our first Seabourn sailing right before covid we sailed with our good friends who did not find the menu's offered enough variety - my wife and I think they sound really interesting. Are the first three items considered "first course" followed by "second course" or are all 6 items entrees?
  24. we tend to eat later...meaning 8-830ish for those who have dined at E&O - do you typically "see" the tables turn-over over the course of the night? I would think no? since it only opens at 7...can't imagine after an hr/hr and a half people would be finished? Boarding encore in 2 months and hoping the evenings will lend themselves to this dining venue in the med the second week of Oct.
