how do you reach NCL if you dont want (or can not) call them?

I am just off the NCL Dawn from Mauritius to South Africa and this was by a wide margin the worst cruise I've been on (out of like 30+ cruises).

literally everything from check-in, the cruise itself, immigration, all shore excursions and the debarcation were horrible cluster fu*ks.

somebody needs to be held accountable for this... but it seems NCL makes sure the only contact details public are US phone numbers

Recently Royal Caribbean emailed me about a free cruise thanks to my casino play. then I was wondering if I could get a free cruise with NCL as I played a lot more with them.

so I emailed CAS: apparently I have ~7000 points and can take a "free" ocean view cruise up to 10 days (first they email just my point count and after I asked about the "Exciting Promotional Offers" they answered with the free up-to-10-days ocean view cruise)

but 7000 points is just Pearl and wouldnt even come with free drinks while playing on a cruise I paid for.

am I missing something here or am I just a sucker NCL likes to have on board?

for RCL and Carnval there seem to be clear rules when a free cruise is awarded but I didnt find anything on the NCL homepage (beside the link posted above)

I was on the Odyssey in July when I reached the 140 milestone, filled out the form and received the block about 2 months later via UPS mail (I live in Europe, it was UPS'ed from a Florida adresse)

I neven won more than 10k, but below 10k I can confirm: RCL, NCL, Carnival, Cunard, HAL and Princess just give you cash in USD

this is becoming a joke.

I was booked on the Jade south africa round trip in january 2022 and even after all the bonus FCC and  bonus discounts and all the stuff NCL mentionens in their email that will sum up to 4000$ in bonus... if I rebook the same cruise in 2023 it will cost more than twice the 2022 price (after all bonus discounts were applied)

I was booked on the NCL Getaway from Rom August 20th and there was an error message on the NCL homepage for days when I tried to do the final payment.

asked my NCL travel agent today about it and she confirmed that the cruise is cancelled (only talking about Getaway Aug 20th sailing) and an email will be send out shortly (not sure if shortly is hours, days, or weeks)

due to the incredible bad handling of Royal Caribbean of the Corona virus situation in Asia and canceled cruises I am stuck with Future Cruise Certificates for Royal Caribbean.

is it possible to use an RC FCC to book an Azamara Club cruise?

So they already know part of the financial hit. Goodwill is ok but they also have a duty to their stock holders to minimize the losses.

Royal Caribbean shared were on alltime high in December and have only slightly lost since. shareprice today is about the same as early December before the Corona thing

I did south america a couple years ago with Holland America and went on a HAL shore excursion to see Pengiuns on Falkland.

and in Punta Arenas Chile I did a shore excursion with soloexpediciones.com to Magdalena island. there were a lot of penguins (make sure it's not the last cruise of the season; in March they had plenty of penguins in April they have mostly migrated north).

back in 2014 HAL used the same company to offer their own shore excursion in the morning for the price X. in the aftenoon the company ran their independent tour for half the price (you had to take a taxi to their office in punta arenas; but even with just one person in the taxi the excursionwas way cheaper then HAL's)

on the Cunard floorplan it looks like the KC staerooms (Solo ocenview) are directly next to the casino  - the door opens staight into the casino floor. No walls or divider inbetween.

is that really the case? I didnt finy any pictures of this online.

if you go to Jordan and dont visit Petra dont need to go there in the first place ;)

you can not take an motorized vehicle through the Sig but the local or ambulance can get into Petra throug another way; if you check google maps a little north of the Winged Lion Temple is a parking lot.
