  1. Considering Getaway out of Miami in Nov. 2016. We need three beds for our family of four since we don't sleep our kids together. Does the family suite have three beds or just 2? Another option we thought of was Haven aft with a connecting balcony... Anyone have thoughts on these two options? Kids will be 16 and 13 at that time. Are forward Haven balconies useable when sailing or are they too windy?

  2. We're in Grand Cayman in November 9 am - 5 pm. Aquarius cannot accommodate us with those port times. Looking for another recommendation other than a RCL excursion. Its DH, myself, DS 15 and DD 12. Hoping to get on a boat with fewer people, not a crammed one with 40 people. Thanks!

  3. We are in St. Kitts next week. I have emailed their resort inquiring about reservations for a beach day. No response. I just called and their phone number is disconnected, website won't load either. Does anyone know what is going on with them?? We'd love to plan our day there but don't want to go without a reservation and waste taxi fare to nowhere. Any place comparable for a family beach day?

  4. Can anyone familiar with FLL offer info on where the new Residence Inn is on Anglers Ave, Dania Beach? We have reservations there for one night Dec.19th. We need a Marriott brand as one party in our group has points for their stay. Our family is traveling with my mother and needs an additional bed space, that's how we ended up with Residence Inn. Now I'm looking at the area and there is NOTHING around as far as dining and grocery or convenience stores… Can anyone recommend a Marriott brand closer to amenities within walking distance as we are not planning on renting a car. Or, can we get by with another option for dinner that night??? We need two rooms with at least three beds.. Right now our reservation is $276 for a 2 room suite which fits our needs perfectly except for lack of amenities in the area.. Thanks!

  5. Do all RCCL ships have this option? We are a large group traveling in December on IOS. One group mistakenly booked earlier than noon flights out of FLL. They are hoping to carry off their luggage and catch a taxi.

  6. We are on the Christmas cruise with RCI Independence of the Seas. We are a party of 7, including two young teens. What are the per person limits on these cabanas? They are available online and I can book if I can make it work for our group. Also, is there a better beach setting where we could rent chairs and umbrellas and just walk into the ocean? We are looking for a relaxing beach day at this port, sand and a great view would be a bonus.

  7. We have OBC for our upcoming December cruise on the Indy. Can I remove the auto gratuities in our current charges and apply the OBC once we are onboard? If we want to make reservations for specialty dining, do we have to wait until we're onboard to use the OBC for the cost or can it be done ahead of time? Also, we are set up with late seating for dinner. What dining rooms are for fixed seating? Thanks for any info you can share.

  8. Our family will be overnighting pre-cruise 12/19/14. We are flying into Miami and will rent a car to drive to FLL. Is there a rental car drop off close to port? In Port Canaveral we rented with Budget and they took us to the port after we returned our car. Pick up when we return will also very needed to get a car to drive back to Miami. Great priced first class tickets into Miami are making this more difficult! Right now our hotel reservations are at the new Residence Inn, opening in October.

  9. We are booked for a Christmas cruise on the Indy this December. We are a group of 7. We took My Time Dining at time of booking. I am wondering if it is easier to go with a set time instead due to the size of our group. Previously we our immediate family cruised, getting a table for 4 alone during My Time wasn't a problem with no wait, but is a larger group harder? If we switch to a set time, will our table be just the 7 of us?

  10. So, DH decided today we should cruise for Christmas this year. We just returned from Alaska on NCL. Our first and last time with them... Our kids were bored on NCL, but it was a family trip so had to go. So many things were so, so bad on that trip. Never again! We did Freedom for New Year's 2013 and had a great time. Our kids loved the ice skating, Flowrider, etc. How is Christmas at sea? Seems to be more cabin availability for the 12/20 vs. 12/28 cruise... Is Christmas less popular? We looked at Disney but can get 2 balconies for 8 nights, pre-cruise hotel, rental car & first class air for the cost of 1 balcony & 1 interior on DCL. So, back to RCL it is. Any advice for making a great Christmas cruise? Kids will be 11 & 14 this time. Thanks!
