Sailing on the Epic this December with an 18 year old. What is the age requirement to play in the casino? I can’t find any posts more current than three years with age info. Many thanks!!

We travel with pop up clothes hampers that we set in the closet and fill with dirty clothes throughout the week. At the end of a trip, DH places the full hamper into a suitcase and zips it shut. Once home it’s easy-peasy laundry. The ones we are using right now were found at a Dollar Store. They fold into a disc shape when not in use.

Just reading that the BA class ships have made the Haven sundeck a kid-free area... We are on the EPIC Christmas week with a 16 year old. Has this age limit been set on the EPIC yet?

Has anyone done this tour in the afternoon? We arrive on the NCL Epic at noon so would have to do a 1:30PM pick up with a 5:30PM return... all aboard is 6PM. I think this time makes me uncomfortable.. has anyone been on a tour shorter than 4 hours?

Can anyone give me a recommendation for a good starter set of packing cubes? I am a chronic over-packer and would like to give a set a trial on a trip to Las Vegas for a convention the end of this month. We are cruising again at Christmas so this is a good time to try them out before purchasing a set for each family member. There are soooo many to choose from. What basic sizes are best and which ones are hardly used.... Thanks for the help!

We are about to switch to a Christmas week sailing on the Epic in a 2 bedroom Haven suite. Excited about all the extra outdoor space on this ship. Is there a smoking area in one of these pool areas that would blow to our deck that we should plan for? We love to sit outside on our deck and will choose port or starboard if there is a smoking section on the sun decks above the Haven that we should be aware of. Thanks!

Are reservations recommended for port parking at Port Canaveral for a Christmas week cruise? We have never rented a car and parked for the week but this is a better deal than renting twice (two one way rentals) as we are flying in and out of PBI. We prefer to park at the port, not off site. Any info is appreciated. For what its worth, we are sailing on the NCL Epic.

We have decided to use TriRail from PBI to MIA due to the crazy high rental car rates for December (holiday time). I'm slightly nervous, is this a totally reliable option? We will plan to use it both ways as we are flying in and out of PBI and cruising out of POM. Brightline is showing sold out for our dates although I will continue to check to see if this changes. We are flying in too late to purchase TriRail tickets at a kiosk the night before we need to ride so will have to do that the morning we need to ride, a Saturday. Does TriRail fill up where we should plan to take an earlier train than we would like, just to make sure we get seats? There will be four of us and at least four suitcases...

Also, my husband was wondering if it is easier to get off a stop or two before we get to MIA and Uber from there to avoid the airport congestion?

Brightline is sold out for our December dates, unfortunately.

Any recommendations for a nice hotel for one night in December. We arrive late the night before sailing. Will drive to POM the next morning. Need three sleeping areas (beds &/or pull out sofa), we do not sleep our kids together.

We are sailing out of POM 12/22/18. We will fly into PBI late the night before. Our plan is to stay in that area and then drive to POM Saturday morning, departure day. If we rent a car at the PBI airport, is it best to return it to the airport in Miami versus a location closer to port? Does either return option offer a shuttle to POM? There will be four of us and luggage.

On the return, we again depart PBI but later in the afternoon. While we will not be rushed, we do need a plan in place for a rental car... again, better to rent at the Miami airport? What is the option from POM to get back to the airport (or other rental location, ? shuttle)

Can anyone share comparisons on the Haven experience on the Epic versus the Getaway? We’re looking to sail over Christmas and are looking at the Bliss in connecting balconies (haven at 24K is outside our budget) or the Epic in the Haven 2 bedroom. We have previously sailed the Getaway in the Haven 2 bedroom. Can we expect the Epic experience to be the same or is this an add-on set up on an older ship? Thoughts appreciated!

Does anyone know what the bump out area outside rooms 9154 & 9156 on the Bliss deck plan is? Considering these two rooms for Alaska, are these lifeboats or an obstruction of some sort?

We were in San Juan in 2014 on Christmas Day. Part of our group did a ship tour (RCCL) up to the fort but could not go in due to it being closed. DH and I shopped in port with our children and virtually everything was open. If I recall, we were not the only ship in port that day either. I have read on here that the Bacardi factory has been closed on Christmas Day as well.

Thanks for the input. Considering we've never been in the Haven before...would you spring the extra couple grand to get the Haven and it's perks for all or just do the minis this trip and save the Haven for the next cruise with just the wife and I?

Always go for the Haven if possible. [emoji4]. Our teens loved it-fantastic experience on the Getaway.

Printing our paperwork and luggage tags for Oasis this upcoming weekend. We are traveling with two teens in an adjoining room, reservations are linked. One set sail pass has all four of us listed with the bar code to our reservation, the kids' reservation shows both kids completed on screen but only the oldest is on the set sail pass??? Do I need to print this second room's set sail pass or will the one with all four of us be sufficient and someone will figure out we are in two rooms on two separate reservation numbers? For what its worth, luggage tags are available for both rooms.

We are scheduled to sail on RCCL 11/19, flying into Orlando this upcoming Saturday, 11/18. My son has injured his knee, requiring surgery. We meet with the surgeon tomorrow to schedule this. Insurance purchased through USAA, Travel Insured. I believe this falls under the cancellation reason but am wondering what the process is for reimbursement for Southwest airline tickets. We do not want 4K in credit to use with Southwest. Are insurance companies able to reimburse this airfare as with any other airline in lieu of Southwest giving us their standard credit to use within the year?

Our two teens are in an adjoining balcony on an upcoming Oasis sailing. Does anyone know how to complete their online waivers without a parent/guardian in the same room? I keep getting this message... anyway around this? Reservations are linked but online forms only show the guests per room.

We are booked and paid in full on a November Oasis sailing in two connecting balconies-adults in one room, two teens in other room. Do we have the option to upgrade to a grand suite and connecting balcony? We do not have any OBC but did receive the 50% off second guest in each room. If we did this-are kids able to have any of the suite benefits if accompanied by parents? Thanks for sharing any knowledge or experiences.

Can anyone help with what nights are formal nights on this 7 day sailing in November? Starts with 2 sea days, three port days and then a sea day. Thanksgiving on Thursday has us departing at 2 pm so I'm wondering if this would be the second formal night??? Trying to make specialty dining reservations ahead of time. Also, I know this is a best guess situation as all of our currently scheduled ports have been compromised by Hurricane Irma, mostly just wondering if Thanksgiving is a formal night. Hoping we can still visit at least one of these ports to hopefully assist in their recovery in some way.

Considering an October 2017 cruise on the Allure with DD and my mom. We have never been on one of these sized ships but DD has a school break so thinking of something fun for a girl's trip. Would a D1 room be ok with three of us? DD would be on the sofa bed, she's 13, and the other bed split into two. We have never had more than two in a room, kids are usually in an adjoining room so not sure about storage for three ladies. Dining, early seating is waitlisted which is our preference as mom doesn't like to eat late. If we select MTD, what is the process for making reservations? Can it be done online before we depart or is that only available for specialty restaurants and shows? If available, is it at the 90 day mark? What is the likelihood that we would get off the waitlist for the early seating? Does it ever happen?

Open to any other suggestions or thoughts about this potential trip. Thanks!

We were on the Regal last week and enjoyed two sea days in a Sanctuary cabana. One day was perfect with little breeze (almost hot with no air moving) and the other day was super windy but not as bad as on the main pool deck. The area is enclosed with clear panels which help some. It was fantastic regardless and very relaxing. We booked on board the first day before the muster drill with no problem.

Does Princess have online specialty dining reservations like NCL and RCCL? We sail on the 15th and I can't seem to find anything but shore excursions in our online profile. Am

I missing it or is this something we have to do once we board??
