Yes. If your cruise is paid for or not you need to call them. There might be a 50 penalty for changing it to another cruise or putting the credit as a future cruise credit it's worth not having it all. Right?

Yes I get entirely to paternal, must remember "not my circus not my monkeys" If worst comes to worst she and her Mom may get put off ship. I will not feel guilty leaving them behind...I worked hard for this trip, and did not come to baby sit.
Absolutely. Enjoy your cruise...as long as everyone looks after everyone in their party and takes note of unusual happenings everything will be okay.

"Relaxed" as in "boring"?
Absolutely. I like all the hustle and bustle. :)

I called him back but it went straight to voicemail. I left a message for him. Should I talk to someone else?
Absolutely they probably have it on your account until you decline it.

I just looked it's not the same. I will look before my next cruise.

A couple of years ago I won 750. on the Green Back Bucks slot machine and that is the most I have ever won. I'm not much of a gambler and don't really know what I'm doing. It seems when I use my S & S card in the machine I never when.

Some of our best drinks have been at the Alchemy bar. We are very much looking forward to our next cruise so we can have another.

They categories have to match. The decks do not matter.

I'm platinum and my next cruise will be the first under the new format. I'm afraid it will be less fun than when golds were included. I loved the raucous, free-for-all attitude of it. That's fun to me. I'm envisioning a more intimate lounge with only platinums and diamonds to be much more "relaxed."
Does anyone have any firsthand comparisons?
Yes, our last cruise was the first one for us with no golds. The group was so small they had it in a lounge. It was a completely different atmosphere and very much relaxed. :/

We like to drop off items in our cabin and scope out our dining room table to see if it will work. Then get a drink and lunch.

I keep thinking we are going to try it some day.

Heading on our first cruise where we will be travelling without a group. Dinner in the MDR has always been the highlight of our day. When booking we selected a table for 6 which means we will be with 4 strangers and are a bit apprehensive about this. Just wondering what experiences others may have had in a similar situation. Thanks
We have had some wonderful experiences and have become friends with some. We like to visit with people from different areas. There are times we have asked to be separated just for some alone time.

I love my pizza. Some ships have great pizza, while others forget it. I judge my pizza by asking myself, if the pizza was in a pizzeria near me, would I stop in to buy it. How is the pizza on the breeze? Matt
It's been awhile since we have been on the Breeze but from what I can recall it was good.

Just posting an update about our booking with Spencer...it's a go! :D The confirmation email was sent, twice, and we just never received it. They thought there may have been computer issues on their (Spencer's) end, but seeing as how others received their confirmation emails, we're beginning to think the problem is on our end. There was a "microsoft update" about a month and a half ago that really messed up our computer, requiring a new modem and a lot of work on DH's part. We have heard from Spencer himself and their website administrator and both confirmed we are booked for that date. We had such a great time on the "Jalousie Beach Break" last time and are really looking forward to the Land & Sea tour.
We did the land and sea tour with Spencer this past May. Spencer could not make it that day he had a court hearing from someone vandalizing his boats. He sent his daughter in his stead who was extremely nice with several other mates. When we arrived at the dock for the beach lunch an older gentleman, who refused to take his shoes off before getting in the boat when asked, fell in between the dock and the boat. It was absolutely horrible. Tour guests that had already gotten off the boat were trying to keep the boat from crushing the man against the dock. The mates on the ship unfortunately were not the size of our average American husbands and could not lift him back in after the tour guests got him up. The boat pulled away, too far for the tourist guest to help further and it took them 6-8 times to pull him in as he was on the rail of the boat.
In the meantime, Spencer's daughter called a halt to the unloading at this dock that they were trying out and had taxis drive us to the lunch break at the beach. Spencer was notified immediately from his daughter and was there at the beach waiting for the man. After lunch he personally escorted us back. I never found out the end results but when your told to take off your shoes they mean take off your shoes.
Spencer was a very up and up guy, takes his job seriously and wants everybody to have a good time.
Enjoy your time with him. Be careful of the high dock when exciting this boat. Where it is located the waves are rough. If someone is giving you hand take it.

Just wondering what item you took that was really useful/helpful/fun/necessary/out of the ordinary that you would reccomend to others to make their cruise better?
Tape and a fan. I soooo missed this on my last cruise.

Hi,
I am thinking of booking on the Valor but wanted to know if you can open the doors between balconies?
Thank you.
Yes you can.

52 days till we sail. Yeah!!!

We earmark a certain amount for the bar for the week, the purchases will come from the bar cash first if we purchase something from bar or coffee specialty shop, so it is very easy to track that. We also prepay tips and of excursions so the cash we put on our sign and sail acct is for purchasing everything else. The cruise bar cash (or any other cruise cash) is use it or lose it so we want that to come off of acct first. Cash put on S & S acct is returned at end of trip if not used.
For us it is just an easy way to make sure we have everything covered.
Wow sounds like a great idea.

We have fttf, so we plan to drop bag, slip into something comfy and go find where we buy Cheers...we will be on the Triumph, lido deck, where should we head? Also, do I need to take a credit card to pay for it or does it get charged to S&S card? Thanks!
You buy them at the bar. I think depending on the port you have to buy the second day. I'm sure someone will chime in and say which ones. Have fun.

So glad to hear your cruise was nice. We are leaving in a week and can't wait. :):):)

Normally you pay for shore excursions at the time they are booked.

DH and DS ate there and loved it. I wish it was on all ships.

Thank you for your excellent review. We are going in a couple of weeks and are really looking forward to it. Can't wait! :)

LOL....wait for it.
I've only been following JH a couple of years and already over his dangling bits and over hyped announcements. He seems like a nice guy. I just think he should chill with the pre-announcements and just say what he has to say when it's ready to be said. ;)
Amen...:)
Freedom - are there refrigerators in cabins?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Yes. I read somewhere that they might not have refrigerators and called CCL. They said yes most cabins do.
