We are sailing to Alaska in June returning on the 17th If we dock at 7:00 and book a return flight for 12:30 will that be a problem?
-
Where did you see John Heald will be the cruise director? We are on the June 9th Legend sailing and read where someone else will be the cruise director.
We are on the same trip!

Tea Time is always nice to do.
And, you will see people in the pool on that Alaska cruise
Not this boy! Lol
-
Thanks for the response. As a dip in the pool may not be appealing in Alaska I think tea time may be a fun activity.
-
Excuse me for jumping in with a different question. We will be a party of 11. Think we can all be at I table?
-
We sail to Alaska next June on the Legend and I thought on one of our sea days we might try Tea Time, providing it is offered. (Heaven forbid we go 30 minutes without eating). Has anyone every gone and can share information. Are reservations required? Dress up? Etc

Next June I, DE, DS, MIL, FIL SIL, niece, another niece and her husband, as well as nieces MIL and FIL are going to Alaska. I've always been the planner for our trips and thus far is the case on this trip. I have looked at a lot of excursions and when I select one for my immediate family I inform the others. Not so much to force them to go with us but just so they will know what we are doing and if they want to come along they are welcome. If they choose to do other activities, that is fine as well.
BTW I knew we would have dinner at least together, so I am planning to "spotlight" each couple or individual each night to recognize anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, etc. Every person will have a one of these within a month before or after the cruise so I thought it would be fun to have small table declarations for each evening. With 11 of us, I would think we would have a table to ourselves so this would not be a problem

Our trip is not until next June but will include two days pre- and one day after cruise. We are in the process do selecting a hotel, reading reviews, etc. but I wondered if anyone here has stayed at the Hampton Inn Southcenter and would share your experience.
-
I usually order it once.
Once, each dinner, that is!

We have one booked next summer on the Legend in Alaska. Most opinions love these for the scenery so I hope we enjoy it. Others in our group of 11 have regular balcony side cabins on the same deck (6) so if it becomes too much of a soot issue, we may join them on one of theirs!

Just booked ours for next summer to Alaska.

There was a beautiful video on YouTube showing a families Alaskan cruise. The video was over 30 minutes long and to be honest I did not recognize one song. She just used soft guitar music with maybe two or two other instruments. It was perfect! When I make my video after our trip last summer I will select the same type music

We will be packing rain gear with us for the trip. My take---even if less expensive in port, won't you get wet going from the ship to a shop? Not to mention the time factor. I had rather see Alaska, not inside a 7-11.

We had the same situation --11 of us going with ages ranging from 12 to 85. We are going on Carnival. We have sailed other lines as well as Carnival before but are hoping there will be enough activities on Carnivak for all ages, not just the mids to seniors. Of course the scenery will be the main attraction. We are also staying in Seattle for two days prior and one after the cruise.
-
BTW to the OP, we've visited your home state 4 times. It's not too bad for a vacation either!

Awesome review so far! We are taking the Legend next summer with our kids, so I'm loving your momma perspective. Your pics are beautiful. :)
Same here. We sail June 9th so I'm enjoying the review and the pictures are great! Ready for some more!!!

Frankly these aren't tours for everyone. I would strongly suggest you split up, and not even consider this "group together booking" idea.
Tours are too excellent to miss, if of interest, and a waste of time and money if no interest.
That being suggested, I have done all these routes. The Lake Bennett train is loaded with history, and nonstop scenery. For me, the time flies by. I'm on the tour again next week. :)
In May I was again on the combo Emerald Lake road trip with the Fraser train. (different vendors are being used this year). So a general comment.
I should mention that I do not tell the others"I selected this or that for us to do".
I am just a planner and read a lot of suggestions then choose what the three in my family are doing. Then when I tell the others their response is "oh that sounds good. I think we will do that too". I ALWAYS point out each of the other four families are of course free to choose other tours.
BTW the 85 year walks five miles a day so is ib GREAT shape!

We are doing the 8 hr. tour this August, they have a break for lunch and other built in stops for pics. You have a long time to plan so just keep tabs on these threads and I'm sure you'll do fine.

No problem checking these boards! I consider it homework and I just wish I had an idea of threads, trip reports and YouTube videos I have studied since we decided to go to Alaska!

We do not sail till next June but I am already trying to get plans in place even though some can't be booked till later this year
My main concern is which tour to take while in Skagway. We are a party of 11 ranging in ages from 12 to 85 I am the one making recommendations for each port and while I am leaning towards the 8 hour Bennett scenic tour which is a rail and bus combination. However, I worry that this may too long but if we take a shorter tour what would you suggest for the other hours while in Skagway? Due to the ages of the seniors boating, hiking, etc are not options.
Anyone been on the 8 hour tour and did you think it too long?

We also are going next June and have already booked our Harv and Marv whale watching tour. There will be 1 in our party and we wanted the larger boat so we have it booked.
As soon as the Chikhoot tours open up for next June (probably around October) we will book that as well.
Should have been "11" not "1" (talk about a private party). For some reason could not edit the post.

I debated on whether placing it there or here and opted for this forum since it was the Alaska port site. I may move if over if no responses

We will sail on the Legend next summer to Alaska but since the Miracle is now on that route, I was wondering if CCL offers hot chocolate through room service. We have an aft cabin and I would like to have some hot chocolate as we sit outside and watch the scenery.
How to add a guest to a reservation???
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We are booked for Alaaka in June 9th. It will be myself, DW and DS. There is now a good chance that his girlfriend may also be able to go so we may need to add her to our reservation. We will still have the same cabin so it will just be an addition to our room.
I looked on the Carnical site to see if their might be a FAQ dealing with this but could not find one and I am sure this has happened to someone on these boards. Can you share what steps we need to take to add her?
We already have FTTF for the cabin so I would hope she would be added to,that as well. Only one excursion has been booked but since we will be a party of 11 we already have a whale watching boat booked that holds 12 and that should not be a problem to add. All the others will be booked this month.
Anyway that probably TMI but thought I would include it.
