  1. We walked from Dockyard to Seaglass Beach on Monday. There is no sign (I think it was knocked to the ground) where you turn off the road to walk down into the woods. Also, as you walk through the woods to the beach, be prepared that it is sadly littered with lots of garbage, broken-down scooters, old motors, etc. There was so much garbage that I really thought we were on the wrong path.

Once we got to the beach, I couldn't believe how much glass there was. I can't stress how plentiful it is. It's like there's more glass than sand. I'll try to post a couple pictures later.

We were the only two people there (except for a local man working off to the side on his small boat). We waded around and filled up a couple Ziploc bags and my boyfriend had a quick swim.

It was a great private place to visit.

How long did it take you to walk there??? I can't wait! Were there interesting colours of glass at this beach?!?

  2. Per Courtney's email, the restaurant he recommends (neighbor's) is "The Mohogany Beach Bar & Grill."

This is the place we went to as well with Courtney...I would have rather somewhere else as well, it was a tourist trap. The food was very expensive as someone else noted. Someone tried to sell pot to my 16 year old in the gift shop. About the Cool Blue Hole, yes, there was a fellow there named Kevin, and he showed us the ropes of the place, then left us alone to sit among the rocks, swim, go under the falls. We tipped him $5 or something. I bought a Red Stripe beer from him for $4, which was probably a bit more than I should have paid, but it was beautiful there, and worth it to us!

  3. You will feel safe with Courtney....he stays with you at all times. The cool blue hole was amazing. The water was an amazing colour of blue, and it was quite cold, but very refreshing (we were there in February). We didn't do the river tubing, but I would prefer to do the Cool Blue Hole because it is almost a private place! We were the only ones there and could have stayed as long as we wanted! There are waterfalls that you can swim behind, you can sit in the stream up above and enjoy the scenery...it is just beautiful! Try it, you will be glad you did!

  4. We used Courtney Taylor when we were on the Liberty in February. You are right, there are 3000 people getting off the ship in Ocho Rios...and you have to go through a building first, before you go out into the parking area. I was told the same thing, "just look for me, or ask for me by name"...I did just that, I told one of the 'security people' that I was looking for Courtney, and they phoned him and told him we were there. We waited about 10 minutes, and then were lead out into the masses of people to where Courtney was waiting for us. He is awesome. He is friendly and knows alot about his island. He will take you where you want, when you want and you can stay at those places for as long as you want. He took my family of 5 and we were with him the entire time we were there, and could not have been more satisfied! Enjoy your day with him, you will be glad you booked with him!
