I would do it for that length of time. More space, some additional perks and double cruise points (if that will matter in the long run) would make it worth it for me.
-
I would do it if the only additional cost was $500.
-
We did it because it was included with our room, but I think if I had paid for three people I would have been disappointed. That said, it is a neat concept and probably worth doing as a lot of people really enjoy it. Dessert is spectacular.

Luminae felt less crowded than CK and the food and service were quite good. I preferred the view and open feel of CK/SL to Luminae and Michael’s Club. They are all quite nice, but Oasis Is much larger than the Reflection (where we had a suite) so is something to consider as well. Really enjoyed both vessels and their suite venues.

I have on occasion and do not know if it makes a difference, but since I was going to do it anyway, some before and some at the end versus all at the end should not make things worse and may help a bit. I have never been anything but pleased with the service I have received, but do not know how or if additional tipping before the end affected the service.

I am betting on RCI. Our Genie gave us some great gifts that proved he read our survey and mentioned that he had to work with the shore side folks to find the particular t-shirt he got for us. Since none of the items we received were from the on-board shops he either dashed out while we were in a port or on turnaround day (which seems unlikely) or worked with other RCI staff to procure them. I do not know this for certain, just seems likely. I would guess, as I did prior to this thread, that most people assume any gifts are funded by RCI and while they may adjust a gratuity for the thoughtfulness, there is a possibility that the additional gratuity would not cover the cost.

CLS are great rooms and we really enjoy deck 17. The two bathrooms, high ceilings and large windows give the rooms a much more open feel than any "traditional" room I have stayed in. Proximity to CK/SL are not super valuable, but they are nice, especially for coffee and breakfast. With those things said however, I do not think I would spend the extra $1,300 as that would cover airfare and/or dining, excursions, etc. Just my $.02, you will have a great time in either room. Sky Class is worth the cost, at least to us.

1985 SS Norway. I remember how elegant dining was, but not much more as I was only 15.

You may want to look at a Crown Loft Suite. It is not much less expensive and there is a lot of discussion about which is better, but we really enjoy being on 17 and having the extra bathroom even if it is just two of us. Proximity to the Suite Lounge and the Coastal Kitchen is nice as well. Keep an eye out though, a GS may well become available between now December.

Balcony all the way. Spent more time on it than anywhere else on our Alaska cruise. Enjoyed it so much I will probably do it again.

Our Genie definitely read ours. My niece is a Harry Potter fan and got a color changing mug and I think a T-Shirt. I put Jerry Garcia as someone I would have liked to have dinner with and got a really nice T-Shirt related to him. I also mentioned cigars in the questionnaire and he gave me a travel humidor along with two ship models, towels and such. It was a great way to end the trip, they were waiting for us when we returned from dinner on the last evening.

We saw it as well and enjoyed it as much or more than the Fine Line.

For me it is always about price. I booked one about 8 months out NR at the best pricing I have seen.

Same here, Oct 21st 2018 Allure Grand Panoramic Suite for 2, $7,500 all in. The week before it is $11,250 and have seen it close to $7,500/pp. Not the best deal ever, but sure is solid.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was concerned about the noise issue and am so pleased to hear it is not a problem. Looking forward to the view and hot tub. Thanks again.

Having done OS, CLS and SLS, if I was going to go Sky Class on Oasis Class, GS seems to be the way to go. Although for me if a CLS was within $500 total, I would give one a try, but that is just my preference, some folks swear by OS over CLS.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip. I really enjoy your reviews and always learn something. Thanks again.

I have had the same problem several times when trying to book Star suites. I would choose it on RCL website and it would invariably say not available, but when I called my TA, voila, it was available. Not sure why it happens, but it does.

Maybe we can get a WOW sale combined with the Buy One Get One for 50% sale so we can pay three times the price;) I really struggle to understand most of the sales, but the one with $1000 off Star Class was actually a real savings for us.
-
I do not remember the pricing, but the seafood tower and any other add-ons in Chops and everything in Izumi is included as well.

We have done three over the water cabanas and love them. Unfortunately I think the Barefoot Beach ones are pushing $500 now so they are pricey, but as was said previously, being away from the crowds is nice and having a "home base" for things while on excursions and such is nice. Whether it is a bungalow or cabana, I say do it :)

Thank you for taking the time to review the various aspects of Star Class. Sebastian was our Genie and he was exceptional, but he has been at it awhile and really made the trip special for us. He checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed and the gifts we received showed he read the questionnaire. I still wear the Jerry Garcia shirt he got for me. I am not sure I would pay the price we paid again, but the deal we got on our Allure sailing in made it worth doing Star at least one more time. I hope it is close to our last experience, but if not, it will still be a heck of a time.

We have done several Sky sailings in Crown Lofts and really enjoyed them. Not quite the VIP treatment we get in Star, but still had excellent service. We find the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen a nice way to get away from the crowds and the help we get with things from the Concierge that can be painful from guest services. We were able to board early, leave conveniently and if you are heading to Labadee you will enjoy Barefoot Beach. Have a great trip and don’t be shy about asking for things that will make your trip special.

Curious as well. We are on the Allure in October and would like to go there.
Upgrade potential with $850 is this a good deal?

Glad to learn that. Thank you.
